@Nedsk is attempting to state to you something you will never accept,
but that is, however, exactly what the NT teaches.
Without faith it is impossible to please God. Hebrews.
But faith is not EVERYTHING....
to faith we must add good works.
THIS is what Jesus was teaching in Matthew 25.
Jesus was advocating that AFTER we believe in HIM....
we better do what HE said we are to do.
And your strawman is very tiring.
NO ONE on this forum believes we are saved by works.
But works are necessary if we believe IN GOD.....
Works are necessary in order to be obedient to God.
If we are NOT obedient....
we will not see heaven but the wrath of God will remain.
John 3:36
36 "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."
James 1:22
22But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
John 14:21
21Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.”
You always leave out Ephesians 2:10
We are created for good works.
You are participating in a performance based salvation system that requires obedience to God.
Obedience to God requires good works.
One day this will be accepted.
God will not be coming down from heaven to create a better world...
WE have been entrusted to do this.
Jesus said the Kingdom of heaven is at hand...
REPENT.
Matthew 4:17
Of course those on the right hand are there because of their good deeds.
It's CLEARLY what Jesus stated.
Jesus said that if we DO NOT BEAR FRUIT...
we will be cut off from the vine.
John 15:2
2 "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away;
Why are the words of Jesus ignored?
Works are the CONDITION OF...
or Jesus wouldn't be putting some to His left.
Very easy to understand
IF one wants to understand.
Right.
NOT practicing righteousness is not obeying God.
Does not LOVING OUR BROTHERS mean we should be actually DOING something?
Again....
James 2:14-17
14 What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food,
16 and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and be filled," and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?
17 Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.
Go ahead MMD.
Explain how the above, written by an Apostle of Jesus, does not mean what it says.
