does God repent for us?

thks

Yes, Jesus repented for us:

[Act 5:31 KJV] – 31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand [to be] a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

And from/ because/ as a result of His repentance, we repent from trust in our works for salvation unto full and complete trust in Jesus Christ's works as Savior for our salvation,

Scooterjackson, your individual replies fail to address the literal definitions of the text, and your verses describe corporate timelines and unregenerate natures rather than the loss of individual salvation. Please consider the actual words of the verses.
First, your use of Romans 11:21–22 to claim a child of God can lose their salvation obscures the corporate context of the chapter. In Romans 11:13, Paul explicitly states who he is addressing: "For I speak to you Gentiles." He is not writing about individual salvation. He is speaking corporately about the dispensational timelines of national groups. The natural branches represent national Israel, who were corporately broken off from the position of visible gospel privilege. The "Gentiles" represent the collective non-Jewish nations who were corporately grafted in to hear the word. The fact that verse 17 says "some" of the branches were broken off proves this is national, because God never cast away His individual elect remnant inside Israel. The warning that the Gentiles can be cut off means that if the Gentile nations as a collective group do not continue in that light, God will remove the visible position of gospel privilege from the Gentile world. It has nothing to do with an eternal child of promise going to hell.
Second, you quote 2 Peter 2:20 to claim a saved person can fall away and be lost. But you left out the literal description of these people in verse 22. The text flatly states: "The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire." Peter does not say a sheep turned into a dog or a sow. Their inner nature was always a dog and a sow. They experienced an outward cleanup of their behavior through head knowledge, but they never possessed a new heart or the indwelling gift of God. When they return to the world, they are simply acting according to their true nature.
Third, your claim about the word castaway in 1 Corinthians 9:27 denies the explicit preaching context of the sentence. Paul says: "lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway." The disqualification is strictly tied to his office as a preacher and the loss of his reward crown in the earthly race, not his eternal security. God made salvation strictly a family affair where the family's father rightfully rescues only his children having no responsibility nor commitment to do so for any others. Before that rescue, we were spiitually dead.

If all remain sinners, what is the point of even teaching them about Jesus and His resurrection ?
Nobody changes.
Thankfully, I know that to be untrue.
Many have changed from serving sin, to serving the Lord.
And no man can serve 2 masters. (Matt 6:24)
You claim to be sinless, but we have an example of you committing sin. Why do you keep changing the subject?

Yes, Jesus repented for us:

[Act 5:31 KJV] – 31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand [to be] a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
Oh please.

Don't tell me you think this means that "Jesus repented for us".

You cannot be this dense.

Was the unforgiving servant forgiven of his massive debt? Matthew 18:21-35
Lamar, the text in Matthew 18:27 explicitly says the lord forgave him THAT debt. By using the word THAT to specifically refer to the 10,000 talents, it tells us there were other debts outside of that transaction. Once it was forgiven, he could no longer be held responsible for it, therefore there must have been other debts that allowed the master to hold him responsible for their payment too otherwise he would legally have had to be released if that was his only debt, but he wasn't released. That specific unpayable debt - the 10,000 talents - was completely cancelled, but it did not include his other obligations. The issue later in the parable is not of losing eternal salvation (if that is your point), but the new debt of wickedness he incurred when he refused to show mercy over a tiny earthly debt that was owed him in verse 28. This sin against his fellow servant is what caused him to be delivered to the tormentors in verse 34 for heavy temporal chastisement in this life until all that was due was accounted for. In the spiritual sense, refusing to forgive a brother does not undo the cross nor remove salvation in this life, but it brings the heavy hand of family discipline and chastisement from the Father.

It means His work is finished and people like you cannot add whatever definitive you like to His words.

But your work isn't finished, right? Your work of confusing scripture and judging who is saved and who is not saved will never be finished. ☹️
