Well this was easy:

If we put down every time we have been called a derogatory name..we would fill this thread up fast...I myself have been called a neo-gnostic greasy-gracist....a liar...he changed my name to greasy-gracist777.......we have been called the classic satanic...etc..

I have no desire to go through the threads to document this as anyone who views these threads knows all about this nonsense...I did it for him once back in December 1015 and when I gave him the option to either stop or be put on ignore..it wasn't very edifying to go back and document for him his slander...he chose to be put on ignore....I didn't want to report him and get him in trouble as he does have some good things to say on some topics.

Now I'm ignoring him and others like him and just responding to scriptures to any posts that I can see in other people's posts that quote them....sometimes I check to see if they are showing any signs of repentance too....

I leave him and the others that are like this in the Lord's hands.....He will be faithful to them and reveal Himself. It's the kindness of God that leads us to repentance.

( see grace believers repent constantly when we are confronted with the truth that is in knowing Jesus and what He has done for us. ) The Lord gives us the grace...we thank Him for that.

That's the hard part. we can not get to proud, or even look as being proud. I did not like posting I confessed twice yesterday, Made me feel dirty, like I was bragging or something, I hope people did not think hat.

I can say I believe I am saved by faith not works till I am blue in he face. If I follow that by proclaiming obedience is required to stay saved, I am teaching works not grace.

Name one. I have yet to see one person claim this.

If you really believe that we are saved by grace alone and never by our own efforts, why would you be here using "grace only" as a pejorative term, instead of as a positive expression of what alone saves us??

Yes--I think so. I am not saying I am right--just sharing how I understand it.

A warning exists in these verses:

"...whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins"

This warning is followed by a call-to-action:

"...be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall"

We are encouraged to 'practice these qualities' so that we do not become blind, forget, and fail. We should desire to seek a 'rich entrance' into the 'eternal kingdom' as "partakers of the divine nature" (verse 5).

Verse 5, in ESV, reads: "For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue (excellence), and virtue with knowledge..."

Peter goes on to say: "Therefore I intend always to remind you of these qualities, though you know them and are established in the truth that you have. 13 I think it right, as long as I am in this body,[h] to stir you up by way of reminder..."

Peter wants all 'brethren' in Christ to have this rich entrance into the Kingdom. It is not clear to me why, at this point, perhaps the reason is as simple as an expression of Peter's Godly love for fellow Believers; Peter has experienced the "riches" God has bestowed on him while still in his earthly 'tent'--what greater riches await those who are 'diligent to confirm their election and calling'!

I think Peter is a great guy........you just need to understand that it SEEMS Peter believes being a great guy gets people to heaven.

One needs to read between the lines and critique a bit........And some of us are. Thus the "victim" thread.

Salvation may be in the balance here......so we should press it.

Peters message is salvation. the only thing I personally would add to what peter said, is all things are for and in, and because of, Jesus. to listen to what He is saying in the op, will bring salvation to anyone who focuses on what He said and not how we perceive it was said. sometimes a message is so true and good, we look between the lines, because something in us, wants to find a reason not to listen to the good message. to say obey, seems harsh to a man. thats why we lay ourselves down, the part of us that doesn't want to accept that Jesus is our teacher also, teaching us the will of God. we follow, but it truly is all by Grace the death and resurrection of Jesus is the key to salvation. Obedience to Christ is the order of the kingdom of God. forgiveness is a law in Christ, so we know we aren't dead when we fail in trying to follow and anyone whop sets their goal on Jesus, will fail at times, not condemnation, but repent and learn from it is the way.. as we follow Him, we change by Grace. it works.


Our goal is only what Jesus is saying to us, no matter how much we want to follow our own self, its all about denying me, and following Him, his ways. this heals the inner man and conforms or changes His thinking to Gods will for our thinking. deceived through believing and then following the serpents words, redeemed through believing and then following Christs words. Jesus is the only way, so how does Jesus say this situation should be handled is the thought of a disciple

Here's a perfect example of the poisonous spirit that EG introduces to virtually every thread (IMO) he participates in. Here he has falsely accused me by saying: You do not care what anyone believes, nor do you know. You said it yourself.

In the post he's referring to I told one person this, yet his spirit of a false accuser turned it into a blanket accusation. This is not accidental. This is how he operates for some reason. There is no excuse for Christians doing this.

Are you talking to everyone but EG about your issue with EG?
