Old wine and new wine., what is the difference? Luke 5: 38, 39.

It means that those who have THE NEW WINE have no need for old wine...
And those who have old wine, can´t mix the two...they have to recognize that THE NEW WINE is better....
But they don´t
One day they will...when HE chooses to open their eyes....until then, they will continue with old wine...

If it's done in the flesh, it will consume the person, i.e., "the bush"; however, if it's done by the Power of the Holy Spirit, the bush will burn and not be consumed (Exodus 3:2, Romans 8:2).

The old wineskins are our old, sinful, dead heart.
New wineskins are the new heart God gives us.
I believe the wine represents the Hoky Spirit.
God will not pour His Holy Spirit into our old dead hearts. We have to first get a new heart from Him before He does that.
It means you better get to studying, and stop asking so many questions, but I am joking.
Old wine, the ways of the flesh, sins.
New wine, the ways of the Spirit.
Luk 5:37 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.
New wine cannot go in to old bottles, for a person must be forgiven of their sins, a new vessel, to be able to receive the Holy Spirit.
And those without the new wine, the Holy Spirit, shall perish.
Luk 5:38 But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.
New wine goes in to new bottles, and they both are preserved, the Holy Spirit goes in to new vessels when their sins are forgiven.
Without the forgiveness of sins to get rid of the old wine, the new wine, the Holy Spirit, cannot be active in their life for salvation.
Luk 5:39 No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.
The world will not repent of their sins, and not believe the truth, and does not desire the new wine, for they say the old wine is better, the ways of the world.
OLD WINE = THE OLD COVENANT
NEW WINE = THE NEW COVENANT
Christians are not to mix the two covenants, since the New Covenant is far superior to the Old. Just as Christ is far superior to Moses.
HEBREWS 3: CHRIST MORE EXCELLENT THAN MOSES
1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
2 Who was faithful to Him that appointed Him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
3 For this Man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
4 For every house is builded by some man; but He that built all things is God. [Note: a reference to God the Word as the Creator]
5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
6 But Christ as a Son over His own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
New wine represents the New Testament. Old wine is fermented grapes that gets people drunk.
(Acts 2:13 Other s mocking said, These men are full of new wine.)
For sure the new wine represents the gospel/new testament K16, the old wine the old covenant. The old wine probably tasted better as it aged therefore the comparison.
Same motif of new as against the old with this:
(Mat 9:16 No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse)
I’m thinking it’s the old nature vs the new nature. Salvation. If you do things that a saved person would do, that’s all well and good but you can’t have that change of heart totally like a saved person can.

So the person reading the Old Testament would prefer it over the New Testament?
Life is in the blood.
Wine is likened to life.
Water is also likened to life.
We drink water, we live, but we drink the Wine from Jesus/Yeshua, and we have new life, the best life..
This parable fits the dynamics of Divine Revelation.
Divine revelation by definition introduces concepts and ideas. Concepts and ideas never before known. The concepts and the language developed previously is insufficient to define the New. Combinations of words and concepts are used until language is developed to define it. The language developed to define Divine Revelation given to Moses was unable to express the Divine Revelation of the Incarnation.

I believe the intent was to contrast a drunken spirit with the spirit of Christ. The spirit of Christ being the new wine ADDED to the EXISTING wine which was the Old Testament.
Old wine is fermented and corrupted, God doesn’t refer to his word using corrupt metaphors. Spirituality, old wine represents things like the Azusa street revival or the wine of dispensationalism.
Deu 32:32 (KJV) For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:
Deu 32:33 Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.
The above is old wine... fermented, corrupt.
Ya missing the point of the parable K16, Jesus would not compare the old covenant with a "drunken spirit". Trying to compare the vine of Sodom is miss to the point that they would drift away from the old covenant commands and become like Sodom, Egypt and Babylon as per John his revelation.
(Deu 32:20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.)
In your interpretation of the parable, you have Jesus saying “No man, after experiencing the old covenant, wants to experience the new covenant because the old covenant is better”.
Do you really think that’s the message Jesus is trying to convey to the reader? I don’t agree with that at all.

I think that's exactly what he'saying K16 if you'd stopped at "new covenant", and I wouldn't quite describe it as "experiencing".
The analogy of the old garment is easier to understand - like old comfortable shoes, trying to repair them "seems" better than getting a new pair and 'breaking" them in.
