You are doing the exact intellectual dishonesty that I mentioned. You take one excerpt out of context and build an argument on it. Yes, people living your life according to Biblical truths is good. Taking scripture and thinking that situationally it apples to your life is often erroneous. Do you think we should go cities and kill every man, woman, child and animal? That’s what God said to do in the Bible. It’s scripture so clearly that’s what to do. Or how about this:Really? You consider this "good stuff": I think we do a disservice to ourselves by trying to apply Scripture to our lives?
Did everyone get that? It is a mistake to apply Scripture to your life! So what should one do? Read Karl Marx or Adolf Hitler?
27Then he said to them, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.’ ” 28The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died. 29Then Moses said, “You have been set apart to the Lord today, for you were against your own sons and brothers, and he has blessed you this day.” Strap your sword, kill your sons, and brothers. That’s what God said to do, and you will be blessed.
