Hey Everyone,
Not long ago, MissCris had an awesome thread about the things we DON'T like (steak was one of her examples) that make people think we're weird.
Lately I've been thinking about the opposite side of the coin: what you all DO like that makes other people think you're nuts (and I'm sorry if this has been done before... I try to keep up with the threads in Singles but I'm good at missing the boat... and often, entire fleets at a time
).
What are the things that you absolutely love that will cause others to scratch their heads, crinkle their noses, or, in my case, make a call to someone with a straight jacket? (I've come to think of them a fashion statements, not states of mind.
)
I probably have an entire list of things I love that make people think I'm off my rocker (rockers throw off my balance anyway).
But the inspiration for this thread is the fact that I was recently on two flights that had several hours of turbulence, and I loved every single moment of it. Yeah, it sometimes makes me pretty nauseous (motion sickness) but to me, airplane turbulence is like riding a roller coaster -- for some reason, I'm not worried at all about the plane crashing -- I figure, if it's my turn for God to punch my ticket, it's going to happen anyway... so I might as well enjoy the ride, right?
Yes, people think I'm crazy.
It happens so often that I've come to see it as a compliment.
How about the rest of you?
What things float your boat that make others believe your ship already sank a long time ago?
