Hello, I hope you're all well. I'm writing because my 18 year old cat has, over the last few days, gone from from acting normal and spunky to being wobbly and terribly sick. The doctor initially told us it was probably cancer, lymphoma; however, she also didn’t run a number of tests to confirm or rule out other potential causes, like infection. My poor girl began to deteriorate, so we took her to an emergency vet the very next day, where she was given a urine test. It turns out she has an extreme bladder infection. They think she also might have cancer, but this infection can mimic some of the cancer symptoms. So, maybe not... Regardless, she is very, very sick. I’m asking for your prayers to heal my munchkin. She’s such a good girl, and it breaks my heart that this might be her end, especially since the bladder infection wasn’t caught earlier. She’s on antibiotics now, but she’s looking bad. Please pray for healing. Thank you.

Dear lord send healing. Touch that little animal in the Name of Jesus

I stand with my brother/ sister.
We ask for your mercy and compassion on this animal.
I rebuke this condition and the root of it.
Get off this animal now in Jesus mighty name.
Back off.
GO!!!!!!

Come Lord Jesus.

Quote Matthew 18:18 over your cat.
Also Matthew 18;19.

Then bind infection, and every infirmity
Lose restoration, life and virtue.

Do it over and over and over.
That is warfare

Battle for your cat.

The key thing right now is to make sure she's eating and drinking. If she's not, there are specialty cat foods and prescription meds that will stimulate the appetite. I'm disappointed to hear your regular vet missed the signs and did not take a more proactive approach. Things like that make me angry. Thank God the emergency vet figured it out.

If you feel more should have been done and your vet is consistently not up to the task, there's no harm in seeking out a new vet. I had to do this a year ago for similar reasons. Very sick [and very beloved] cat but the vet assumed the wrong diagnosis and ran with it. I knew in my heart it was not right, so out of desperation I found our new vet, and it's like night and day for the better.

I hope and pray your sweet angel kitty makes a full recovery very soon. I understand how precious these tiny creatures are and how much love and joy they give back to us.

I have devoted my whole life to my animals for I feel if we have no mercy upon the things man considers to be "bellow" him, than how can we expect the same love and mercy from about. and I found they taught me how to love. My heart hurts terribly thinking about all the pain that comes with it when you feel sooo deeply for each one of them but I believe this is my gift. All we can do in the end is love. Praying for your cat to be normal and spunky again.

Hi again @ocer! I pray all is well with your sweet munchkin and that God has healed her. Let us know how she is doing if you're up for it. No worries if you're not, though. We understand.

Animals are truly gifts from God.
I've raised a few too and can see His handiwork in most.

I don't know if it's toxic to cats, but I have used organic, 100% cranberry juice to clear up renal issues like urinary tract infections in my family.
It's one of those folk remedies that really works quite often.
Lots of water and poopies rids the body of toxins.
I assume that the vet took a fresh stool sample and diagnosed parasites under his microscope and administered appropriate wormer.
