I really enjoy having birds visit the garden and since we have had a few inches of snow, I've made sure there's food and water out there for them. So far I've seen some blackbirds, sparrows, bluetits and a robin. What kind of wildlife is around where you are right now? Hope you are all doing well.

Well there isn't any snow here, but in the backyard, we can usually see deer, blue jays, sparrows, mockingbirds, swifts, hawks, wild turkeys, robins, squirrels, and that's just the usual suspects 
Where my parents live, they see wild turkeys, mourning doves, chickadees, cardinals.. You name it, they see it.. lol

There have been a lot of quails visiting here lately. Once in awhile a cardinal comes by. There are also mourning doves that come often...
Last night a coyote crossed the street in front of my car near my house (it was far up ahead). One night a couple months ago I saw 3 coyotes standing in the street. And one day I saw a bobcat walking from the sidewalk to the side of a house. It was pretty big too.

Here in Mid-western Florida, we have the ever present Grey Squirrels, Mockingbirds, Blue Jays, Doves, Sparrows, Crows & Blackbirds, Muscovy Ducks, and some kind of little tiny bird (about 3" long.) The Robins and Storks are making their migratory trips through the area. The Turkey Vultures, Owls, Hawks and Ospreys are year-round residents. There are probably a dozen more I can't think of. Armadillos, Opossums, and Raccoons, for sure. And a few Rabbits.

There are osprey, canadian geese, owls, herons, lizards, turtles, snakes, squirrels, bats in my area. We also have gators, dolphins, manatees, and the lovely Mary Lee (a popular great white shark that migrates up and down the east coast, she always makes the news when she's spotted back in town.)

Out here in BC I get stellar jays, I have seen a varied thrush (my neighbor is very particular that I get the names right), and the usual crows, sparrows, occasional woodpecker and raven.
I've seen large owls on two occassions here. One actually tried to fly into the dining room window one night! The other one I saw perched on top of a streetlight during the early evening.... Maybe they were the same owl.. IDK.
Wow thanks for all your replies - that's so interesting, I've never seen many of the creatures you are mentioning! The only animal visitors I have seen visiting the garden in my lifetime (though not recently) are hedgehogs and once a fox. The most unusual bird was once a kestrel.

So... if I ever go to Singapore, I won't even bother asking what kinds of appetizers are available.
(I'm guessing that if you ask for a plate of wings... It's safe to assume that they weren't pulled from chickens.

Yes! It is fantastic. I used to always arrive at my construction jobs before daylight. And, I would do this in an open field. Occasionally the owls would swoop down at me, and I could actually feel the wind from their wings. It gives you goose bumps.

I know there are more than sparrows and pigeons, egrets, kingfishers, parrots, chickens, turkeys and ducks nearby. But i need to sleep and just got up to finish something, and so forgetful when need more sleep. Ah, I know theres still a firefly inside the house wc i saw last night. Good night.

The birds here in winter include ravens, house sparrows (invasive from Europe), a few hardy robins and crows, and, less commonly, snowy owls. I see them almost every day, waiting atop poles for dinner to wander by. In the fields we get snow buntings, though I haven't seen any yet this year. Last winter I saw my first crossbill, so my life list got one tick longer.
In summer there are hundreds of species; I live within the great American flyway, so we get literally millions of shorebirds and waterfowl through the area in spring and autumn.
