mmm, some things changed for me when I started following God. I LOVE to read, it's my favourite past time and I could do it all day long. One of my favorite genres was romance novels. They were hot, and steamy, and thrilling, plus I love a good love story. Now, I still read novels that are romantically themed, but I skip over the sex scenes. I love the imagination and the actual plot in the books more now, and I still like how romances begin and bud and bloom, but I don't need the sex part in it. Now whenever I get to one of those cheesy excuses for a "love scene" I roll my eyes and skip it.
I've also found that my taste in movies has changed. A good trashy movie with lots of cussing and highly sexual themes like Van Wilder, Miss March, etc, used to be so funny to me. Now I find them vulgar and offensive and disgusting.
But, I still read novels, I still watch tv and movies, and of course, I still play lots and lots of video games! I just have to remember to put them down and read a couple chapters in my Bible, talk to God while I'm doing dishes, pray every time I open a door. As long as you are making room for God, the Holy Spirit will tell you what to do and not do using your conscience. If you pick up that game and you get that nagging feeling...you know, you really should be reading your Bible right now, then listen, put the game down, and go read the Bible for a bit, then come back to your game. Or if you are watching an anime (which some have a tendancy to be very...suggestive) and you find yourself feeling guilty for watching it because it's vulgar, or too violent, or whatever, then stop watching it and watch something else instead. Listening to your conscience is a good place to start!
