Problem with the rainbow.
-->Dan58 : “It didn't rain on earth until the flood, so rainbows didn't exist until afterwards. "For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth" (Genesis 2:5)”.

But this is wrong because if your read both verses 4 and 5 it says that no plant had yet sprung because it did not rain yet so this implies that plant couldn’t have grown without rain. Therefore rain existed before Noah because there were plants at Noah’s time.

So again how come before the flood there were no rainbows when you have sunlight, rain refraction of light?

“Adam and Eve
4 This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, when the Lord God made the earth and the heavens.5 Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth and no plant had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no one to work the ground.” (Genesis 2:4-5)

Problem with the creation.
-->Dan58 : “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, the 6 day creation began long after that. The big bang is just a theory, science says that from nothing, nothing comes. So what caused this alleged 'bang'?”

Let’s forget about the Big Bang being only a theory. Let me point to something you didn’t
address:
In the bible clearly says God made the light and after then the sun, moon and stars.
I think everyone here can accept that lights comes from out star, the sun and that this is a fact not just a theory .

So then how can their be light without the sun?

"And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good,
and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness
he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day."(Genesis 1:3)
“Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them
serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the vault
of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. 16 God made two great lights—the greater
light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars."(Genesis 1:14-16)

Hell is a place of eternal torment and torture.
-->Dan58 : “No where does it say that hell is eternal torture.”

But this is wrong.
Bible tells us that if man does not confesses his sins and ask for forgiveness during his life on Earth there will be consequences after death meaning spending an eternity in hell a place of eternal torture and torment together with devil and his fallen angels. The only salvation comes through Jesus Christ. Let’s look at some verse:
“23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
“6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. “(John 14:6)
”9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. “(1 John 1:9)

Hell is a place of torment also for the devil and his fallen angels :
"10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever."(Revelation 20:10)

Hell is a place of torment for wicked men:
"10 they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” "(Revelation 14:10-11)

"41
“Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me
,you who are curse, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels"(Matthew 24:41)
[h=1]Punishment that goes on forever:
"46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” "(Matthew 25:46)[/h] Hell is a place of darkness reserved, not annihilation:
"13 They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever."(Jude 13)

Hell is banishment away from God's presence:
“9 They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might” (2 Thessalonians 1:9)
[h=1]Hell is a place of great torment:
"50 and throw them into the blazing furnace, where will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."(Matthew 13:50)
[/h][h=1]Unquenchable Fire:
"43 If your hand cause you to stumble, cut it of. It is better for you to enter life maimed then with two hands to go to hell, where the fire never goes out."(Mark 9:43)
[/h][h=1]“48 where “‘the worms that eat them do not die, and the fire is not quenched.’ “(Mark 9:48)[/h]As we can see hell is indeed a place of eternal torment and torture.

So again how can all loving God in his infinite wisdom, mercy punish his beloved children so infinitely severe for sins committed in a finite life?

Revelation of God.

-->Chester: “If what is said in Romans 1:19-23 (see Post #38 by Tonyjay) is true, then all peoples at a deep level know the truth about there being one almighty powerful God. but though they have known this truth, they go out and worship the sun, moon, and other gods anyway. So if Romans 1:19-23 is true, then your example given above is invalid because it could not happen. Or, yes, it could happen as you tell it, but the person who would live this way would know that he is not following what at a deeper level he knows is truth.”

I don’t agree with you .Let’s look at the verses from Romans:
“19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualitieshis eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

"21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles. (Romans 1:19-23)”.

Something that is invisible to someone can’t be plain, easy to perceive or understand by that someone. Many atheists didn’t choose to ignore the voice in their minds and hearts that told them a God exists, they maybe didn’t heard it. Some of them they maybe look for an outer being with their hearts and minds all their life but failed in their quest .So how come
an all loving God in his infinite wisdom, mercy punish them to an eternity of torment in hell?

An don’t tell that every person that lived so far had discovered the truth in their heart and mind and that the majority of them chose to ignore this because they wanted to be sinful. That’s absurd. Why would you choose to ignore if you knew that there is an all powerful being that created you, the universe and not be interested, curious, eager to have some sort of relationship with the most important being in the universe ? It also absurd to assume that billions of people would do such a thing.
[h=1] -->Tintin:” Someone has a warped perspective of so-called prehistoric times! Every known ancient pagan culture at some point practiced human sacrifice and/or cannibalism. So your morally upright pagan is a piece of fiction cooked up by secular humanists. Besides all of humanity knew the one true God before the tower of Babel dispersion, most just chose to ignore Him and do their own thing.”[/h]How can you judge ancient people choice to do human sacrifices to their gods when God of the bible condoned such practices
.First let’s look at Abraham who was asked by God to sacrifice his son. He accepts and as he is about to kill his son God changes his mind and stops him. Even though he didn’t kill his son, all being a test, how would an all loving God in his infinite wisdom would ask someone to kill his most beloved and only son ?

“Abraham Tested 22 Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!” “Here I am,” he replied. 2 Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.”” (Genesis 22:1-2)
“12 “Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.” (Genesis 22:12)

Secondly , let’s look at the story of Jephthah who asks God the help to defeat the Ammonites and in return he offers as human sacrifice the first who will greet him when he returns home. God helps him defeat them. He then goes home. The one who comes out to meet him was his virgin daughter. Then he sacrificed her to God.

“Then the Spirit of the Lord came on Jephthah. He crossed Gilead and Manasseh, passed through Mizpah of Gilead, and from there he advanced against the Ammonites. 30 And Jephthah made a vow to the Lord: “If you give the Ammonites into my hands, 31 whatever comes out of the door of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites will be the Lord’s, and I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering.”34 When Jephthah returned to his home in Mizpah, who should come out to meet him but his daughter, dancing to the sound of timbrels! She was an only child. Except for her he had neither son nor daughter.35 When he saw her, he tore his clothes and cried, “Oh no, my daughter! You have brought me down and I am devastated. I have made a vow to the Lord that I cannot break.” …
3
9 After the two months, she returned to her father, and he did to her as he had vowed. And she was a virgin.
(Judges 11:28-34,39)

Why would an all loving God accept Jephthah offer off human sacrifice in exchange for help?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What about these other issues? No thoughts?

At least one infant or young child was killed in the flood.

Infants and young children are incapable of fully understanding either their spiritual condition or God's requirements for salvation. Can God judge them even though they don't understand the basis of that judgment?

The Bible does indicate that children are innocent, for example, when
describing how some of the Israelites in the Valley of Benhinnom had become corrupt so as
to sacrifice their own (innocent) children:
"Because they have forsaken Me and have made this an alien place and have burned sacrifices in it to other gods, that neither they nor their forefathers nor the kings of Judah had ever known, and because they have filled this place with the blood of the innocent and have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, a thing which I never commanded or spoke of, nor did it ever enter My mind;" (Jeremiah 19:4-5)
There you have an analogy between corrupt men and infants who are innocent.

"Moreover, your little ones who you said would become a prey, and your sons, who this day have no knowledge of good or evil, shall enter there, and I will give it to them and they shall possess it. (Deuteronomy 1:39)"

The Bible clearly indicates that children are regarded as being innocent because of their lack
of ability to discern between good and evil, they are no capable of making moral choices.
So they are morally correct in the eyes of God.
Let’s see what righteous means = morally right or justifiable, good, virtuous, upstanding, worthy.
As we can see children are not corrupted but innocent, righteous and blameless in eyes of God.

"9 This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.10 Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham and
Japheth.11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways." (Genesis 6:9)
There you have an analogy between corrupt men and Noah who is righteous and blameless.
So again i ask how come God didn't saved all the babies or young children but he did Noah ?

Concept of free will and the story of Noah

Man can choose not to serve the God of the bible , so this implies he does have free will.
[SUP] “[/SUP]15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)”

Because man has free will that means he can do as he wishes during his life: he can choose to be a force of good or a force of evil in this world, to love God, hate him or just ignore him, to avoid sin or embracing it.

God then comes and kills all humans except for Noah and his family for their being too corrupt, violent, and evil. This goes in contradictions of the concept of free will, because if men really had free then God shouldn’t had destroyed them for their choices before death. So how come that he did?

”12 God saw how corrupt
the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. 13 So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. “(Genesis 6:12-13)

The impossible quest of Noah.

"Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, 3 and also seven pairs of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth. 4 Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.5 And Noah did all that the Lord commanded him.”(Genesis 7:2-4)

Here clearly God says that seven days from that moment he made the statement :go and take the land animals, the flood will come. Noah had to go ~11,000 km to Australia to get kangaroos or ~10,000 km to North America to get grizzly bears or ~5,000 km to China to get a panda bear and so on. So again how come Noah managed to cover hundreds of thousand of km to collect all the animals in just few days(or even few years)from every corner of the Earth?

What about these other issues? No thoughts?

Problem is that you raise too many issues at once.. No one can address so many questions in any detail without writing a book :). Sounds like you've hooked into one of those "Bible Skeptics" sites and its causing you to doubt? Nothing wrong with questioning what you believe, but try relaying one or two questions at a time, otherwise you overwhelm others.

"But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground" (Genesis 2:6)

The Light in Genesis 1:3 emanated from God himself (Shekinah glory). "God is Light" (John 1:5). "And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it" (Revelation 21:23). On the 4th day, God made the sun to sustain the light.

The Lake of Fire is eternal death, a permanent end, forever gone. The eternal torment is the result of judgement, the knowledge of condemnation is everlasting torment in that its irreversible.

The story of Adam and Eve -Adam and Eve were like small children : innocent , naive and with no knowledge of right and
wrong.God punished them for breaking his only rule by banishing them from a life of bliss, abundance,
immortality and no pain in Eden to a life of struggle, pain and mortality. They were bound to make
mistakes and not listen to their father because they haven’t experienced yet the consequences of
doing that. Also we must not forget that God didn’t explain what death is. If they had known that
for their transgression the punishment would be so severe they probably wouldn't have eaten the
forbidden fruit. So the question is how an all loving, just God in his infinite wisdom and mercy
could punish his beloved children so drastically at their first mistake?Isn't God's justice perfect?
God created Humans in this earth for His own glory.
( earth here is not this perishable earth, but the eternal earth /NHNE Rev21 ).

Isa43:7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

So at the beginning in the eternal realm before creation of the world there were : God, angels, devils and the spiritual beings He intent to create Adam, Eve, Abel, Seth,......, Noah,......., Abraham, Isaac, Jacob,......., last name in the book of life.

Adam cs were different with angels in knowledge and ability, angels were in perfect state meant they had known well good and bad /they had positive and negative will/they had freewill (by their own will they could choose obey=faithful angels or rebel =devils ) , but Adam cs were in zero state/ had no knowledge and ability , so they had positive will only , their full knowledge would be obtained by a process during their life in this perishable world (by this manner finally they can bring glory to God/ the purpose of creation is achieved well).

If angels are equiped by eternal body they can't bring glory to God as high as God wants, ( God wants His creatures will say (mouth and heart) : "the glorification is only for God" ).

Options:
1. Adam cs are created altogether at once .
there is no the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, there is Satan .
Surely they will live eternally , a million years later ( example ) they are asked :" How can you live so peaceful and in a glory "?.
They answer : of course , we are all created like and resemble to God.

question: do their answer bring glory to God ?.

2. Adam cs are created altogether at once .
They are given the tree of knowledge that the fruits of this tree are not allowed to be eaten , also they are given free will ( by their will they can choose whether obey or rebel ).
a million years later , God comes to judge them, all of them who have eaten the fruit are punished to dead, and only the obedience are still alive.
Then they are asked:" How can you live in health and peace, not like them who are punished and thrown to the lof"?.
Surely they answer :" of course, we obey Him more than them ".

question: do their answer bring glory to God ?.

3.Adam cs are created in steps , as the bible say.
Then in the NHNE (Rev 21), they are asked :" How can you live peacefully in this eternal earth, and in a glory with God , not like them who are thrown to the lake of fire together with the devils"?.
Surely they answer: "actually there is no more in us then they are, if they are thrown to the lof of course we have to be thrown to there too ( Isa 64:6 , Isa 26:12 , Rev 19:8 ), if we are here now, this is only His Glory and Charity ".

question: do their answer bring glory to God ?.

Isa64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Isa26:12 LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.

Rev19:8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

Sorry , i'l make a correction:

It ought to be written :
there is no the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, there is no Satan .

I have time only to answer this one question for now:

Your mistake is here that you assume things that the text doesn't say: You assume Noah had to travel to all the various locations around the globe to gather animals.

All the text says is that Noah was to gather seven pairs of each clean kind of animals and one pair of each unclean kind of animal. This was to "keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth". I interpret that phrase to mean he was to gather these animals so that after the flood these kinds would still be alive and could spread over all the earth. I don't see how that phrase can be used to prove that Noah had to travel through all the Earth to gather the kinds.

So how did Noah gather all the animals? The text doesn't say directly, so we are left to intelligent guessing. The story of a global flood is in the beginning a supernatural event, so to leave the supernatural out of the preparations for the flood is not necessary.

John Morris in "How Did Noah Gather the Animals" : "The Flood story, however, is not merely natural, it involves the supernatural. The Creator was moving to preserve His creation. Might it not be appropriate to propose that, as the Flood was nearing, He instilled in a chosen pair of each "kind" a sense of impending doom and a desire to migrate to Noah and his Ark for preservation? All other representatives of their kind perished in the Flood, and all living representatives descended from the chosen pairs, inheriting the premonition and migration instincts"

In any case, science easily documents that animals are able to accomplish amazing migrations, and how easily the Creator could have instilled this in the animals needed for the ark.

A supernatural explanation? Yes
Can it be scientifically proved? No
Does it make sense if one believes in a powerful Creator God? Yes

Problem with Noah story.
-->Dan58 : ” Problem is that you raise too many issues at once.. No one can address so many questions in any detail without writing a book . Sounds like you've hooked into one of those "Bible Skeptics" sites and its causing you to doubt? Nothing wrong with questioning what you believe, but try relaying one or two questions at a time, otherwise you overwhelm others. “
"But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground"(Genesis 2:6) “

I don’t think I raised too many issues at once because you are many on this forum , people much older then me, who have studied much more then men the bible and should answer to these questions with ease. I have at least 20 more issues, problems i found with the bible .These are only a few.

You are wrong .Let’s look again at verses 4-6 from Genesis 2:
[SUP]“5 [/SUP]Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth and no plant had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no one to work the ground, [SUP]6 [/SUP]but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground. “(Genesis 2:4-6)

God didn’t made rain yet because no plant had yet sprung so this implies that in the future when god made plants made implicitly also rain. I think that when he refers to streams that came from the ground and watered the earth all is saying is these were streams (small rivers) of fresh water.
Let’s look at what streams mean = a small, narrow river ; watercourse; creek ; "a mountain stream".
Therefore rain existed before Noah because there were plants at Noah’s time.

So again how come before the flood there were no rainbows when you have sunlight, rain refraction of light?

-->Chester : “John Morris in "How Did Noah Gather the Animals" : "The Flood story, however, is not merely natural, it involves the supernatural. The Creator was moving to preserve His creation. All other representatives of their kind perished in the Flood, and all living representatives descended from the chosen pairs, inheriting the premonition and migration instincts" .“

You are wrong.
1.Let’s look again at verses from Genesis 6 and 7:

[SUP]19 [/SUP]You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you. [SUP]20 [/SUP]Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive. [SUP]21 [/SUP]You are to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as food for you and for them.”(Genesis 6:19-21)
[SUP]“2 [/SUP]Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, [SUP]3 [/SUP]and also seven pairs of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth. [SUP]4 [/SUP]Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.”

If the animals are coming alone because of God’s command, why did he precisely
told Noah the number of pairs , and what kind of animals to bring in the ark; what was the point if God was doing all the work ?
This only proves that he indeed asked him to go and bring animals from every corner of the Earth.

Also why does the bible say God told Noah to bring 1 pair of every kind and then later 7 pairs of clean animals and birds and 1 pair unclean animals?

2.Let’s assume animals came alone because of God’s command.
But in this scenario the impossible only transfers from Noah to the animals themselves.

How could have a kangaroo go from Australia to Middle East across the Indian Ocean ?

3. Also God said to Noah to put in the ark food for every animal .Let’s take panda bear example .Noah had to go to great distance and bring bamboo for the panda .
Here is the distributions map of bamboo in the world : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bamboo#/media/File:Bambusoideae_World_map.png .
No bamboos in the Middle East. And this is just one example, there are many more.

So how come that he did this in just few days?

Problem with the creation.

-->Dan58 : The Light in Genesis 1:3 emanated from God himself (Shekinah glory). "God is Light"(John 1:5). "And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it" (Revelation 21:23). On the 4th day, God made the sun to sustain the light.

1. First let’s see what light is = a form of electromagnetic radiation of a wavelength which can be detected by the human eye. It is a small part of the electromagnetic spectrum and radiation given off by stars like the sun. Your assumption goes in contradiction with the scientific facts of how stars and light function.

2.Secondly let’s look again at verses 3-4 from Genesis 1:
“And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. [SUP]4 [/SUP]God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.[SUP]5 [/SUP]God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morningthe first day.”(Genesis 1:3-4)
As you can see we have the terms : day, night, evening and morning. But you can’t have a day and then a night , nor an evening and then a morning without a sun .
The day and night cycle, evening and morning cycle of the our world, refers to the rising and setting of the Sun and Moon. This a result of the rotation of the earth around its axis.

Let’s assume that your statement is somehow true contrary to science beliefs. So God could have created the universe in any fashion he would have wanted, being all powerful. But then man discovers and demonstrates through scientific process (which has proven reliable in the past and present because it has given us all the amazing inventions and things we use in our every day life like phones, televisions, cars, planes, satellites, medicine, internet, etc)how the universe works using the gifts God bestowed upon him like intelligence, curiosity, logic, imagination and a desire to question everything and then looks in the bible and sees a total different thing. God could have made the universe the way science tells us so we don’t question the story of creation the way it is told in the bible .
Why would an all loving God in his infinite wisdom want to confuse his most beloved creature and in the same time want for that creature to find him and believe in his existence? That’s absurd.

->>dhidv : “God created Humans in this earth for His own glory.
( earth here is not this perishable earth, but the eternal earth /NHNE Rev21 ).

If angels are equiped by eternal body they can't bring glory to God as high as God wants, ( God wants His creatures will say (mouth and heart) :"the glorification is only for God" ).
3.Adam cs are created in steps , as the bible say.
Then in the NHNE (Rev 21), they are asked :" How can you live peacefully in this eternal earth, and in a glory with God , not like them who are thrown to the lake of fire together with the devils"?.
Surely they answer: "actually there is no more in us then they are, if they are thrown to the lof of course we have to be thrown to there too ( Isa 64:6 , Isa 26:12 , Rev 19:8 ), if we are here now, this is only His Glory and Charity ".
question: do their answer bring glory to God ?.”

So what you are saying God made man because he wasn’t satisfied with the glory he received from the angels and thought that man being a mortal creature before getting to the New Heaven and New Earth, would give him glory in a more satisfactory fashion.
Let’s state some facts that are considered true in the bible about the attributes of God :
a. God is omnipresent ,omniscient ,all powerful.
b. God is infinite in his love, wisdom, mercy and his justice is perfect.

Because statement “a” and “b” is true it means God knows before the creation of angels and humans, that the mortal humans will give him glory in a more satisfactory fashion then the angels.
So why would he not choose to forget about the angels and only make mortal humans instead?
The way you present things only suggests God is not all powerful, omniscient and omnipresent. He is doing things by trial and error like scientists do when they create things .They don’t know the future outcome of their experiments so they make several tries before succeeding. If they knew the future they would get it right by the first try, therefore eliminate all the possible future bad tries.

In conclusion yes your model explains somehow why God created man that way he did and why the story of Adam and Eve went the way it did .But goes in contradiction with statement “a”.

Hell / lake of fire is a place of eternal torment and torture :
-->Dan58 : “The Lake of Fire is eternal death, a permanent end, forever gone. The eternal torment is the result of judgement, the knowledge of condemnation is everlasting torment in that its irreversible.”

You are wrong. Let’s establish some facts from the bible :

1. The Bible tells us that after death the souls/spirits of believers in Jesus Christ are taken to heaven, because their sins are forgiven by having received Christ as Savior:

“Believers Who Have Died
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. [SUP]14 [/SUP]For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14)

[SUP]“43 [/SUP]Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” “
(Luke 23:43)

2. The Bible tells us that the souls/spirits of unbelievers after death are taken go to Hades(home of the dead), a temporary place of torment until the final judgement and the final sentence is named.

[SUP]“22 [/SUP]“The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. [SUP]23 [/SUP]In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. “(Luke 16:22-23)

“The Judgment of the Dead
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. [SUP]12 [/SUP]And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. (Revelation 20:11-12)

3.The first death kills the body and the second death kills the soul. First death is the consequence of Adam first sin .The consequence of not being saved in Jesus Christ is the second death with is followed by a trip to hell/lake of fire where even Hades and death will go.

[SUP]“28 [/SUP]Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28)

[SUP]“14 [/SUP]Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. (Revelation 20:14)”

4. God is eternal , does not die, lives forever and exists beyond the infinity. Statement in
the bible :” God, who lives for ever and ever.” This demonstrates that the phrase “for ever and ever” means without end, eternal, infinite.

[SUP] “9 [/SUP]Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, ” (Revelation 4:9)

[SUP]“7 [/SUP]Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever.” (Revelation 15:7)

5.Hell/lake of fire is a place of eternal torture and punishment.

“41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” (Matthew 25:41)

Punishment that goes on forever:
"46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” "(Matthew 25:46)

Hell is a place of darkness reserved, not annihilation:
"13 They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever."(Jude 13)

Hell is banishment away from God's presence:
“9 They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might” (2 Thessalonians 1:9)
Hell is a place of great torment:
“50 and throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. “(Matthew 13:50)

Unquenchable fire and worms that do not die:
“43 If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out. “(Mark 9:43)
“48 where “‘the worms that eat them do not die, and the fire is not quenched.’ “(Mark 9:48)

As we can see hell is indeed a place of eternal torment and torture for those who are not saved. So again how can all loving God in his infinite wisdom, mercy punish his beloved children so infinitely severe for sins committed in a finite life?

Let's make another example :a man lives egyp in ancient time before there was a bible or jesus .During his life he makes s lot of bad things:kills, rapes, steals. He worships and prays to his god Ra .Let's say that at the late years of his life our man looks back and sees all the bad things he had done ,he feels bad an repents to his god Ra ,admits he did wrong and ask for forgiveness. How is this any different what christians do : sin and then repent to their God and ask for forgiveness. So our egyptian is doomed to hell just because he did not believe in the corect god.

Well first why would said person want to go to live in eternity with a God he doesn't believe in? Ra is a false god,so said person is actually following satan. If God is truly God and created us wouldn't he have the right to expect us to serve Him? Not much to ask. Life is full of choices and consequences, thats a fact. What you choose has an end result. Choose life or death, its in your hands.

Problem with the rainbow.
-->Dan58 : “It didn't rain on earth until the flood, so rainbows didn't exist until afterwards. "For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth" (Genesis 2:5)”.

You said: But this is wrong because if your read both verses 4 and 5 it says that no plant had yet sprung because it did not rain yet so this implies that plant couldn’t have grown without rain.

It was in the ground. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. This is not rain from the Sky. Dan58 made that clear

And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. Gen 2:5

The 24 hour time line.

And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day. Gen 1:11

72 hour difference between when the fruit needed to sustain Adam and Eve was made possible and the time he created them to work the ground and eat.

He did not say to them wait to it rains when Noah builds the Ark before you can eat .He prepared it for them beforehand.Just as he prepared our salvation beforehand.

If a man not work neither shall they eat as a law. It was established in the garden according to the creation.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Gen 1:27 (the same day he said eat.)

1 Corinthians 15:33
Don’t be deceived! “Evil companionships corrupt good morals.”
34*Wake up righteously, and don’t sin, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
35*But someone will say, “How are the dead raised?” and, “With what kind of body do they come?”
36*You foolish one, that which you yourself sow is not made alive unless it dies.
37*That which you sow, you don’t sow the body that will be, but a bare grain, maybe of wheat, or of some other kind.
38*But God gives it a body even as it pleased him, and to each seed a body of its own.
39*All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.
40*There are also celestial bodies, and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial differs from that of the terrestrial.
41*There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.
42*So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown perishable; it is raised imperishable.
43*It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power.
44*It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body and there is also a spiritual body.
45* So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” d The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
46*However that which is spiritual isn’t first, but that which is natural, then that which is spiritual.
47*The first man is of the earth, made of dust. The second man is the Lord from heaven.
48*As is the one made of dust, such are those who are also made of dust; and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49*As we have borne the image of those made of dust, let’se also bear the image of the heavenly.
50*Now I say this, brothers,f that flesh and blood can’t inherit the Kingdom of God; neither does the perishable inherit imperishable.
51* Behold,g I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,
52*in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last shofarh . For the shofari will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.
53*For this perishable body must become imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54*But when this perishable body will have become imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”j

16*God made the two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He also made the stars.
17*God set them in the expanse of sky to give light to the earth,

No.

The core (substance) of the creation is : "the Bodily Humans Who live eternally in the eternal earth, who also can bring glory to God " .
From this purpose then God begins to execute , the complements are needed too to reach that goal , they are angels and devils (devils are the rebels angels ).

Col1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him

2Pet2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment
( the judgement of these complements are useful for His people in order to be able to bring glory to Him ).

1Cor6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Maybe he wanted to spend an eternity with the true God of the bible , thats why he repented ,
a voice inside him told him he was quilty so he repented and ask for forgiveness .But because everyone around him believed in Ra as creator of the world he asked Ra for forgiveness.
So because he made a bad choice he will go to hell for eternity.

Quote "Maybe he wanted to spend an eternity with the true God of the bible

The Bible says "seek and you will find." There are missionaries that have told stories of going to the most remote places in the world and the villagers have greeted them and said they had dreams that someone would come and tell them more of a man named Jesus. The Bible says we are "without excuse". If you want to find the truth you will find it. God will not mislead anyone truly seeking Him.

-->kaylagrl :"The Bible says "seek and you will find." The Bible says we are "without excuse". If you want to find the truth you will find it. God will not mislead anyone truly seeking Him."

The fact that those missionaries told this story when they return doesn't make it a true story.

Let me give an example :
Gandhi dedicated his life to the wider purpose of discovering truth, or Satya.
Gandhi summarised his beliefs by saying "Truth(Satya) is God".
Gandhi about Jesus : "
It was more than I could believe that Jesus was the only incarnate son of God,and that only he who believed in Him would have everlasting life. If God couldhave sons, all of us were His sons. If Jesus was like God, or God Himself, thenall men were like God and could be God Himself. My reason was not ready tobelieve literally that Jesus by his death and by his blood redeemed the sins ofthe world. Metaphorically there might be some truth in it. Again, according toChristianity only human beings had souls, and not other living beings, for whomdeath meant complete extinction; while I held a contrary belief. I could acceptJesus as a martyr, an embodiment of sacrifice, and a divine teacher, but not asthe most perfect man ever born"
http://www.mkgandhi.org/ebks/whatjesusmeanstome.pdf

So if Gandhi( A man who teached about peace, non violence, tolerance ,love. A man who who tried and to some extent made the world a better place.) failed to believe and understand the story of the bible,of Jesus, a man who meditated, fasted extensively and dedicated all his life in search of the truth and God what chance do we have .
So this leads to the fact that because Gandhi failed he gets a eternal punishment of torment and torture.
Let's imagine a convicted felon on death row who has raped and killed many children, in the prison reads the bible gets remorseful
and asks God for forgiveness .Believes in and that he is saved trough Jesus so he is saved after death and goes to heaven.

How is this showing that God is all loving infinite in his wisdom, mercy and with a perfect justice ?

-->Chester : “John Morris in "How Did Noah Gather the Animals" : "The Flood story, however, is not merely natural, it involves the supernatural. The Creator was moving to preserve His creation. Might it not be appropriate to propose that, as the Flood was nearing, He instilled in a chosen pair of each "kind" a sense of impending doom and a desire to migrate to Noah and his Ark for preservation?

You are rather bold when you say, "Your are wrong" and then do not give evidence to explain why I am wrong! :)

I know - you think you are giving good evidence - but let me try to explain - You are using human reasoning to try to explain something that is clearly a supernatural event. There is no way to gather all of the animals and all of the food from different places from the Earth without the divine help of an Almighty God. I am not going to begin to try to prove that Noah could have done it himself - not possible!

Now what is a valid argument is if the Biblical text clearly says something that Noah did himself that is not possible. But look carefully at what the text says: vs. 19 "you are to bring into the ark . . ." - It doesn't say he went or had to go all over the Earth - If God brought them to Noah outside the ark's door, then Noah would still have brought those animals into the ark.

Verse 21 says, "Take of every kind of food . . . and store it in the ark . . ." The text does not say he had to go to China for bamboo, etc. The God who created all of the food would have had no problem bringing the food to Noah, or God could have made the bamboo grow right outside the ark's door. You may say that I am not playing fair - the text doesn't say that God did it that way! I agree! I am guessing! But neither does it say that He had to go to China for the bamboo. With what I believe, here is how I solve the dilemma: The text says he was to take enough food into the ark: He couldn't travel to all those locations as you point out: so because I serve a God of miracles, it is quite obvious God had to do miracles to help Noah complete the task.

You ask a rhetorical question that does not prove anything. (I have pointed out numerous times on this forum the folly of using a rhetorical question (without evidence) to prove a point?
"If the animals are coming alone because of God’s command, why did he precisely
told Noah the number of pairs , and what kind of animals to bring in the ark; what was the point if God was doing all the work ?"
To me it seems like if God was doing all the work it would make complete sense for him to tell Noah precisely what is going to be happening so that as Noah actually brings them onto the ark he sees precisely God is doing what he needs done. Your rhetorical question only makes sense if you begin with a worldview without an almighty powerful loving God who cannot be completely comprehended by mortal man. My worldview has an almighty powerful loving God.

After your rhetorical question you state: "This only proves that he indeed asked him to go and bring animals from every corner of the Earth" - but your conclusion goes beyond what the biblical text actually says and is based on the false presumptions you make in the rhetorical question.

The last question you ask that I quoted here (about why God did not at first specify the seven pairs of clean animals) I will have to leave for later (or for someone else to answer).

You ask good honest questions - look carefully and honestly at some of the good answers you are getting.

-->kaylagrl :"The Bible says "seek and you will find." There are missionaries that have told stories of going to the most remote places in the world and the villagers have greeted them and said they had dreams that someone would come and tell them more of a man named Jesus. The Bible says we are "without excuse". If you want to find the truth you will find it.

As I point out on a different post, rhetorical questions don't prove anything!

Your last question: I answer by saying - Yes, precisely right - it does show a "loving God of wisdom, mercy, and perfect justice!" - that God would save a person who failed all of their life but on their death bed believes in His Son - this shows that God is impartial to all mankind - every living person has the same opportunity! Salvation is not based on human effort, or birth! That Gandhi who was a famous person who did much "good" (I am not trying to argue this), but had doubts and perhaps did not believe goes to hell? He had the same opportunity as the convicted felon of death row! The gospel message is simple and clear! It is based on belief in Jesus Christ, not on the efforts and attempts of man to reach God! To me this shows clearly the love, wisdom and impartial justice of God!

(By the way, I am not trying to make a statement about the eternal destiny of Gandhi - I am simply repeating what you suggest. I have not studied this man's life and cannot make such a call - eternal destiny is in God's hands!)

I don't understand what you meant by this .
The intention of creation is physical creature who will bring glory to God , surely they live in the physical realm too, not spiritual being like angels.
And angels and devils are merely complements , where they are created for our sake ( to reach the goal as God wants /bring glory to Him).

If God can reach His Goal by giving the bodies to the faithful angels then places them in the NHNE, of course this simpler effort He will choose than the complicated one ( through the zero state spiritual beings then being moved to the perishable world like Adam cs ), but the outcome will never match to His plan , the outcome as same as "option no 2 " in the post # 63 above ----> can't glorify Him.

How can we know that angels and devils are merely complements ?.
The scriptures below explain it.

Col1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

2Pet2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

2Pet2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:.
bolded indicates punishment to the devils can be done far before the creation of the world, but for our sake ( the greater things ) they are reserved to the final judgement.

1Cor6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
In the day of the devil's judgement, we are all his churches will be invited to be the witnesses for the respective cases related to the respective devils , in this event we are said as judging the devils.

:smoke: not all those who went to seek the truth
were the same especially if
they were not a believer of the true god who is good and doesnt lie

Luke 24:22
Some of the women from our group startled us. They went to the tomb early this morning
23*and didn't find his body. They told us that they had seen angels who said that he's alive.
24*Some of our men went to the tomb and found it empty, as the women had said, but they didn't see him."
25*Then Jesus said to them, "How foolish you are! You're so slow to believe everything the prophets said!
26*Didn't the Messiah have to suffer these things and enter into his glory?"
~;> AND REMEMBER THIS ARE NOT OUR WORDS
BUT THE WORDS OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST
THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD
SO LETS CONTINUE TO
:read:
27*Then he began with Moses' Teachings and the Prophets to explain to them what was said about him throughout the Scriptures.
28*When they came near the village where they were going, Jesus acted as if he were going farther.
29*They urged him, "Stay with us! It's getting late, and the day is almost over." So he went to stay with them.
30*While he was at the table with them, he took bread and blessed it. He broke the bread and gave it to them.
31*Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. But he vanished from their sight.

:8) perhaps if someone here experienced something like seeing someone vanishing where he/she stand then after telling it to the peple and no one believes in him/her maybe he/she would go crazy because of that ... .

 but nevermind that for everyone has its own story to tell and about those unbelievers
:read: John 20:25
The other disciples told him, "We've seen the Lord." Thomas told them, "I refuse to believe this unless I see the nail marks in his hands, put my fingers into them, and put my hand into his side."
26*A week later Jesus' disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them. Even though the doors were locked, Jesus stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!"
27*Then Jesus said to Thomas, "Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Take your hand, and put it into my side. Stop doubting, and believe."
28*Thomas responded to Jesus, "My Lord and my God!"
29*Jesus said to Thomas, "You believe because you've seen me. Blessed are those who haven't seen me but believe."

 isnt it amazing how the body of our lord jesus christ is real for he said Ghosts don't have flesh and bones, but you can see that I do."
and we believe them for they told us this story before we even
learn how to read and how to write from the heart and from the soul

I am jumping into the middle of a discussion here that I am not completely sure what is happening, so I may be wrong in my evaluation, but I will point out what I saw:

You (alexxcjRO) said:

"Let’s state some facts that are considered true in the bible about the attributes of God :

If they knew the future they would get it right by the first try, therefore eliminate all the possible future bad tries"

Here, as pointed out in several other places, you use a misleading rhetorical question to try to make a point. I don't agree with the rhetorical question. You ask: "So why wouldn't he choose to forget about the angels and only make mortal humans instead?" You word the question so the intended response is something like - "Oh of course no sane person or a "smart" God would make or deal with angels if there is something (humans) that can give more glory". As a sovereign merciful all-knowing God he may have reasons for making angels far beyond what your or my finite knowledge can even closely comprehend. How dare a finite human presume to use a rhetorical question to try to tell an omniscient God what makes the most sense for him to do?

Illustration: Eating corn flakes for breakfast is something that is OK for me, but eating Puffed Rice makes me happier. "So why wouldn't I forget about the Corn Flakes and eat Puffed Rice instead? Why there may be all kinds of different reasons why I might still choose Corn Flakes! (I know this is a rather simplistic illustration :) )

--Chester :"You are rather bold when you say, "Your are wrong" and then do not give evidence to explain why I am wrong!
I know - you think you are giving good evidence "

Common man you are accusing me of something that all of you are doing. Making assumptions without evidence that it says in the bible.
You start from the premise that the bible is true and make assumptions and use your imagination to fill in the gaps so that it fits your truth.
Let's see all the assumptions :
-because there cannot be light without the sun you assume that God was the sun that illuminated the universe.(in the bible it does not says the radiated God's l)
-because there cannot be an evening - morning cycle without a sun you assume God must have switch on and of the light emanated from him.
-because a kangaroo or a koala can't go to Asia because of the Indian Ocean you assume God teleported it across.
-because Noah couldn't have gone thousands of miles to get food for every animal in just few days you assume God must have teleported it near the ark.
-because lifespan of flies is only up to 30 days you assume God must have prolonged it's life so the flies can survive the 150 days on the ark.
-because stenoaline fish cannot tolerate changes in salinity of the water you assume God must have change their physiognomy.
-because we have living trees older then 5000 BC you assume God must have protected them.

I started from the premise that the bible is nor true or false, that the attributes of god are nor true or false, that the statement : "morality of God is more superior then mine and i can't understand it" is nor true or false . Analyze the facts and concepts in the bible with science, logic and my morality and see if it leads me to the the conclusion that the bible is true.
In these situation are every one of you regarding the other religions.
So how would analyze and decided that these other religion are true or not without the bible ,just by yourself?

The conclusion is that the bible is a collection of fantastic, supranatural tales, that has no common ground with our science, our universe laws of physics and our reality. A universe so different from ours it seems out of these world. A place where God talks directly to people and helps then conquer cities, kill their enemies, give them food out of thin air ; a place where you see fantastic things and clear proofs of God: talking burning bush, rivers that turn into blood, sticks that turn into snakes, people that turn into salt, seas that depart, teleportation, angels that walk visible among people and talk to them, people that are fireproof, people strong like the mythical figure Hercules, giants 9feet tall and so on.
Why has God decided not do these anymore and hide from us ? Wouldn't many more people believe in God if they saw these things happen ?

--Chester :
"To me it seems like if God was doing all the work it would make complete sense for him to tell Noah precisely what is going to be happening so that as Noah actually brings them onto the ark he sees precisely God is doing what he needs done.

I can say also :
To me it seems like if God was doing all the work it would make complete sense for him to tel Noah just that the animals are on the way and to be ready when they arrive ; or why go to all this hassle just teleport all the animals and Noah to someplace else till after the flood ; or just kill all the corrupt and violent people by just saying the words.

If a finite human can't presume to say how should or would God act, behave ; you by being like me a finite human how can you say how should or would God act?
