Like how 2 Peter 3:10 and 1 Thess. 4:15-5:3 happened on two different days?
"Truth" can be such a harsh word sometimes.
I will have you know that those who are the children of light actually understand those passages.
And those who are in darkness do not......

1Th 5:5
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Unfortunately, that's impossible, because the scriptures were written totally around a certain nation and people for which is was originally intended before the Gentile nations and people were included into it.

Sorry!

And that is Israel, especially the tribe of Joseph whom the birthright was given, you see that tiny country in the middle east of being all the tribes of Israel that are now all called Jews. This is not biblical.

1 Chronicles 5:2 For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph's:)

So, you're going to keep talking in circles as a means to show that the Bible can't prove anything and that you don't have an opinion on the matter? Does that mean that we shouldn't speculate on what it means by piecing the scriptures together like they should be? That's not a very encouraging reason for studying the Bible, now is it? In fact, I think you're suggesting that people shouldn't because it will lead them to no conclusions at all.

--
Yup. The wise have the been bequeathed with the Jewish aka near east mindset whereby the whole council of God can be synthesized and rightly understood.

The long and short of it: despise the Jews, blindness is inevitable.

How did scripture "correct" you? Care to give an example?

---
I have posted many examples, do I really need to keep repeating myself for you to just stick your fingers in your ears ? Because we both know whatever I post in response to this ask will go unconsidered and rejected by you.

Israel has most definitely replaced Christ in these last days. So yes, replacement theology would seem to be alive and well.

So the fulfillment of becoming a state, a focus, defending itself against all odds. Being prosperous, and much more is replacing Jesus?
I look at it as the word of God becoming a more surer word. In fact because of this and more I am looking up because redemption is near.
You backing the wrong horse guy.

Notice that this verse identifies two distinct privileges.
  • Joseph received the birthright.
  • Judah prevailed among his brothers, and the chief ruler came from Judah.
The verse does not say Joseph's descendants alone constitute Israel, nor does it say that Judah's descendants ceased to be Israel.

To understand the verse, we must examine what the birthright meant and how God distributed the promises associated with it.

A. Joseph received the birthright through his sons.

In Genesis 48, Jacob adopted Joseph's two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, as his own sons for purposes of inheritance.

Genesis 48:5 (KJV):
And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.

This was significant because Reuben was Jacob's firstborn son, but he forfeited his birthright.

1 Chronicles 5:1–2 (KJV):
Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.

For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph's:

The birthright passed to Joseph's descendants, with Ephraim and Manasseh each receiving an inheritance among the tribes of Israel.

See also Genesis 48:13–20.

B. Judah received the royal promise.

Joseph's birthright did not transfer Judah's royal promise to Joseph.

Genesis 49:10 (KJV):
"The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be."

Jacob's prophecy identifies Judah with the scepter, a symbol of kingship.

The royal line continued through Judah, culminating in King David and, according to the New Testament, Jesus Christ.

Consider these passages:
  • 2 Samuel 7:12–16: God promises David an enduring royal house.
  • Psalm 89:3–4: God speaks of His covenant with David and the establishment of his seed.
  • Matthew 1:1–16: Jesus' genealogy traces His descent through David.
  • Revelation 5:5: Jesus is identified as the Lion of the tribe of Judah.
Therefore, the Bible distinguishes Joseph's birthright from Judah's royal position without excluding either tribe from Israel.

The key point:
Joseph's birthright did not make Judah any less a tribe of Israel, and Judah's royal promise did not make Joseph any less a tribe of Israel.

2. The Bible identifies twelve tribes, not one tribe that replaces all the others.

The next error is the assumption that if the Jewish people are associated particularly with Judah, they cannot also be associated with the larger biblical identity of Israel.

But Scripture repeatedly uses Israel to describe the collective descendants of Jacob, whose name God changed to Israel.

An important distinction:

The Bible uses the name Israel in more than one way, depending on the context:
  1. Jacob personally: God renamed Jacob Israel.
  2. The descendants of Jacob collectively: The twelve tribes constitute Israel.
  3. The northern kingdom: After the kingdom divided, Israel often referred specifically to the northern kingdom.
  4. The reunited people: Prophetic passages sometimes use Israel and Judah to distinguish the two kingdoms while anticipating their restoration.
The meaning must be determined from the passage in question.

It is therefore incorrect to assume that every biblical occurrence of Israel refers exclusively to the northern kingdom, or that every reference to Judah excludes the broader identity of Israel.

4. The Bible itself shows that people from multiple tribes became associated with Judah.

If the claim is that the Jewish people are not biblical Israel because the name Jew is associated with Judah, several biblical passages directly challenge that reasoning.

A. People from other tribes joined Judah.

Consider 2 Chronicles 11:13–17, which describes priests, Levites, and people from throughout Israel coming to Judah.

This is important because the southern kingdom was not simply an isolated collection of Judah's biological descendants.

People from the northern territories joined the southern kingdom, particularly those who wanted to continue worshipping the LORD according to His covenant.

The political identity of Judah could therefore include Israelites from other tribal backgrounds.

Remember what we spoke about before concerning how some of the prophecies are written?

Let me explain this one to you:

The misinterpretation lies in treating the Day of the Lord as a single, instantaneous event that must occur on one "day," rather than recognizing it as a multi-stage period of judgment that unfolds over a long timeframe. Biblical prophecy often uses a "prophetic normal day" principle, where a single prophetic "day" can represent a long era, allowing events like the Second Coming and the final judgment to span different periods rather than happening simultaneously.

Key aspects of this misinterpretation include:

  • Conflating Distinct Phases: 2 Peter 3:10 describes the sudden, unexpected arrival of the Day of the Lord "like a thief," while 1 Thessalonians 4:15-5:3 details a sequence involving the rapture, tribulation, and final judgment. Treating these as one event ignores the textual distinction between the sudden onset and the subsequent unfolding of judgment.
  • Ignoring the "Gap" in Prophecy: Many scholars note that Old Testament prophets often blended distant future events into a single picture without indicating the time gap between them. Misinterpreters fail to account for this "prophetic gap," assuming that because both passages refer to the "Day of the Lord," they must describe the exact same moment in time.
  • Literal vs. Figurative Timing: Some interpretations rigidly equate a prophetic "day" with a 24-hour period, leading to confusion when scriptures describe events that clearly span longer durations (e.g., the "day" of the Lord including both the thief-like arrival and the later destruction). This literalism forces a timeline that contradicts the broader biblical narrative of a prolonged eschatological period.

Can you keep explaining that a bit more please?

Let's too compare the noise of the great trumpet that sounds at Jesus' return versus the great noise that brings about the destruction in 2 Peter 3:10...

The two sounds differ in nature, purpose, and Greek vocabulary:

"The trumpet of God" (1 Thessalonians 4:16) — The Greek is σάλπιγξ (salpinx), a musical instrument. This is a defined, musical, intentional sound — a summons or call. It functions as a signal of Christ's descent to gather believers and raise the dead in Christ, analogous to a king's trumpet calling his people to assembly.

"A great noise" (2 Peter 3:10) — The Greek is ῥοιζηδόν (roizēdon), a hapax legomenon (occurring only once in the NT). The root noun ῥοῖζος describes a roaring, rushing, destructive sound — specifically the whizzing of arrows, the rush of wings, the roar of mighty winds or waters, or the crash of a devouring flame. This is not a musical or melodic sound at all; it is the tumultuous, violent noise of the heavens being torn apart and the elements melting in fire.

--

One was a trumpet, the other was a trombone.

Can you keep explaining that a bit more please?

You need for me to explain to you again (along with cv5's comments to you) about what the "day of the Lord" means or how many times it's used throughout the entire Bible?

Here it is:

The phrase "the Day of the Lord" appears 26 times in the Old Testament and 5 times in the New Testament, totaling 31 occurrences in the King James Bible. It is also referenced through similar phrases like "that day" (208 times) or "day of Christ" (distinct from the Day of the Lord).

To distinguish its meanings, consider these key differences:
  • Historical vs. Eschatological: In the Old Testament, it often refers to historical judgments already fulfilled (e.g., the fall of Babylon in Isaiah 13 or the grasshopper plague in Joel 1), while other passages point to future end-time events during the Great Tribulation or the final judgment.
  • Judgment vs. Reward: The "Day of the Lord" is primarily a time of wrath, darkness, and judgment for the wicked and unbelievers. In contrast, the "Day of Christ" (or "Day of our Lord Jesus Christ"), used frequently by Paul, refers to a time of blessing, reward, and reunion for believers.
  • Scope and Duration: While often described as a singular "day," it can represent an extended period of God’s intervention, such as the seven-year Tribulation or the final conflagration at the end of the Millennium.
  • New Testament Specifics: In the New Testament, "the Lord’s Day" in Revelation 1:10 is distinct, potentially referring to a visionary glimpse into the eschatological events, while "the Day of the Lord" in 1 Thessalonians 5:2 and 2 Peter 3:10 emphasizes sudden judgment and the destruction of the earth, but not necessarily at the same time or as a same event.

I'm not the one hating on God's original covenant people that the Bible shows God/Jesus having mercy on at a later date. If my words sound mean to other individuals in this conversation, it's because THAT is exactly what is being dished out to me first for believing in God's promises and words.

Sure, and why not explain the entire Bible into the future while you are about it.
Don't worry about any history, only heretics think of that.
Just keep declaring victory and repeating yourself.
These blockheads can't understand unless you do that.

Can you keep explaining that a bit more please?
You didn't care to learn the first 10 times.
So why should we waste ink on the next 10 times?

Denying all prophecy is your doctrine.
Warn nobody is your doctrine.
Prepare for nothing is your doctrine.

And many others on this thread as well.
So don't blame us when the fulfillments of the warnings come crashing down on you and your crew
like a thousand of brick had fallen upon you.

For the last time, you have to look at the history of events to see how and why they will play out again in the future on a much larger scale, like the Bible shows.

If Jesus had already fulfilled every prophecy purely by His death on the cross, we would NOT still be here and He wouldn't have told you that He still needs to fulfill EVERYTHING that was WRITTEN about Him in the Old Testament like Luke 24:44 says.

Luke 24:44

44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Now ask yourself where did those tribes besides Judah, Benjamin and some Levites go to ?

And when a new marriage contract came into being with the house of Israel and the house of Judah - as stated in Hebrews and Jeremiah, what the new name they were given ?

Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people (Gentiles), there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.
Hosea 1:10

Notice it says also about the numbers of them being as the sands of the sea. Does not sound like that little nation in the middle East does it.

And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
Acts 11:26

Read Galatians

Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

It was Israel that had been under the law
The Northern tribes had been divorced and taken into Assyrian captivity, they lost the name Israel as we read in Hosea

It was Israel that was divorsed and needed to be redeemed.

Whereas Judah (at least the ones that did not believe) retained their name, it was left to them as a curse and a taunt, Jeremiah 24:9:

And I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them.
Jeremiah 24:9

And in Isaiah 65:15, we have:

And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord God shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:
Isaiah 65:15

In Mark 11, Jesus curses the fig tree, which was emblematic of the Judah nation. In verse 14, Jesus says, "No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever"

Mark 11:14

And in verse 21:

Mark 11:21

That was a prophecy of what was to happen to the Judah Nation, in the events leading up to the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.

Luke 13:7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

Romans 9 verse 4, tells us that the promises made to Israel are still in force.

Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
Romans 9:4

Therefore, we must look for the Israelites among the Christians. These prophecies and promises to Israel have been fulfilled by the Anglo-Saxon and Scandinavian countries, therefore, the people to whom they were fulfilled are identified as Israel.

Romans 11 vere 25 tells us that Israel was to be blind to its idenity

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Romans 11:25

Whereas the Jews are not blind to their identity as Jews, although they try to fool people into believing they are Israel.
