“Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God:

but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭9:6-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:27-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

flesh and blood doesn’t make anyone an Israelite accepting Jesus Christ makes one a child of Abraham and hiers of the promise made to Abraham the father of many nations in Christ
This is entirely overlooked when discussing “Israel” in the Scriptures. The ones Paul described as “the Israel of God” (Gal 6:16) were from both Jewish and Gentile origin.

Even John the Baptist said to the Jewish leaders of his day ….

“But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for baptism, he said to them, “You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Therefore bear fruit in keeping with repentance; and do not suppose that you can say to yourselves,‘We have Abraham for our father’; for I say to you that from these stones God is able to raise up children to Abraham.
The axe is already laid at the root of the trees;therefore every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.“ (Matt 3:7-10)

Genetic relationship to Abraham was not the most important thing…. if God could easily ‘raise up children to Abraham from the stones’, then he could easily replace an unworthy Israel with a more worthy ‘spiritual Israel’ as Rom 9:6-8 reveals. Having received the foretold “remnant “ of natural Israel into a new fold, (Rom 9:27) God then turned to the nations to “take out of them a people for his name”. (Acts 15:14)
His name as recorded in Scripture is YHWH (Yahweh or Jehovah in English) A name that to this day, Israel refuses to utter. (Psalm 83:18; Exodus 3:15) God’s name is not “The Lord”…that is his title, but he is the one who revealed his unique name. God’s people were associated with his name and forbidden to take it in vain…to be uttered with the most reverence, as the Bible writers did in ancient times.

As a fleshly nation, Israel always proved to be unfaithful…. Ri bing reproach on the name of their God….so when God’s purpose was completed in them (producing the Messiah), God abandoned them to the nations and chose a new “Israel”…one founded on the teachings of the Messiah, and who would “prove faithful unto death”.

Those who cling to natural Israel because of God’s promises to them, fail to discern that he has no use for those who cannot, or will not obey him. “The children of the promise are counted as the seed”….
There is the replacement….and logically so.
Only those who follow Jesus as the Christ and acknowledge him as Messiah, will inherit the promises…..(Matt 23:37-39) but there is no impediment to any among the natural Jews from accepting Jesus and becoming Christians……all of the first Christians were Jewish….including Jesus himself.

The only earthly land promise in your supporting scriptures is Genesis 15:8.
It came with conditions.

Nope!! Untrue. That's why we keep doing these circles. Because you don't know the Word. It was unconditional.

These conditions were not met, so the land promise, together with the Mosaic law was disannulled (Hebrews 7:18), i.e. made void.

Not true. Romans 11 proves it easily to anyone who reads it without bias.

Nope. The abuse of those passages are standard RT trope and yet another biblically illiterate failing.

[Gal 6:15-16 KJV]
15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision (Jews) availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision (gentiles), but a new creature.

16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace [be] on them (gentiles), and mercy, and upon the Israel of God (Jews).

Paul NEVER elsewhere uses "Israel" to refer to Gentile believers. Out of the 73 occurrences of the word Israel in the New Testament, every single other usage refers specifically to ethnic/national Israel or a subset of ethnic Israelites (e.g., believing Israel).

The physical line through Isaac and Jacob is the primary channel through which God's covenant flows — the spiritual application to believers is an extension of that same covenant, not a replacement. Here are the key verses proving ethnic Israel is included:

The Covenant Is Explicitly Passed Through Physical Lineage
  • Genesis 21:12 — "In Isaac shall your seed be called." God designates the physical line through Isaac as the covenant channel.
  • Genesis 17:19-21 — "I will establish my covenant with him [Isaac] as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him."
  • Genesis 26:3-4 — God speaks directly to Isaac: "To you and to your offspring I will give all these lands... I will make your offspring multiply as the stars of heaven."
  • Genesis 28:13-14 — God speaks to Jacob: "The land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants... in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed."
  • Genesis 35:11-12 — "A nation and a company of nations shall come from you, and kings shall come from your own body. The land which I gave to Abraham and Isaac, to you I will give it, and to your seed after you I will give the land."
The Promise Is Repeated for Generations of Physical Descendants
  • Exodus 33:1 — "The land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, 'To your descendants I will give it.'"
  • Deuteronomy 1:8 — "The land that the LORD swore He would give to your fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and to their descendants after them."
  • 1 Chronicles 16:15-16 — "Remember his covenant forever, the promise that he made for a thousand generations, the covenant that he made with Abraham, his oath to Isaac."
  • Psalm 105:6 — "O seed of Abraham His servant, you children of Jacob, His chosen ones!"

Can you please show me the unconditional part of the following passage:

Genesis 17:10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.
12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.
13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.

Jesus' role as the future Messiah to Israel is that of a conquering King and Deliverer who will return to rescue the believing Jewish remnant, judge the nations, and establish a millennial kingdom on earth. This second coming fulfills the prophetic hope that Israel will finally acknowledge Jesus as their Messiah after a period of tribulation, leading to their spiritual regeneration and national restoration.

In contrast, His role as God (the Divine Son of Man) is that of the sovereign Ruler and Judge who exercises absolute authority granted by the Father. As God, He is the eternal Priest and Lion of Judah who defeats evil, resurrects the dead, and reigns over all creation, fulfilling the cosmic dominion promised in Daniel and Revelation.

Scriptural Support
  • Rescue and Salvation of Israel: Jesus will return to rescue the Jewish remnant who call upon Him, fulfilling Romans 11:26 where "all Israel shall be saved" and the Deliverer comes from Zion.
  • Judgment of Nations: As the conquering King, He will strike the nations with a rod of iron and judge the earth, as described in Revelation 19:11–16 and Zechariah 14:4.
  • Regeneration of Israel: The surviving Jewish remnant will look upon Him with mourning and repentance, fulfilling Zechariah 12:10 ("they shall look upon me whom they have pierced").
  • Millennial Reign: He will establish a thousand-year earthly kingdom on David's throne, fulfilling Revelation 20:1–6 and Isaiah 9:6–7.
  • Divine Authority: As God, He receives eternal dominion and glory from the Ancient of Days, fulfilling Daniel 7:13–14 and Revelation 14:14.
  • Eternal Priesthood: He serves as the eternal priest after the order of Melchizedek, ruling with divine justice, fulfilling Psalm 110:4.
  • Light to the Nations: His messianic mission extends beyond Israel to bring justice and salvation to the Gentiles, fulfilling Isaiah 42:1–6.

Jesus' Roles That Will No Longer Be Needed in the Permanent State of the Heavenly Kingdom

  • Judge – All judgment is finished. The Great White Throne judgment (Revelation 20:11–15) is the final act. There is no one left to condemn or vindicate. "Then I saw a great white throne… and the dead were judged by what was written in the books" (Rev 20:12). With no sin, no rebellion, and no unrepentant soul, the judicial function has no further purpose.
  • Conqueror / Warrior King – The rod of iron, the sword from His mouth, and the war imagery of Revelation 19 describe a transitional victory. Once Satan, death, and every hostile power are destroyed, there is no enemy to defeat. "The last enemy to be destroyed is death" (1 Cor 15:26). With no enemy, the conquering role is complete.
  • Priest Who Offers Sacrifice – The one, final sacrifice of Calvary is eternally sufficient (Hebrews 10:10–14). In the new creation there is no sin to atone for, no altar, and no temple: "I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb" (Revelation 21:22). The mediatorial, intercessory priestly function tied to a fallen world has no further object.
  • Deliverer from Tribulation – The purpose of the Deliverer role (Romans 11:26) is to rescue Israel from their enemies and from sin. Once that rescue is accomplished and death itself is abolished, the role is fulfilled and set aside.
  • Mediator – Once all things are subjected and the Son delivers up the kingdom to the Father, the mediatorial office (1 Tim 2:5) is complete. There is no longer a need for a middleman between God and His people: "I saw no temple in the city" (Rev 21:22) — a temple exists to house a mediator; its absence signals that the mediation is finished.

Yes un less this is understood you eschatology goes out the windows. This leads up to the event of 70 ad.
The Apostles ask when Jesus will restore the kingdom while the temple still existed so what's up with that?
Jesus answers it's not for them to know the time But you don't restore something that is not in need of it.
Many here say it was the judgment of God abomination of desolation citing Jesus ...said he would take it and give to another.

Let's see what God said about the crucifixion.

Isa 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

I might be blind but do not see a abomination here.

Absolutely 💯.

When Jesus came, Israel was under Roman occupation, so the Disciples wanted to know when He would restore it back to the line of David. Israel wasn't given back to the people until 1948, but it still doesn't meet the boundary requirements that God/Jesus promised them, and won't until He returns.

While others consider the abomination of desolation happening when the 2nd temple was destroyed in 70 AD, it still didn't meet the full requirement that's outlined in the scripture, as that is saved for a future date when the Anti-Christ, Beast and False Prophet arrive on the scene.

Until then, the Lord prospers through the Gospel of the coming Kingdom and the work of His Holy Spirit until His return to earth.
