The Gentile church as we know it is grafted into the commonwealth of Israel, access to God is extended to us Gentiles through Jesus, by no means is that a replacement of the original Israel. Gentiles are specifically warned in Rom. 11:19-21 on this.

For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry, if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and save some of them. For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. There is, however, an important qualification I’d retain. Being grafted into the olive tree doesn’t necessarily establish that every Torah command applies identically to every grafted-in Gentile. Torah itself contains distinctions—priests versus non-priests, men versus women, native Israelites versus foreigners in certain circumstances, agricultural laws tied to the land, Temple regulations, and so forth. Acts 15 also becomes particularly important because the apostles were explicitly deciding what should initially be required of Gentiles turning to God. And the willful choosing to observe Sabbath is a covenant sign of which God you belong to or which God you honor.
