I do believe this is tied into John 21 where the Lord was making bread and fish on a fire. IMO it has to do with rewards and some things we think we get a reward for are burned up but rewards based on scripture. Thinking this is based on 6000 years and the 153 fish are generations.
The 7000 years of history theory was held by many people in ancient history. I have also noticed we are knocking on the door of the final 1000 years, which would be the sabbath of creation: the 1000 years of Revelation 20.
We are close, I am not dogmatic that the theory is correct because No man knoweth the day nor the hour, but we are in a very interesting season.

I believe that the total of fish caught in the net, 153, hold some significance. What it could be I don't know.

Hi, I'm also very interested in the Biblical timeline, so I spent many months creating one from Creation to Revelation. I placed the begetting ages in Genesis 5 & 11 into my spreadsheet to determine the date of creation forward. Most English OT translations of the Bible were translated from Greek to the modern Hebrew by the Masorete Jewish scribes from the 5th to the 10th century to create the Masoretic Text or MT. They intentionally changed the begetting ages causing the Bible timeline to be off by over 1250 years. This means that the creation event took place around 5554BC. So 5554BC plus 2025 makes the earth around 7579 years old. However, if you use the MT begetting ages, the age of the earth is around 6000 years old, which is why most westerners believe this. I was surprised to later find that Augustine of Hippo, a well-known theologian from the end of the 4th century, performed the same task and also came up with the exact same year for creation, 5554BC. I determined that he used the begetting ages in Gen 5 & 11 from the Septuagint (Greek translation of OT also called the LXX). Thus, I believe that the LXX is more reliable than the MT. When the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1946, they also were more in line with the LXX dates than the MT. Jesus and His disciples also used the LXX during His time on earth in the 1st century. This was such a shock to me when I learned all this a few years ago.

Yes! However, the Flood actually occurred between 3000-3600BC.
Also, the meaning of the names from Adam to Noah in Hebrew strung together, provide the Gospel message.
- Adam means "man"
- Seth means "appointed"
- Enosh means "mortal"
- Kenan means "sorrow"
- Mahalalel means "the Blessed God"
- Jared means "shall come down"
- Enoch means "teaching"
- Methuselah means "His death shall bring"
- Lamech means "the despairing"
- Noah means "rest".
String together is the Gospel message:
"Man was appointed moral sorrow (because Adam and Eve sinned). But the Blessed God (Jesus) shall come down (to earth) teaching that his death shall bring the despairing (sinners) rest (through salvation)." What an Amazing God we serve!

Oh my! You knew Chuck? I listened to him almost every day at work when I went for my walks. I agree with him 95%. Too bad he was a pre-tribber. He and I worked in the same field, software engineering, for the DoD, for many years, so we had that in common. He was a super smart guy!
The flood date is actually around 3000BC if you use the LXX begetting age dates in Gen 5 & 11 to determine the timeline, which I figured the creation date to be around 5554BC. They deliberately changed these ages to throw off the Biblical timeline by about 1250 years. I spent over two years creating a timeline chart based on the LXX begetting ages. Given all this research, I trust the LXX over the MT. Even the dead sea scrolls line up closer to the LXX than the MT.
