To anyone taking the time to read this, thank you.:)

I see a lot of posts on here of all sorts, but one theme common in most is a desire to share.

Sadly I notice how easy it is for self to get in the way of the guidance of our Lord when someone may not be on the same page as we are.

Sound doctrine is very important.
Our witness is also important.

It isn't just about sharing either, there are times the Lord may put someone younger and or less wise than you see yourself before you to teach you something important.

Listening is huge if we do not want to stagnate.

So in hopes to make a thread that is not just good for sharing, but also listening and useful practice for our ability to witness I'd like to ask a few questions.

1. What is something the Lord has shown you recently?

2. When is a time you remember being wrong in your understanding and changing to conform to the Lord?

3. What is something you think every child of God should know?

What is something you think every child of God should know?

I have recently come to see a distinction between the gospel of the kingdom for Israel and the gospel of grace for gentiles. I have found this approach to bible study very helpful. For example keeping the law is necessary for Israel, while under the gospel of grace, we are not under the law.

I can understand why many would like to see the entire New Testament as monolithic, but the two gospel lens is so much more helpful in considering what was said to whom and why.

2. When is a time you remember being wrong in your understanding and changing to conform to the Lord?
Precious friend, similar ( 36 years ago ) to @timf recenctly:

This has Certainly Dispelled all of the Confusion I had in 'religions' which I left behind.
3. What is something you think every child of God should know?
I try to humbly share with others:

And, precious friend(s), Please Be Very Richly Encouraged and Edified
In The Lord Jesus Christ and In His Precious Word Of Truth, Rightly
Divided:

The Bible: The BIG Picture

Amen.

Thank you very much for sharing and the warm welcome!😁

What is something the Lord has shown you recently?
God wants Born Again people to know and understand who we really are in Christ ----who's image do you see went you look into your Mirror ---your Old Dead Spiritual self or your New Alive Spiritual self ----and to know that Satan is after your Identity ---and you need to have your Faith Grounded and Rooted in Jesus to withstand Satan's attacks -----and hold steadfast to your identity in Christ -------

Satan attacked Jesus in the wilderness and attacked His identity trying to get Him to question who He was -----

Matthew 4:3
And the tempter came and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

When is a time you remember being wrong in your understanding and changing to conform to the Lord?
Until we understand that we need to rely on getting the Spiritual Rhema word from the Holy Spirit when reading Scripture we will not get the true Spiritual meaning behind the the Logos Word ----so just reading the Logos word and coming to our own intellectual understanding with give the wrong understanding -----we need to come to understand that relying on the Holy Spirit the right Spiritual understanding will be given to us ---

What is something you think every child of God should know?
How powerful Grace is -----Grace is not a thing ---Grace is a person ---Jesus Full of Grace and Truth ----Grace is part of God's Character ------

Grace ---Who is God offers strength, salvation, and transformation beyond human capability.

Grace works in us as a supernatural empowerment that gives us the ability to live godly lives

Grace's power is perfected in our weakness ---😇

Where in acts 15 is it a abomination?

Abomination is my judgment. Peter told the pharisees that they were tempting God by leading disciples away from Christ by telling them they had to keep the law (Acts 15:10). Paul said let them be accursed for proclaiming another gospel (Galatians 1:8-9). Peter said that neither they nor their fathers were able to bear the yoke of the law and that they were saved by grace just as the gentile disciples were (Acts 15:11). Grace and law are incompatible and it's an abomination to mix the two.

Does this mean we don't have to obey God anymore?

I am at the end of my journey. Made many errors along the way but wish to share one thing everyone should consider.

And that is the Day of the Lord.

Most of you and maybe all will disagree but the 7 year Tribulation begins the Day of the Lord.

What we call the Millenium of a thousand years begins at the beginning of Tribulation, not the end.

Just as the Apostle Barnabas said: when the 6000 years end the end will come.

And adding to the word of God is blasphemy. I don't think you understood what post 2 was saying.
Abomination your judgment? Really friend? This is the way to approach a disagreement...have you learned nothing from Acts 15?

So... Dude... Did you REALLY think this would turn out any other way? I mean honestly, was there any hope in your mind at all when you started this thread?

If there was, well... We can fix that. ;)
