Lord, have mercy on us - for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

Sex is very marriage only, that's clear. Easier said than done though :(.

Just because you can't loose your salvation doesn't mean you get a free Jesus pass to do whatever you want. Frankly, you're rejecting all the teachings of Christ when you say that (except the one where you dont go to hell- how convienient.) Being a Christian isn't just saying the right words out loud to avoid firey condemnation, it means having a relationship with God- and you can't if your additude is that way. You're just another selfish human being. Surprise, surprise.

I agree. Im tried of hearing and seeing Christians living life filled with sins and they don"t care that they are doing them. They think they dont have to live by Gods word. I said what i said in the posts to point out that its silly many christians believe that. They'll be at church on sundays and then at the bar Friday and Saturday nights partying and dancing in sexual ways. Its sickening. I'm glad you got it right and dont do that stuff.

Take Care and God Bless

David, i have noticed your increasing posts, on many threads. Your sarcasim is not needed.
I belive that a person, who is truely saved, that commits suicide, can and will go to heven.
Now, as we are discussing it here, i will just reply to ur pm here...if thats okaii.

A true Christian, will NEVER walk away from God, a true, born again christian, is BORN AGAIN! and will never return to the way they once were.
A 'Christian' who claims to be saved, but isnt really...might or probabley will turn from God.

Now in your pm...

You ask why then, why pray and read the bible etc etc...if you cant lose your salvation?

My answer:
A true born again beliver will WANT to pray and WANT to read the bible...
Once a person realises that our Lord God, my Father, send his only begotten Son to die for us... one a person relaises that Jesus Christ , my saviour, died for us..they would never ever turn away from the Lord, their eyes would become open...
People, whos eyes are open, want to see everything...just like we want to do everything for our saviour, we want to have a relationship with him...and we want to be close to him.

you also ask in your pm - why not murder..theive...kill babies if you cant lose your salvation?

my answer is simple:
As a Christian, you try and resist temptation..you try your best not to sin.
As a Christian, you know it is wrong to murder...theive...kill babies...
even a non-christian person knows that!

Your questions are just silly - i dont get whats got into you , to be honest!

I do, however - belive that it is wrong to commit suicide...
but i also belive that no sane human, will want to end their lives...its basic human instinct - survival!
only people with mental problems or illnesses really want to end heir lives...

.. :D ..
Thank you for responding to my message. I know those are silly questions but thats the stuff i hear from many christians today, expecially the younger ones. I hate hearing people claim to be christians and commit evil. I agree that my sarcasium wasnt needed, but im tired of people not standing up for values and the Bible theses days and im tired of people using "once saved always saved" to justify their sins.

take care and God bless

I have never personally met a person who uses OSAS to justify their sin. They must be in quite a minority. Actually, it is locally absurd.

Faith4life. I agree with you that you can lose your salvation, but you can't shove it down people's throats. Make a thread on it, and debate about it there, don't take over 10 different threads trying to prove your point.

in the words of 50 cent, wanna have a baby by me and be a millionare

I'm not saying you're 100% wrong on this, but I do have a question about it. What's your view about believers who are saved, but have a difficult time with the Bible because it was used against them for so long? I was raised in a very strict "turn or burn" environment, and I had nightmares of hell as a child. In part, these have served as catalysts for my current situation. I have a deep love and desire for God in my heart, but reading my Bible often feels like a chore, and a stressful one at that. I've had problems separating the Scriptures themselves from the idiotic, hateful, condemning opinions I was raised around. Also, some parts of the Bible just tick me off at times (Job being a prime example). So, what's your take on all of that?

As for the "premarital sex" issue, I agree that it is wrong for any man and woman to engage in any direct sexual union before they are married. Kissing, hand-holding, and other such expressions are fine, but groping (clothed or not) and anything beyond it is off-limits until the honeymoon.

I understand what it is your saying and i tottally get it. I also, used to have nightmares about Hell. One or Two years ago, it was often the last thing i would think about before drifitng of.

However, some Born Agian Belivers dont think that reading the bible is their thing - if you get what i mean.
My second eldest brother, just hates reading full stop! i mean he got an A higher, for english and a few other subjects, its not thats hes 2 stupid to understand or anything.
And the same goes with my dad...neither of them like to read..so they dont read the bible often...but they are always praying, and they have a VERY close relationship with Our Father.
They read other things like 'Gods Grace' a book , which has certain scriptures..and then discusses them
or books like 'What The Bible Teaches'

On the other hand though, myself and my mother are avid readers...and have both read the bible, from front to back.

Hope i have answered your question..and didnt drag it on...
I am sorry if i havent answered your quesition
God Bless

May I add a twist to this discussion? Two chirstians , both devoriced, dateing for the first time in three years. Kiss or no kiss before marriage? And then if so where do we draw the line. If we know we will be married would it still be adultray? I do hope there are some 40ish people out there with some ansewrs.

okaii - what you want to add in is why both, individual parties, are divorced...
if we dont know that we cant tell you whether you would be commiting adultery or not

Kiss or no kiss before marriage?

i would say , again, we would need to know why each of you divorced. Because, you may already know this, if a person divorces just coz they arnt happy, and they get in a reliationship and have sexual intercourse they would be commiting adultery - a kiss may lead to this.
If a person divorces because of adultery, the innocent party is allowed remarry.
So if you divorced because you were the innocent then i see no wrong in kissing, and you would be allowed to remarry.
Hoewver, if you werent an guilty party or have divorced for no any reason(excluding death or adultry) i wouldnt kiss, because you will end uo getting attached and want to have sex or get remarried.

And then if so where do we draw the line. If we know we will be married would it still be adultray? I do hope there are some 40ish people out there with some ansewrs.

i am sorry i am not 40ish lol.
you can only remarry, according to scriptures, if you are the innocent party in adultery, or if your wife/husband dies.
So if you marry again out with these reasons it is adultery.

Sorry if i have repeted a few things... :\ but i hope i have helped, sorry if not.

Kat, thanks for the reply. Both of our marriages where broken from the other parties unfaithfulness. I've been devorcied four years with no dating(by choice) God told me to be still in my walk and he'd supply the Angel, and he did. She will be devorced in two months but seperated 1year. Her ex was the preacher at my chruch and had an affair which is still going on. Because of the time til devorce we have only had walks and talks and know that it's really serious. She teaches SS and I lead the singing so again because of it all we've been very quit about our feelings.

Now being married before it is going to be hard to date without crossing lines, and we both already have voiced that concern. But I am just hoping that others here can relate or give me some ideas other than run to the Chapel, we want to let the Lord guild us and look to him in each step.
