I see nothing wrong with a kiss IF you can keep it at that. If you don't trust yourself than why mess around with that? Now as for sex even if you are going to be married, it is still fornicating and the bible talks strongly against fornicators.

I believe sex before marriage is wrong, but sadly it happens a lot. I guess I can't talk much I'm not married yet so I have not yet totally escaped it. I hope I do though.

Lynn, Thanks for the reply. Once I get the anwsers started flowing I'm really going to get deep. But my question is , Two christians dateing(40ish) both devoriced after long marriages. Both loveing the total exsistance of the other, kiss or no kiss before marriage. And yes the concern of limits already have been discussed. and too isn't the act what unites the two in marriage, in God's eyes?

Sex before marriage isn't worth it. Trust me been there done that having a baby and we did it just ONCE. I wish I would have waited even though we are getting married it would make things so much less complicated.

As i think about this question. I believe that if you give a engagement ring to the woman that you plan to marry then i believe that having sex is okay. When God brought Eve to Adam was there a wedding License? The marriage license and the whole thing is what man requires, not what God requires. There is nothing wrong with waiting until the have the paper, but a paper shouldn't tell people that their married. Its a bond between two peoples hearts and minds, it has nothing to do with having a peace of paper telling a person that they are now married because the paper says they are!!!

Ideally, I'd like to wait. I'm willing if I fully trust my partner. There are plenty of marriages which fall apart because the couples are sexually incompatible. A lot of people don't think it's a legitimate concern but any issues in the bedroom which cannot be solved through counseling will cause strain on the relationship. Some can manage but few people are strong enough to stay married to someone with whom they cannot bond physically. My basic point is that it's not my place to judge what people feel is best for them. If they fall off course, God will be there to guide them back when they are ready
p.s. I hope people don't think I'm making an excuse to sleep around until you find someone who is a good time. I'm simply stating why sometimes what is ideal doesn't work out for everyone

Fornicators are people who have sex before they are married.
It is not just people who have no regard for love. Thats just pure stupid.
My big brother and his girlfriend have been dating for about 2 and a half years now, they can not and will not have sex before they are married. They are in love, but if they were to have sex before they were married, then they would become fornicators.

Marriage was not something man made. God ordained marriage, it should handled very carefully. It is one man and one woman for life. If you are a man, and you just had sex with a woman before you two are married, you just stole her purity from her future husband. When you are married your body is not your own, and when you have premarital sex you are stealing from your future spouse. Marriage, before the Fall, was perfect. It is not any more. Now there are hardships added on, it's not a 50-50 relationship anymore. If like Adam fell in perfection, how much so have we fallen in your abomination?
The reason that it is a bad idea is because its a intimacy level that only two people joined by God should experience. God does not frown on sexual activity, however, he did not intend for it to be something between two people that are outside of marriage. It is a beautiful thing that should be shared between HUSBAND AND WIFE. As hard as it is now to avoid sexual activity, it is still the best option.
