I think that you can not have Sex before marriage, the bible is so clear, at least that you have done before being a Christian, getting marraige it`s special, if not what is meaning of getting marriage.

God Bless you so much.

Sex before marriage is FORNICATION. If one of the partners is married it is ADULTERY. Fornication and Adultery are SINS.

A lot of the words of guidance in the Bible provide just that, words of wisdom. God knows and sees a lot more than we can ever know and see and therefore understands the consequences of our actions far more than we can at any given moment or for our future. Will we lose salvation? No. But what are the other consequences to having sex before marriage? Are you ready for those? There are far too many to list here........ God gives you the choice. It is up to you to choose wisely within that freedom. If not, prepare yourself for the life of a fool and the consequences of such a life.

Brothers and sisters,
I encourage all of you to stay strong in your faith, concerning your celibacy until marriage -- including your fight against masturbation. As a young Christian man -- 22 -- I am going through this right now. But it isn't so arduous as it once was. I think the 'hardship of surrender' is in part at times a fallacy created by the enemy.
We have been created and shaped for total surrender to the One who carried a Cross and died on it.
These past couple nights I've been really tempted to masturbate to porn, but I have overcome through Jesus. I realize that when I fill my daily 'normal' life with Christ, then when the hour of temptation comes, no matter how consuming, I am not overpowered; I rise and laugh and praise God because Christ is living IN me.

I would admonish kindly and out of love those of you who believe that because we are saved, we can get away with sin, including fornication. I admonish you, because Jesus Christ through Paul has admonished me:
Romans 6:1-5, "What shall we say then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Chrst Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ as raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."

If anyone encourages you Christians to fornicate, remember the words of John:
1st John 3:7-9, "Dear children do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God."

There are so many replies to this thread, and I don't want to read them all, but there's nothing wrong with sex before marriage. First of all, fornication is mentioned only a few times in the Bible, by Paul. Jesus didn't seem to think it was important enough to talk about. When Paul says fornication, he is using the Greek word "Pornea" which does not mean pre-marital sex. It means sexual immorality. Not only that, but when he used that word, he was writing to people that were having sex with priestesses in other religion's temples. So it was about being involved with other religions, not sex itself. Also, back in those days people got married at like 13. So I don't think they had problems with kids running around having sex.

I didn't even need to look at your profile to know that you weren't christian.

It's rude people like you that is part of what's turning me off to Christianity while I'm coming here to discuss, learn, and ask my questions about Christianity. I'm assuming if Jesus saw my post and disagreed he would be friendly and actually address what I said, instead of leaving some unnecessary passive-aggressive comment like you did. That's who you're supposed to be trying to be like as a Christian, yeah? As far as I can tell, what I wrote seems reconcilable with Christianity, because what I suggested is based off of the original language of a section of the Bible and the cultural context in which it was written. Perhaps the points I made were completely wrong? If anyone could explain to me where I'm getting it wrong, please tell me.

And I didn't even need to look at your profile to have a pretty good guess you might be about 10-15 years old.

Actually, I would call it more honesty. Honesty hurts, get over it. You haven't come on here to learn, you have come on here to slam. If you were trying to learn, you would pose it as a quesiton, instead of acting like you know the truth even though the bible clearly speaks out against fornicators. You know exactly what Jesus had to say for fornicators, but you enjoy twisting the words of the bible to fit your pleasures. So many christians now are looking for loopholes so that they can love God and love the stuff of the world. Well it is not possible. I'm not someone who is going to butter up the truth to help others feel better about themselves. I'm going to tell it how it is. I know you have come on here only for the soul purpose to ammuse yourself. That is why I answer so bluntly.

Well I'm glad that you have figured out the site and realized that my age is right on all my posts. *applauds*

Oh really? Have you ever been around once when I ask all kinds of questions in the chat rooms? No, you haven't.

You know exactly what Jesus had to say for fornicators
Jesus never mentioned pre-marital sex.

You still didn't specifically address anything I said in my original post. But whatever. I have no desire to talk to you. bye

Sex IS wrong before marriage you have to look at it by sex is a gift from god, sex is all about creation not PLEASURE, it sickens me that you do that for pleaseure people who have one night stands and that, WRONG! You should know by now...anything fun is banned in Christianity. But you get to know God and eternal life which is way more funner.

It doesn't matter! If you are truly looking for the truth, then you would ask God about it, and you would ASK for biblical teachings on here. But instead you proceed to insist that you know exactly what is right, with no biblical proof.

Awesome, saying bye solves everything. Glad you have matured.

I think some of you are lieing ! I think there are those of you who say not to have sex because thats what you are sopossed to say. But you have sex anyways . And are you trying to tell me you won't have sex before your married? What if you get married and your partner doesn't satisfy you sexualy? Then you'll be sorry you ever married in the first place. I know that the Bible says its wrong. I love sex .I have a hard time staying away from it. There have been men that I dated and I held off on sex so they lost interest in me. So I was happy I didnt have sex with them. Some people are so shallow that they put there self worth in wether they are getting any or not. So I do see why its bad to have sex before marrage. However it is hard not to have sex once you had it. Some of my sons friends were sleeping with girlfriends they had no intention of staying with and they ended up making babyies. Now there stuck with their babys mamas for the next 18 years. I do see why its bad but I am not going to lie and deceive you by letting you beleive I don't do it.

No one asked you if you have sex. Sex is not love. That is exactly what you are making it out to be. Love isn't a bunch of emotions that make you feel good and when you feel bad you don't love that person anymore. Love is a choice. If you get married to someone and they don't please you sexually, it shouldn't be some massive deal that you regret marrying them for. Their is a lot more to love and marriage then sex.

It may not be a big deal to you but it is for me. If I married a poor lover I know that I would cheat on him. I know that sounds bad but its the tuith. Hope I dont shock you.

I feel terribly sorry that you have conformed to our world around us. A one shot guarantee to hell is to follow our world.

I am only confessing my sins and now you pity me. I pity you for not confessing yours
