Later on, I found out why and that it wasn't me he really wanted. He was messing around talking with 5 other women. ugh so sickening. Anyhow, I told him I would NOT do anything at all until I'm married. He couldn't wait, so that's one of the biggest reasons things didn't make it to marriage. It's so sad to see how many throw everything away, because they honestly believe it's okay to have premarital sex. Now what happens if you end up not marrying that person? GUILT sets in. You'll feel such regret.
Well, I completely understand why you want to wait... but I will also say... even real christian guys won't take it easily. Society doesn't accept it, and there are so many girls who WILL do at least... a few things.. before marriage.
To be honest... virgins scare me... alot. I am usually the one that turns girls down with the whole premarital sex thing... because I have values. I'm definitely no virgin, and I've made plenty of mistakes... and that's why (as I've stated in previous posts) I choose to do my best to not have sex before being married. The problem is, most women expect it, and if I turn them down they feel rejected and act as if I don't find them sexually attractive. That is completely wrong, but I just know how much guilt you get, and I do know that it draws you away from God in your relationship.
See, either way though, I find it a problem for a girl to straight up say "we won't do ANYTHING unless you marry me". See, a guy has no clue what the girl will even do with him ONCE they get married at that point. I'm deathly afraid of getting married, and then my wife be one of those "once a month" type girls. I would rather stay single than marry a girl just to have sex 12 times a year at most. That is ridiculous to me, but a lot of women choose that, because they KNOW the husband can't just walk away. They know they have him, and so sex is just out of the picture. It is completely selfish on her part in every single way possible, and it goes against scripture on the subject, but women don't seem to care at that point. Women only care about not having sex before marriage and use the bible as their reason, but then they go against the bible during marriage by not having sex as much as the husband wants. That is what scares me about women.
The reason I get scared of virgins are two fold: One would be... they are completely inexperienced. If I married her, I would have to do ALL of the training. That would be fine, except she doesn't even know if she likes sex. Some women simply do NOT like sex. It hurts them instead of feels good.--------inappropriate content edited----- Sex is a special thing... and I agree it should only happen within marriage... but once you are married, it should happen quite frequently. Some women use it as a reward/punishment thing, and it completely ruins it and takes away all passion and intimacy a couple can have together. If I got stuck with one of those women, I would honestly be miserable. Virgin girls simply would not know if they would be that girl or not, despite what they claim they would do with their husbands after they tie the knot.
Secondly, virgin girls who decide they like/love me enough to WANT to lose it to me, despite being married or not, just scares me. I'm no virgin, and a girl who loses something like that to me... especially at my age where it is increasingly rare on all accounts... well, if we break up she will hate me for it. That is placing far too much responsibility on my shoulders to stay with a girl, despite if we were meant to work out or not. I don't accept that type of responsibility, because it's unfair. It basically forces me to consider marriage with a girl simply because of sex. That is wrong.
As far as I think... sex before marriage was terrible way back in biblical times, because they had arranged marriages. They also all got married VERY young. Women were given away to men as early as 12 years old. They didn't really have time to grow up with the whole sexual temptation type of thing, and premarital sex was just as taboo back then as something like homosexuality is today. It just didn't happen very much.
Nowadays, in today's society, it is completely different. People wait til they are close to 30 before they get married, and to be a virgin for that long... it is almost impossible. Secondly, being a virgin at that age... it almost shows something is wrong with you over you being strong enough to withstand the temptation. It shows that you either couldn't get in a relationship, couldn't hold one, just simply have trust issues with men, or simply you are a very strong willed person. The last one is a great thing to have, but it just shows that there is probably something going on there. I'm not sure that I would want to marry a virgin myself. I am not one, and a girl that has slept with one guy (at least not a christian girl), will always wonder what it is like with someone else. I've seen this happen plenty of times. A girl will be with a guy for 5+ years, but she will cheat to experience "other men" and see what she was missing.
Maybe I just have trust issues with women, because I've seen a lot of evil ones in my day... far more evil than men could ever hope for... and so premarital sex just rotates into that trust issue with me. I do my best to not have sex with a girl before marriage, but I am prone to temptation, and they usually are the ones that push for it. Usually, I give in. I just know that a woman that refuses to do ANYTHING at all with me... and that is quite open for temptation... well, I'm not sure I would trust her to START doing things with her husband once she does get married. Also, it forces a man to want to marry the woman far earlier than he probably would have otherwise. This can lead to couples getting married strictly to experience sex to give into the temptation, but then what happens after? Your relationship outside of that may not have been developed, because you rushed into marriage to have sex. These type of things cause a lot of problems.
Either way, I agree that the bible says premarital sex is a sin. It is, but it also causes a lot of problems in today's society in relationships. Things are not even close to what they were in biblical times, and I'm pretty sure it is a LOT harder to follow through with being sinless in that area in today's world than back in ancient times. Simply put... it sucks! haha
