for us,

I have found, also 'continually discovering' that after conversion my 'transformation'
from my 'old-man' is a very slow process and a journey that is exciting and amazing and not stop....
our Father allows me so many opportunities to 'see myself' and to 'evaluate myself' with new eyes
that see new and wonderful things and when I compare to the old, then He shows me how I am
making progress into becoming His new and most thankful soldier and friend.

the way that I feel about others has changed in so many ways, for this Love that He has so
graciously shared just seems to grow and grow without stopping....

so, when our Father sent my wife and myself here to meet and exchange feelings and experiences
we were over-joyed to hear the words of other brethren who love Him also, we were so thankful
and very encouraged by reading so many heartfelt expressions of love by so many and hearing
about what they have felt and learned in their new walk, it is such a blessing
to us.

the point that I am trying to make is, that no matter if someones' words are not exactly as
we think they should be said or expressed or if we don't quite 'get' their meaning, what we
can do is learn to use our Spirits to search out and feel the intent behind their words so that
we may learn to discern true love and true heart-felt-honesty -
it does take some time and dedication, but with our Father's help, we know that once
He puts us on a path, His hands will never cease to guide and strengthen.

as to the 'other-side' of the coin? or yes, needless to say the 'learning-discerning'
goes both ways ------ what an amazing journey........

Amen...especially to the bold-faced part in that it pertains greatly to the topic of this thread.

What I find interesting is that those who are so ready to point out other peoples' "carnality" are oftentimes only exposing their own. IOW, there are posters here who regularly dismiss everything that is shared by other posters and put their focus upon PERSONAL ATTACKS instead. I pretty much look at it this way:

I might not like my mail carrier, but I still read my mail.

IOW, instead of desperately looking for imperfections in the message carrier, a lot more people here need to start considering the actual message itself which is being delivered by the same.

Anyhow, I personally believe that there are a lot of crybabies on this forum and I'm NOT suggesting that the OP is numbered amongst the same by any stretch of the imagination. As I mentioned on another thread just the other day, Jesus has called us to not only suffer for His name's sake, but such suffering could literally result in us being killed...and some crybabies can't even handle a little "heated exchange"...if it's even "heated" to begin with and not just the misreading/misunderstanding of somebody else's "tone".

The problem about the heated exchange though is that we are not called to debate in hateful, unfriendly tactics.
The name calling, belittling, and demeaning of a few on this site is not called for during these debates just because we do not see eye to eye. Just like I don't believe in OSAS but liked a thread yesterday of another poster who stated in her post that she does agree with it, and I liked her post not for that but because she gave her testimony in it. Showing that just because we have difference in doctrine belief does not mean we can not be loving, friendly, and enjoy what each other says.

First of all, Kenneth, you seem to be making an assumption which I'm simply not willing to make myself...and for good reasons. IOW, you seem to be operating under the assumption that everybody who posts on this forum who identifies himself/herself as a Christian actually is one. There are multitudes of warnings in scripture about "false brethren", "false teachers", "false apostles", "wolves in sheep's clothing", "seducers", "deceivers", "tares", etc., etc. Do you HONESTLY believe that none of the same participate regularly in this forum? I don't believe any such thing...not even for a nanosecond. We'll not only know people by their fruit, but also by their doctrine.

Secondly, I don't believe that all (some are) of the "heated exchanges" here are actually "heated" on both ends. Personally, I'm as cool as a cucumber when I'm posting and I've been accused of just about everything contrary to the same a multitude of times on this forum already. Who cares? If I'm falsely accused, then Jesus said that I'm blessed and that I should rejoice...but we've got a lot of crybabies here instead and, again, I am NOT referring to the OP here by any means whatsoever. In his case, I believe that he took a mature approach to address this recurring issue. Who here actually prays for their enemies? I do...but some people seemingly would rather just have their enemies either silenced or banned or both.

Anyhow, I hold nothing "personal" against anybody on this forum. I'm here to hopefully both learn and to share that which I've already learned, but I'm certainly not here to just join hands with everybody and to sing "Kumbaya". A lot of people on this forum need to be warned and those who warn the same can easily warn them out of genuine care or love for the same. Personally, I'd count someone my dearest friend if they accurately pointed out anywhere where I'm in error.

footnote: 'tidbit' if i get mail with a return address "hasatan" i don't listen to it nor did i ever nor would i ever allow my children nor anyone else to listen to it if they valued their soul and peace of spirit, soul and mind in christ jesus.

one time i did allow mail with a return address from hasatan to get through (a phone call from hasatan's disciple to a new believer) they ended up in tears in a few minutes, and thankfully but immediately needed to go back to their father's house for his care, compassion and recovery; they had been in hasatan's group for the previous few weeks, 'thinking' something was wrong but not willing to admit to themselves that what God in spirit had revealed could be true (that their 'friends' were hasatan's children and not God's children... they were in bed with roman rcc btw).

one other time; a 'friend' of twenty years committed the worse possible sin with someone close. i had trusted them for twenty years just as an acquantaince, and 'thought' they would or could be helpful; i was entirely wrong.
after they committed their abominable sin, since then(3 years?), they aren't even able to talk with me because of their guilty conscience, and they refuse to repent because their 'friends' won't be friends any more if they repent. (btw, they also are roman heretics, completely devoid of life or truth or salvation).

well, this is already more than most people here care to hear or admit. suffice it to say what

yahshua says in torah(scripture):
don't listen to the enemy(the worst enemies may be members of your own household, if you are saved; maybe otherwise also) .

guard your heart and mind.
keep your eyes from looking on that which cause you to sin.("a covenant with your own eyes").
don't ever study the enemy nations and their ways as if to go their way.

it's neither.

Oh, so it is self-evident, like the truth that all men are created equal?

it is simply truth

As in the scripture I quoted was from the Torah?

simply, to quote the above torah, scripture, then to say that all one can offer is their opinion is quite facetious(if that's the right english word to use.) (i.e. to say that all one can offer is their opinion is quite contrary to scripture)

Since the term 'Torah' refers to the writings in the Pentateuch, and not the Gospel contained in the NT, it appears you said the NT scriptures were the Torah, but maybe that is not the intention you meant to convey.

However, in regards to the i.e., ipso facto

all men are not created equal, so that's not even self-evident.

and no, scripture is not self-evident to anyone on their own, (remember it was not even to yahshua's disciples);
without revelation from yahweh elohim the almighty there is no wisdom, knowledge nor understanding - no light at all.....
the world, the fleshly, the carnal mind has no ability at all to see heaven nor to grasp truth.

all men are not created equal, so that's not even self-evident.

They are all procreated by a male and a female. So yes, all men are created the same.

Thus in Genesis 1:26, "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:"

But if you were born of the Spirit and the Word, you will see that "Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created."
