No. It wasn't that. She talked about the date set up. She was saying when he arrived for the date,when she saw him she didn't know who he was.

maybe it was just a case of, he didn't look like Harry on that date. Or the photos she's seen of him. IDK
What's the big deal anyway.

Actors and actresses lie for a living. I wouldn't want to marry one, I couldn't tell if they were acting or not. They could just be pretending to be in love....and everything else.

Harry was in the paper again this time the OpEd section where a lawyer wrote about how when someone sues someone in court it doesn't do anything to save their reputation or vindicate them (esp when they lose) and it just costs a lot of time and money.

Harry being a famous example, but also Oscar Wilde, and a noted Australian war veteran. (who I never heard of)

I'm not sure what Harry's court costs/bills are, but they would be in the thousands if not millions. He tried to sue the press for writing stuff about him that he claimed got without permission/bugged his phone/invaded his privacy. But he had no case.

Yes it sucks but making them pay for perceived damages isn't going to help anyone. He ended up having to pay them for the time he wasted.
 
Also, it served the opposite of what he wanted...ie drew even more attention to himself and his personal life.
 
I'm just glad he didn't phone his wife, and talked smut about being a tampon.

anyway...I'm not responsible for the New Idea magazine that broke the news about that one with his dad and stepmother.
 
Honestly I don't think you missed much. I sort of skimmed over his army days. I really wanted to know more about what he remembered about his mum.
But...it was all a bit of a haze for him, esp when he was tripping on mushrooms and stealing/borrowing food from Courtenay Cox's fridge.

Ghostwriter, you really missed the point of this book. I'm sure if Harry had written an Ode to his family you could have published it instead.
 
I mean Dolly Parton wrote 'I will always love you' when she had to leave Porter Wagoner...she did it in a classy way though and didn't make it all about herself.
