Imperial... is that a Canadian measure? LOL. I was thinking Canadian gallon, anyways... I know Canada and US gallons are different, but can never keep straight whose is bigger or smaller :p And of course now that matter little since we went metric many years ago, yikes, it was in 1970. I can still think in both values, but my daughter has no idea what Fahrenheit temps mean.

Canada uses an imperial gallon that contains 4.546 liters. US gallon is 4 quarts or 3.785 liters. I used to live in Detroit and would go to Windsor, Ontario occasionally. Windsor is a nice town. Detroit used to be nice but the buildings are either boarded up or burnt out. It looks like a war zone. Downtown Detroit is nice but outside of that is mostly a slum. Very dangerous. It looks like Beirut.

There was a thread on CC recently about whether it is biblical to defend yourself and your family. It was mainly a pacifist thread. For those who believe that it is not biblical to protect yourself and your love ones it would be best stay away from that place. Even God's angels who patrol the streets there pack heat or carry a blade. That place is definitely not for the feint hearted.

I hear the stories from my Dad of a time when he remembers when gas stations were made of pure gold.
The gas station attendants would pay you 3 cents a gallon to take the gas off their hands.

Brand new cars cost a nickel, and local bakers would come to your house to make fresh bread.
Milk was grown on trees, and everyone owned a brand new comb.

Wow, those must have been the days?
I don''t believe the comb part though.

I'm a little skeptical about that myself. :)

I remember gas being 12 cents a gallon, they washed your windshield, checked
your oil, checked the tire pressure in your tires. Oh, the good ole days.
We still have full service lanes at many gas stations, and the city where my daughter lives that is all they have = full service, meaning you sit in your car and they do all the work, but even for a woman such as myself it feels weird, as if I am being pampered LOL

Reborn I am still laughing about your post; it may be the funniest one I've seen since I've been here :)

So... I tried taking a pic... But can't upload a photo with my phone... So, I'll just have to say it... After graduating college 15 months ago... I FINALLY can hold my diploma in my hand! It came in the mail today!

I almost witnessed something I never thought I would ever see. Reminder to self: when you are at the gas station make sure you don't have the hose still attached to your car.

Btw it wasn't me. Lol
lol, this is not as bad as what someone who went to my highschool did. He got locked out of his car and his window was down a little, so he thought he could climb in through the window.....ended up getting stuck with his head sticking out the window and he couldn't move in any direction or unlock the car......apparently everyone else had left him too.....apparently this was late at night when his shift got over and the place closed.

I do that too. I have a gazillion folders with pictures in them. :) Though I'm finding that pics taken with a digital camera will NOT upload on here. :(
Is the file too large? Resolutions just keep getting bigger and bigger. Resizing may help... :)

Boys and girls were separated where I went to school until about grade four, that would have been 1964-65. That was when the sexual revolution started. ;)
