Why is a law called the law of Moses ?
[h=2]The Ceremonial law Holy days and feasts[/h]Before considering Colossians 2:16, Galatians 4:10 and Romans 14:5, getting some insight into the various feasts, holy days and sacrificial sabbaths will give us a much better understanding of this law and why Paul referred to it as bondage. Leviticus chapter 23 is the easiest and shortest way of covering these feasts and sabbaths so we will start there and then move onto Colossians 2:16 and the other passages.To fully understand the purpose of the ceremonial or sacrificial law, one must really understand the principle of typeand antitype. The sequence of days observed for the feasts as shown in scripture is the “type.” This sequence of days is symbolic of what was to come in the future and for its fulfilment which is the “antitype.” The type andantitype WILL and MUST therefore always match precisely.
Leviticus 23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; you shall do no work therein: it is the SABBATH of the LORD in all your dwellings.The above verse refers to the fourth Commandment, i.e. Gods Sabbath. It is the “Sabbath of the Lord” and is part of that great eternal law of love that James called liberty.
Notice how it is listed separately from the other “feasts of the Lord.” Note also how it is a Holy convocation, that is, the Sabbath is a day intended for fellowshipping with other Christians and quality Holy time with our Creator. This is not part of the Mosaic Law!The seventh day Sabbath is a memorial of creation that God established at creation and is not a day that originated with the Jews, it preceded them. When one of the feast days fell on the seventh day Sabbath, it was referred to as a high Sabbath day (John 19:31).

Ex 24:1-8 is cutting the Sinaitic Covenant in blood.
Heb 9:19-21 - is cleansing of the Tabernacle and its vessels by the blood.
As testaments (wills) were made effective by the death of the testator (Heb 9:16-17),
so covenants were ratified (made effective) by blood (death). (Heb 9:18-20)
All (vessels of) worship is faulty (impure) unless cleansed by the sprinkling of Christ's blood ( Heb 9:21-22; Jn 14:6).

You asked for the color of the commandments, not the color of the stone.

This seem like a very uninformed and unedifying discussion by some of you I have heard. Jesus said we shall exceed the old law. Examples in scripture( Matthew 5) are when Jesus said it has been said thou shall not kill ,but I say unto you if any has anger toward his brother without a cause he is in danger.It has been said not to commit adultery ,but I say if you even look on a woman with thoughts in your heart you have already committed adultery. It has been said love your neighbor and hate your enemies , but I say love them which persecute you do good to those who despite fully use you. that you may be children of your father which is in heaven ,for he makes the rain to fall on the evil and the good (Math5:17) Think not that I have come to destroy the law ,but to fulfill it. In the new covenant by the Holy Spirit dwelling within us , we are expected to exceed the righteousness of the scribes and pharisees. (2 cor 2:3) Inasmuch as you are manifestly declared to be the epistles of Christ ministerd by us, written not with ink,but with the spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone (ten commandments) but in fleshly tables of the heart.(Rom 13:8) Owe no man anything, but to love one another, for he that loveth another has fulfilled the law. (9) For this thou shall not commit adultery, thou shall not steal, thou shall not bear false witness, thou shall not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. (10) Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.(Rom 3:21) But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets, even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe.( Rom 2:14) For when the gentiles which have not the law , do by nature the things contained in the law,these having not the law , are a law unto themselves; (15) shewing the work of the law written in their hearts. There are way to many people here that pridefully think they are teachers,confusing people ,and quenching the Spirit who would like to teach us all through fellowship with one another and sharing what God has given to us. I think God is about to thin out some of the weeds, so take it for what it is worth. God bless those that he chooses.

Why is it that you have no answer for the mark of the beast on the forehead or hand. Has it already been fulfilled and have some lost their 'head' over it? You can't give your answer above and then stop short of answering the mark. The mark sould be history to you and surely you would be able to come up with some historical evidence both past and present to signify this mark being taken or rejected. You can't identify the mark nor the number as you have done the beast because it is future and that would ruin your doctrine and expose your errors which you have given so much time to convince others and discredit those who oppose what you believe. The scriptures are there yet you are in conflict.
Umm surely you jest that question wasn't answered before.

The Christians of the first century were under the military authority of Rome, a nation which openly proclaimed its rulers, the Caesars, to be divine. All those under the jurisdiction of Rome were required by law to publicly proclaim their allegiance to Caesar by burning a pinch of incense and declaring, "Caesar is Lord".
