it's wednesday. church service yaaaaaaaaaaaas. but also means i won't have dinner til after. here's to hoping my stomach doesn't growl during the sermon. lol

We just got back from a Chinese all you can eat buffet. My fortune said that I was going to be spending a quiet day at home today. It was obviously wrong but the meal was enjoyable and the company (wife) very much agreeable and pleasant.
 
Many of you know that I had weight loss surgery, well it's working and I'm losing weight. I'm so thankful that I'm slowly getting back to the weight I was about 10 years ago. I feel my energy and adventurous spirit coming back too. I am longing to go on long hikes again, it's been far to long. I am so happy. :)

I've been bitten by a bee, twice. The most recent was just a couple days ago. I went to sit down on my friend's sofa and leapt into the air, shrieking. My friends wife and two girls were sitting across from me, saw my excitement and tried not to laugh. I'm not good with pain. And it was a very small bee, so the stinger was crazy-small and difficult to remove. But far out, did that stinger pump lots of poison into my blood system. Still, the bee sting didn't hurt anything as much as the two inch-ant bites I've had in the past - those are seriously nasty (my whole hand swelled up, big-time) and the extreme pain lasted for hours. The pain lessened after a day or two, but only subsided after almost a week.

That cookie may have been intended for a restaurant with a habit of giving people food poisoning. It might not have been a fortune as much as a statement of the obvious.
