I hope you know I don't have anything personal against people who like to run. I just have bad memories of gym class having to run for hours & it not being fun at all. Now on an odd side note,I used to love playing Basketball...and all that is is running back & forth like a lunatic,so ummm...yeah.

oh, i totally know. and it's funny to me, because when i hear comments like yours, it reminds me that it was't that all that long ago i was one of "those people" or so it feels.

there's something awesome about re-invention, you know?

anytime, ANYTIME, we can change who we are. it's one of my favorite things about life...

gym class sucked. i wasn't "traditionally" coordinated. i was a bit of a loner, a massive geek, and a late bloomer. because i had been advanced two grades (thus, two years younger than everyone else), i was even more conspicuously freakish.

being fish-belly white, covered with freckles and rocking practically a 'fro didn't help my case.

the only thing i was missing was a "kick me" sign.

took care of it for ya, Monica! :)

It seems emotional to think I'm still praying healing and completeness in Christ for Mom. It seems even purely crazy, but I know God hasn't ever changed. He can heal, He does heal, and He WILL heal because it says in His word He will... I know we don't always get it in the way we want. I'll come to terms with it if it comes to pass in this point in time. I know we live in a fallen world, and death is inevitable. Everyone has a season, though, and I'm believing that season is not upon us at this point in time. You don't need to ask me what if it is, because I already know the what-ifs, and God will be glorified through that too if it happens whether I like it or not.

Often I sit and wonder why does God even love me, I've failed him so much and still the one thing he asks of me I can't even do right.. what's the point is what I constantly think... I just need someone to talk to from time to time I guess..

Because His love isn't based on anything conditional, nor anything you can or cannot do. We can't brag about our love for God because we fail Him daily, but we can brag about His love because it never fails! There is no shifting shadow, nor is there any fickleness in God, if He loves you He will love you to the end.

I understand that but when someone loves you, you feel it.. I don't feel his love even though I hear it said over and over that he loves me

Just as faith isn't a feeling, love isn't either. Feelings change, but not love. Now to feel that love, just think about what he has done for you. When I think about it, words cannot fully expose the intense expression inside. God, Almighty and powerful, holy and righteous, would give His only Son to bear my punishment and guilt before God in my place, this wretched fool! Oh how amazing is that grace that appeared the hour I first believed! Amazing is that grace I never deserved to make me His own and lead me home! : )

It does help to talk about it. I've felt like this before. One thing that really touched me lately was something I saw in a movie. I went to see Heaven is for real, in this one part of the movie, the Father in the movie is talking to his friend, a woman that goes to the church he's a Pastor of. The woman's adult Son died in probably Iraq during the war, a few years back and they are at the cemetery talking. I'm going to post the video. When he says God doesn't love anyone more than anyone else, that I needed to hear.

I don't believe I've ever seen the forum so thirsty.

There will come a time when none of us will ever be thirsty :)

John 4:14

"But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."

Good morning, world.

I keep forgetting about my cup of coffee and it's getting cold, the weather is gray and turning nasty- supposed to snow up to six inches tomorrow- and my kids are unhappy because they can't have chocolate for breakfast.

It's a lovely day.

Nothing like spring in Colorado :)

Good to see you back Cris

Good stuff, Donkey. But I sure hope there are other translations of the Bible on the New Heaven and the New Earth, and not just the KJV.

I think anyone has a right to be unhappy when they can't have chocolate for breakfast.

: )

I only use the KJV because there's nothing wrong with it and that's what I've always used, I'm not an onlyist. lol. If the KJV was the only version of the bible that had the gospel, I guess the original greeks, the germans, the spaniards, the chinese, the checkoslavakians, and the italians are all screwed then eh? :P.
