I would just say, "We went to the store." Haha. That avoids that problem all together. ;) I used to be awful at grammar. Then, I homeschooled my kids. I re-learned a lot. It was sort of fun. Anyone else here have fun diagraming sentences? :D

I'm actually a stickler for good grammar. I admire well written passages of writing. They just sound better to my virtual ears and they seem to convey messages in a more polished tone. When someone writes an article using bad grammar it irks me and makes me wonder how that person ever became a journalist.

On the other hand, I can always tell when someone simply has limited english speaking skills. That doesn't bother me because I know they are doing their best. It's when someone ain't be doing their grammar right and all that gets me. :rolleyes:

Couldn't have said it better myself. It's one thing to be uneducated, it's another to remain wilfully and stubbornly ignorant.

If u could find that out and address that incident so they'll know it was just a bad learning experience then maybe it will end their fear of trying. Just a thought. :)

They aren't always afraid of trying. But something like an 2 or 3 nights away is a little much for them, I mean without Mom or Dad. A night is okay. I think they're normal on the sense that no one wants to look foolish in front of a bunch of kid's their own age. Kid's can be cruel, we all know that. I've had to encourage the preschool kid's I work with to try. It's just a normal thing.

Those who chose other than Jesus; however, no matter how dear to us, will die in their sins and be eternally lost...we'll never see or be with them again...and even if we do see them, like the story of Lazurus and the rich man, they'll be in eternal death and the flames of Hell. No more chances. No way to fix or change that.

In movies, when the protagonist sees his/her loved ones die and gets a chance to go back and change time and 'fate', he/she does so frantically and relentlessly out of a mixture of love, urgency, the fear of the reality of losing them, etc...

What about us in real life with the reality of both spiritual and physical life and death for eternity? Are we saved, and if so... Isn't there anyone else you want to save? Isn't there someone you would frantically fight against time and 'fate' for?

Oh I didn't realize you were talking about them being away from home. Awww that's normal. I remember the first time I was going to a camp with my classmates I was scared too but also very excited, but I think I was in 5th grade already.
 
anybody else excited about the time change this weekend? lol.

only thing i don't like about the time change is when i get off from work, it's sooo dark outside.
 
We already changed. I really don't see the point.... it just upsets the sleep pattern of humans and animals alike
We should stick to the summer time time and stop messing it up

PS: PC is freezing on me, but go to youtube and look for Daylight savings trailer :D
 
Listening to my baby brother cry, makes me wish it was socially acceptable for adults to do that when we wake up.
 
I got paid today, and I had planned on giving my mom the money to help her pay her rent. But like an idiot I deposited the check and now I can't withdraw it till tomorrow, but by then my mom will be charged will another $75 late fee. I feel kinda low right now.

Does the money have to be in cash? Maybe you could just write your mom a check for the amount you were going to give her and she can use this today towards the rent. Don't feel down on yourself as you are doing your best.

I don't have enough in my checking account to cover the check, but I just remembered I have enough in my savings to cover the late fee, so everything should be good once my check clears tomorrow. Thanks for jogging my memory.

I'll be back once I get internet set up and stuff unpacked and all that other kind of stuff at my new place.
 
Weird full moon kind of night tonight. The schizophrenic lady who is a regular customer was really having a bad argument with whoever and The nosy lady who is also a regular customer started asking her why she didn't go to the Laundromat closer to her house and blah blah blah. It was loud and crazy, then my husband calls in the middle of all this to ask questions and then my regular Vietnamese man customer was in and as always asked me why all the machines were in use and why this and why that? Then my sweet customer who just picks up his laundry accidentally knocked over our log book and I had to put that all back together while the two ladies are arguing and the Vietnamese man was going on and one on to me about people who hog all the machines. You know what I did? I loudly said, ENOUGH! They all simmered down after that. CRAZY!!!
