I understand this very well, Toi.
I worked a job for several years in which I had weekends off. Every Friday night I would go home and contemplate that if I died on Friday night, no one would probably come looking for me until Tuesday or Wednesday. My job would wonder where I was on Monday because I've never done a no call, no show, in my life, but it would probably take until Tuesday or Wednesday before someone came to investigate.
It's not a good feeling, I know.
I'm sorry you're feeling down and will be sure to pray for you.

2 things that have been annoying me lately with the Christian community overall.
1. "Don't judge!" The other day, my friend told me that a classmate of ours had two abortions. I replied with "omg that's terrible!" My friend quickly told me "don't judge though, you don't know why she did it." First of all I wasn't judging, I was shocked and reacted in such a manner. Secondly, by you telling me not to judge, you are judging me too! So stop it. If you have a problem with people judging you or others, pray for them and leave them alone. Otherwise by you telling them not to judge people, you are judging that person too! Admit it, we all judge others. It's a problem that everyone needs to work on personally with God.
2. Virgin shaming. I came across a blog post with the title reading something like this, "Your Virginity Doesn't Make You a Better Christian." No, really? I had no idea!
Because the virgins I know, are always talking about how much better they are than everyone else right? Maybe that writer is feeling insecure for not being one? I don't know...but as a virgin myself I find it annoying. Virgins don't consider themselves better or purer than others. We know that we're sinners just like everyone else. What I find annoying is that the feminist view doesn't really value the decision to stay a virgin until marriage. We don't get much support there. Now to see the support disintegrating from the Christian community as well is just sad.

I live in the South (Texas) too but I go to a very liberal university. 0_0 For example it's common to have signs all over the school with things like "Not my President" or "Don't judge!" or "Slut Pride!" or even "Buy your pussy hat now." The only reason I go to that school is because I go free and I guess it's better than going to a more conservative school and having to get loans.
The other day my family was talking and then mentioned that a relative's daughter is a lesbian. The daughter is my age. Anyways, she lives there with her mom and her lesbian lover. They have a bedroom together and the mom allows it. They're Christians too. I made the comment "I don't know how a mom could allow that in her house!" then my uncle said "well we shouldn't judge them...what can she do?" I told him "she could kick her daughter out!" Then my cousin said "yeah but we have to love people no matter what." When did I say I didn't love them? It's like Rick Warren said.

It's that by telling me "stop judging," you're essentially judging me...for judging others. At least that's the way I see it. I feel judged when they tell me to stop judging. I don't really care...I don't feel like a victim, but it is annoying for people to keep saying "don't judge."
The other point was the virgin shaming. I expect it as school and I've learned to never talk about it in public. I have female friends in class and I wouldn't tell that I am one because I know they would react negatively or treat me differently. Obviously, I don't lie and say I've been with guys, but I don't talk about it.
But what surprises me is seeing it in the church too. A few months ago during summer I led a Bible study for teen girls on the topic of modesty and the importance of waiting. The girls liked it and I could tell they got a lot out of it. But one of the moms yelled at me. This lady doesn't go to church anymore, thank God. But she yelled at me because she said I was shaming her daughter and that her daughter could do as she pleases. If she wants to wear a crop top, she can. Of course I didn't tell them not to wear certain things but that some articles of clothing can cause men to stumble. I told them that if we love God, we follow his commandments and read his word. I told them that it's important to wait until marriage because the word says so.
So that mom was upset about the modesty talk and because I said that if we loved God we would at least try our best to wait until marriage. I even talked about healing from sexual activity and how God renews us. But this mom was so focused on my "backwards" views that she didn't care to listen when I tried explaining. I was kinda scared honestly...but I had my Pastors' support so at least there's that.

Horrors! JUDGING! The thing that kills me? "Right" and "Wrong" are absolutes. There is nothing evil about saying "what that person is doing is wrong". In fact, it is biblical! If someone is obviously breaking one of the commandments, it's not judging them to say that it is wrong, keeping in mind that it is no worse than the sins that we commit every day, and that nothing is too great for Christ to forgive. Talk about taking a verse in the Bible and running with it! Ok, my rant is over too

Pain just pain,is how I feel right now,and my mind is settled but my heart is cold..again...maybe tomorrow I'll be more happy like,looked up introvert and I guess I am that way,joyous for a time but then pretty dead emotion wise later on,good night everyone I'll hopefully be more at least able to be cheery a little,just one of those times for me...

Friday has come, and training with Memo has gone great. He is mastering all key elements in the approval test that is going to take place next week. He picks up everything, from credit cards to spades, he takes off my shoes and lifts my legs up. He walks foot beautifully together with Plato, he opens and closes doors perfectly, he can stay in the middle of a shopping mall without moving an inch for three minutes. I am proud of my dog, and I am proud that my two guys are getting along so greatly. Was I depressed the other day? Forget it! Life is good. My dogs don't need an electric collar. They are each other's guards. Lynx: That thing is illegal in Norway, and my American dog trainer was not at all happy for even mentioning it. Use it wisely, will you?
