Just because you are not / do not know any that are, it does not mean such a thing does not exist.
Suicide is never an option. It is the coward's way out. Unfortunately many people don't see any other alternative, and have given up on God, or feel that He has given up on them. Been there, done that..

So have I. It was a suicide attempt that finally opened my eyes to the existence of God. For me, it was only after I had hit the absolute rock bottom of my existence was I willing to look up and see a hand reaching out to me to lift me up and help me back on my feet.

My Mom had Cancer. She was in constant pain the last week of her life. The pain was so great no painkiller could stop it without also stopping her breathing and her heart.
She did think about ending it all.
For some its not about being a coward, for some its because of constant unending pain. So please reconsider what you have said.

Once many years ago, I was allowed to feel the abject sorrow of someone and the shock of the bullet entering his heart when I was several thousand miles away. It was my father. When I was given this experience, I was in Europe and my father was in Montana. Upon officially receiving the news of his death, I asked when it occurred, and the time with the time difference coincied with when I had this experience "given to me." I also collapsed , but not for the shock of the bullet, but from the sorrow I felt that was more powerful than any bullet.. Having experienced this broken-hearted sorrow, I know our Father was allowing me to know it was fine. I hope no on ever experiences this sorrow without it being a gift from God, because it could kill a person.
Some of you are condemning suicide as I type this. I suppose it would be the same people who say out of one side of the mouth the law is dead, and out of the other side of the mouth they also accuse ever sinner of all of their sins as unforgiveable.

Have you seen how many people in these and other Christian forums that are depressed?

I think you misunderstood me. You gave me Saint Paul as an example of ...someone that wants to die. But I wanted to show you that his longing for death is a christian one (as expressed in the niceene creed) and not a desperate one.
You can't pretend that you are saved and then comit suicide. I just want people to be a little honest about this. A desperate person is someone who lost hope ...
A christian is struggling with depression, suicidal thoughts and all kind of sins (I never said it wasn't like this) but if you give up the fight...well, you give up the fight, you loose.
I'm just very thankful I have a loving father who decides my final destination, instead of some of the lawkeepers on this board.
It must be reassuring to be so positive about others' salvation status.

I want to understant how salvation works.
Perhaps we don't understand it the same way. I see an incoherence in saying that some one is saved but then he comits suicide. You don't see the incoherence so that's why I said to myself that we probably do not understand salvation the same way.

We cannot lose our Salvation by Suicide! We can lose our Rewards in Heaven, but not our Salvation.

It's totally wrong. There are so many war veterans who have fought and lost their lives or if they've managed to keep their lives in a war torn territory they come home and are on the verge of suicide or actually do commit end their lives every day because they deal with triggers of ptsd in every breath they draw. All because of the sacrifice they've made for these people.
I've worked with a family whose 7 year old son died after giving up from ongoing cancer treatment in the hospital. He asked his mother if he could give up and on her consent he drew his last breath, she said he would've kept trying otherwise.

How can one believe totally in God and receive Salvation and the next minute totally believe that God is not real? We cannot. But what we can do is deceive our self into thinking we have received Salvation, then the next minute curse God.
