There are plenty of verses concerning the "left behind". for example, "one is taken and one is left" the Greek word for taken is taken as a close personal friend, and the word for left is "divorced".
Not in the KJV , maybe the Darby Bible !

Left Behind Doctrine in KJV

Matthew 24:40-41 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Take (paralambanō) – to take to, to take with one's self, to join to one's self, an associate, a companion
Left (aphiēmi) – to send away, to bid going away or depart: of a husband divorcing his wife

This is the KJV. The Greek words are very clear, one is divorced, left, hence left behind. These are “two women” and the church is viewed as a woman and the believers are viewed as the bride of the Lord. One is taken, joined to the Lord, an associate, a companion. The other is left, divorced, hence “left behind”.

Revelation 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; 8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

This is also KJV. There are seven churches in Revelation 2 and 3. However, this promise to be kept from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world is only given to Philadelphia. This is a reference to the Harpazo, to be snatched out of the way of certain destruction.

Revelation 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
This is also KJV. Meanwhile, this promise is given to Laodicea. In this church Jesus is outside of the church, the door is shut in His face, this is a reference to the apostasy which has left the word of God. Jesus Christ is the incarnated word of God. To “spue thee out of my mouth” is a reference to being left, to being divorced, hence “the left behind”.
Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

This is also KJV. To escape is a reference to the rapture. The word most associated with rapture is Harpazo which means to be snatched out of the way of sudden destruction, hence it is an escape. We are told that as soon as “the restrainer is taken out of the way” the Antichrist is revealed and the tribulation begins. So as the raptured saints are taken up the tribulation begins. Describing this as an escape is a reasonable description. This verse indicates that not all will be watching and praying always. It also indicates that not all believers will be accounted worthy to escape, hence “left behind”.

2 Thessalonians 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

This is also KJV. The falling away is a Greek word we refer to as “apostasy”. In Acts it refers to Israel leaving the word of God given by Moses. It means to fall away from the word of God. There are churches who no longer consider the word of God inerrant, they follow the word they agree with and disregard those words they disagree with. They are Laodicea with Jesus Christ, the inerrant word of God outside of their church. There will be many “Christians” who will be “deceived”. They will listen to false prophets, they will leave the word of God, and they will be “spued out of the Lord’s mouth”, “divorced”, “left behind”.

I have been reading the Bible over 50 yrs and can’t find no Pretrib rapture. I went to even a Darby church heard it all and still can’t find a Pretrib rapture in the bible . My thinking is the 1st resurrection is confused by some . On the last day is the 1st resurrection, not the second if Pretrib is true but is not found in the bible . Amen .

Just read the Bible ! It works , but ask the Lord to open your understanding or you may get deceived by men . Amen
I share links to others because I am not the arbiter of truth, and because the Lord said by the testimony of two or three let a thing be established. This demonstrates that what I am sharing is not simply my own interpretation.

Why don't you write a blog. It is hard to take someone seriously who has only been on this forum for a little more than a month. We are all commissioned to be witnesses, I encourage you and I encourage everyone who is a believer to be witnesses of the Lord.

Index of Bible References volumes 1-5

I would have done this for all of them but ran out of time. However, it does help those who are interested in a particular verse to find the verse and what is said about it. One reason I did this was so I could look for verses that had not been referenced.

Who is the Great Babylon

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yQatkwB8A2Xi6og2WRxNvfw3CEV0n2_n/view?usp=sharing

This Pdf goes through every verse in the New Testament and many in the Old referring to Babylon. I see which of the various interpretations fit. The main three are: Israel, Vatican and the US, though I also see if England fits any. I used to subscribe to the teaching of Darby and Watchman Nee on this, however, everyone should know that when they taught the US was not a superpower, Hollywood and Multinational corporations did not exist (true for Darby, Watchman Nee was around at the time of silent movies). The pandemic had not taken place and the apostasy in the US had not taken place. You could not compare the US to Sodom and Gomorrah at the time of Darby or Watchman Nee.

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. 2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. 3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

The key concept here is this thought of being justified. The seventh day adventists teach that going to church on Sunday is the wrong day, it should be Saturday. First of all, the "Sabbath day" is not Saturday. The "Sabbath day" is based on the Hebrew calendar, it is the New moon, the first quarter, the full moon, the last quarter. So it is a lie and a deception to say that you are "keeping the Sabbath" because you worship the Lord on Saturday and not the Lord's day. But either way, we are not justified by that. We are justified by the Lord's blood shed on the cross. We are justified because we have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer we that live, but Christ that lives in us. That is the real circumcision. The same goes with the food. If you don't eat pork because you feel it is healthier not to, that is fine, but you aren't justified because of that. No one is condemned because they eat food that is not kosher. We are justified by the blood of Jesus and we are condemned if we reject the blood of Jesus.

Oxen are slaves, we keep them in bondage and we put a yoke on them to pull the plow or a cart. Prior to being saved you were a slave of sin, and you were pulling Satan's plow or cart. The Lord set us free when He died and rose from the dead. He told us to be His witnesses. So naturally Satan will try to entangle you again in a yoke of bondage. Instead of witnessing of the resurrected Christ who is Lord of all you might be selling Kosher food, or selling "our church is better because we meet on Saturday", or even telling people that if they really want to be saved they need to get circumcised. False prophets want to make merchandise of you. It is OK that a Christian ministry publishes books, we were told to publish the gospel. It is OK that they make movies or music. But ask yourself and go to the Lord over this, are you a witness of the Lord Jesus, or a salesman selling books, DVDs, and CDs? Think of the "Moonies" they were caught up into this cult and next thing you know they are selling flowers at airports for "the prophet".

What did the Lord say to that guy who talked about all the great things he had done in the Lord's name and the Lord said "depart from me you worker of iniquity, I never knew you". You may think the books, DVDs, CDs, coffee cups, Tshirts, etc are all a great work done in the name of the Lord. Maybe, but before you started selling that stuff did you check with the Lord? Are you doing something that is right in your own eyes, or are you responding to the Lord's call on your life?

What happens is this, you wind up selling someone else's witness, someone else's testimony. We are the Lord's witnesses, we are on trial, you can't get up on the stand, swear to tell the whole truth, and then share someone else's witness. We want to hear your testimony, anything else is a lie.

The crux of ministry

Galatians 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. 7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?

This is the crux of a ministry, it is faith working by love. Everything else that religion teaches you to obey is hindering this ministry. Do not confuse that with the things that the word of the Lord Jesus teaches us to obey.

8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.

This is the secret, Jesus tells us to have no fellowship with idols. But religion teaches you to celebrate Easter, a pagan god. The persuasion to celebrate Easter does not come from the New Testament. However, Jesus tells us to take the Lord's table in remembrance of Him, to focus on His death and resurrection. That persuasion does come from the Lord. A pagan fertility celebration with eggs and bunny rabbits does not come from Him.

9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

Any time you hear "oh it is just a little thing" know that this is an excuse for accepting leaven.

10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.

That is the goal, to make you otherwise minded. We are aiming for the bullseye, you are not going to hit it if you are otherwise minded. Suppose our goal is to minister Jesus Christ, to be a witness of Him in this dark age, and to bring many to the Lord through the gospel. If you add Easter and Christmas to that vision you are "otherwise minded". You will wind up bringing people who want to dress up, and who love pageantry, etc. To be close to the mark doesn't count. When I started this blog I wanted it to be stripped down, just the Bible. I made a name that would turn people away who were not interested in what the Bible said. There were no bells and whistles, no fancy graphics. I had seen in Christianity that many thought you needed that. A rock band, a big stage, expensive sound system, etc. The problem is that unless the Lord leads you, you can become otherwise minded. You think you need to do all these other things to bring people into the church.

11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offense of the cross ceased.

I preach that "I am crucified with Christ" is the real circumcision. The cross in our life circumcises our heart, this is how we get a new heart, a heart of flesh. What is weird is I don't go around to other blogs and tell them what to do and what not to do. So why do they come to me and tell me it is OK to celebrate Easter rather than Resurrection day? Why do they come and tell me that according to the law you have to worship Jesus on Saturday, not the Lord's day? The offense of the cross is that it puts all that stuff to death. Only what rises out of the grave should be kept, everything else, leave it in the grave.

12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.

We are being trained to rule and reign. Think of these ones who trouble us as part of that training. One day they will be cut off, but until that day know that the Lord, He is Lord, and the only reason He allows them to trouble you is because it is helping you to grow in grace and mature.

13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

We have been called to serve one another. Earlier we saw that we have been called to be the Lord's witnesses and to not be entangled in a yoke of bondage. I don't use this ministry to sell books, DVDs, CDs, shirts, coffee mugs, etc. However, on the other hand I can serve one another in love. Why do I post links to Vicky Goforth Parnell's ministry? Because if people come to this blog to get the word I want them to know there are others, with different gifts, who are also speaking the word. Her speaking is completely different from mine, and that is because no one has the monopoly on the truth. What is common is that she speaks the word and serves the Lord Jesus. The same is true of others that I post the links to. She emphasizes that you must discern the spirit and I emphasize that I am not the arbiter of truth. Two people can hear the same message, in one person the Lord can speak through that message, to another the enemy can twist it into a yoke of bondage. You have to take it to the Lord, that is on the hearer.

14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

This is what a ministry is. You think about what you needed, what you wanted, what would have helped you to find the Lord and be saved, and you love your neighbor as you would have had someone love you. When you think back and think "I wish someone had shared with me" that is the Spirit moving within you, saying there is a need for this ministry. Instead of worrying if you will reach "a million people" focus on helping that one person who is in the same situation you were in when you needed to be saved. That is what a ministry is.

Galatians 5:15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

What I want to get to is verse 18, if you are led by the Spirit you are not under law. But we have to read these verses first because I have actually seen those who say that when they are biting and devouring one another that they are "led by the Spirit".

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

There are two opposing forces operating, the lusts of the flesh and the leading of the Spirit. The Spirit's leading is always to stop us from fulfilling the lusts of the flesh. The only way you can discern the leading of the Spirit is if you are also crystal clear on the lusts of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

This actually makes it easier to discern the Spirit. If you realize what the lust of the flesh is, then you will realize that still small voice that is contrary to fulfilling that lust is the Spirit.

18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Think of the military. Suppose I am a private and a captain wants to know "what are you doing here?" If I have been given orders by the General, I show him those orders and the captain will get out of the way. Jesus Christ is the General. The captain is there to prevent those who are trying to fulfill the lusts of the flesh, that is why the law was given. But if you are walking according to the orders of Jesus Christ, the General, then the captain needs to step aside.

For example, when I started this blog about the rapture, the rapture was like the third rail in the subway. It was something you didn't touch. This was for good reason, many of the cult leaders and false prophets come to this topic to fulfill the lusts of the flesh. They use it to get people to follow them and to make merchandise of them. Think of Jim Jones, David Koresh and the Moonies.

However, I have been working on this since 2020, it is not to fulfill the lusts of the flesh, rather it is to dig into the word of God on this topic. I have not been biting and devouring those who disagree, I don't push the "pre trib", "mid trib" or "post trib" doctrines. Nor am I using this to make merchandise of anyone or to get any following. I stand on the word of God, that is the command of the General, Jesus Christ, the incarnated word of God. This is what every ministry is supposed to do.

Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

If you get involved in a ministry and discover the ministry leader is involved in adultery, or fornication, or uncleanness, or if his jokes behind the scenes is lascivious, or if he is involved in idolatry, or witchcraft, or hatred is coming out of his mouth, etc. If you see any of these things, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, anything divisive. These are all works of the flesh. I don't care how eloquent a speaker this guy is, I would leave that ministry. I realize it is difficult. If you take a stand you will be castigated as being "poisoned", they will claim you were offended over something, they'll slander and defame you. I get that. Following the Lord's command in Matthew 18 is difficult, it is like willingly going to the cross to be scourged and crucified. I realize that doing this can cause you to lose everything. But losing everything that is fleshly is good. God is searching your heart, the only question you should be concerned with is this: when the Lord returns will He say "well done thou good and faithful servant"?

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Think of these things as a guage on your instrument panel telling you if you are one with the Spirit or not. As you go to the cross, getting ready to be scourged are you filled with love, joy, peace? If so, then that is not your flesh, that is the Spirit. The flesh is not long suffering, it is not gentle it is not meek. These actions are contrary to fulfilling the lusts of the flesh. The flesh wants vengeance, it wants to cause pain, it wants revenge.

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

When people see that you have crucified the lusts of the flesh, that any other person would retaliate, that is a powerful testimony.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

The two go hand in hand. If you walk by the Spirit you will be filled with life and peace. Since you are filled with life and peace when you walk by the Spirit that encourages you to continue walking by the Spirit because the Christian life goes from one cross to the next.

26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Again, you can live by the gospel, the New testament makes it clear that if you are full time in the ministry it is OK to have the ministry cover your daily needs. But I have chosen not to do that and the reason is simple, it makes absolutely no difference to me if ten people read this blog or if ten thousand do. I am not trying to please man. It is pointless to envy me or for me to envy anyone else. I am doing what I was called to do. As long as the Lord wants me to do this I will and when He says to stop I'll stop. Our only concern should be that when the Lord returns that He will find faith on the earth.

More Reasons for a High Watch on April 4th for the Rapture Resurrection Event!

2nd Passover is for those who missed first passover. I don't believe those raptured prior to the tribulation missed first passover, however, for those left behind this could be a very significant foreshadowing for them.

What we do know is that prior to Passover Lazarus was raised out of the dead. Then Jesus went to the cross and all the genuine believers have abode in the death of Christ during the Church age, three days and nights. However, 3 days and nights does not mean 72 hours. Jesus died at the very end of the first day, spent the entire 24 hours of the second day in the tomb, spent the entire night of the third day in the tomb and rose early in the morning on the third day. So maybe an hour of the first day, and 12 hours of the third day for a total of 37 hours. That is less than 48 hours. So a thousand years is as one day to the Lord, the church age can be less than 2,000 years from the cross to the rapture. But then the rapture would be the resurrection, like Lazarus that is raised from the dead, that precedes 2nd Passocer, the salvation experience for those left behind.

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

God has spoken well of us and given us every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies, the proper response is to speak well of Him and bless Him.

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Let people know, you aren't Satan's B***h. God chose you, it isn't simply that you chose Him, He chose you first. Not to be a joke, not to be a punchline, but to be Holy and without blame before Him in love! Satan is a liar, some people think that could never be true for them, let them know it can be.

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

God has a plan for each one of us. Adoption here refers to being made into someone who takes over the family business. God's business involves all people on this earth, your experience is unique, it gives you a very specific perspective on some of those people. God saving you out of that sinful world is your training to go and help others in the same condition. It is God's good pleasure to be a savior. Let people know, they don't have to live according to Satan filled with hate and plotting revenge on people for every little sleight.

6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

When you live according to the good pleasure of God's will it causes people to give glory to God's grace. It is when you are living according to that grace that you are made accepted in the beloved. That is God's good pleasure that we would choose to live in Jesus Christ, the beloved.

Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

When you are in Christ you have redemption. We don't use that term very much today, but if you were a slave in the deep south someone would have to pay the slave owner for you before you could be free. That is called redemption. There is a price that has to be paid for sins, maybe you stole something, you have to pay it back with interest. According to the Bible you have to pay it back double, and depending on the situation maybe as much as five times what you stole. The Lord has redeemed you with His blood, there is nothing you could have done which is worth more than His blood. So if you have been redeemed your friends who know about your sins will wonder how you can be forgiven of your sins. Since the Lord blessed you with this you should in turn speak well of the Lord to them. Let them know about forgiveness and being free from bondage that results from sin.

8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

The Lord has abounded towards you with the riches of His grace, but He isn't foolish. He doesn't cast His pearls before swine. He abounded towards you in all wisdom and prudence. We were like drug addicts to sin. Perhaps you want to help a drug addict get clean. First thing is you need to remove him from his old neighborhood. Think of being saved as slowly climbing up out of a pit. It is much easier for a hundred sinners to pull you down than it is for you to pull one of them up. When you are baptized, and when you take the Lord's table these are a testimony to the demons and fallen angels that you now belong to Jesus and they cannot touch you. As long as you are separated unto the Lord and confess and repent when you fall, you will be protected. Now you can increase the sanctification by spending time in the word, in prayer, and in fellowship. Think of this as painting wood with a protective coating. Jesus said we are sanctified in His word. Instead of crying about "Satan attacking you" focus on being fully covered with a protective coating each day. Even five minutes in the word of God in the morning can have a huge impact on your day.

9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

What is the mystery of His will? God wants to transform people who were dead in sins into sons of God accepted in His sight. That is the good pleasure of God's will. That was a mystery to Satan, he did not know God as a savior. He had no idea the Lord would shed His blood to save us and redeem us. When you are saved it just exposes Satan as having been a fool.

10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

Jesus is gathering all things into Him. Satan tries hard to compete with rock concerts and all the pagan things he does, but year by year you can see more and more people getting saved and being gathered to the Lord. Saving people is better than hating them.

11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

When you are saved, when you are sanctified, separated unto the Lord and have grown in grace you learn you have also obtained an inheritance. Your gifts will be manifested. Truly it is up to you, pursue the Lord more, like the Bible says, everywhere the soul of your foot touches will belong to you.

12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Once you believe in the Lord and receive His blood as your redemption and forgiveness of sins, then you are sealed with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is given to you. We walk and live in a very dangerous world inhabited by Satan, demons, fallen angels, sinful people, etc. You may not see the danger you are in but the Holy Spirit does. So you need to listen to Him. I can think of at least five times that I know of where the Holy Spirit delivered me from harm. Most of the time I don't realize it until afterwards, but one time I realized I was trapped, about to be jumped, and who knows what was about to happen. I was praying according to that promise that "with every temptation God will provide a way out". Sure enough that is what happened, I had to follow the Holy Spirit's directions precisely and immediately.

If we are honest the bad things that happen to us did so when we ignored the Holy Spirit. I remember the worst thing that ever happened to me, and I was asking God why He allowed it and He told me He had warned me and I had ignored that warning. That was true. At that point you have to own it, confess, repent and move on. When you fall into a pit it can be very difficult to crawl out, but again, the Holy Spirit will guide you after you have confessed and repented. Do not go around blaming God when you know in your heart God warned you and you ignored that warning.
