Target failed big time in Canada, filing for bankruptcy after losing 1.8 billion dollars

I heard about that. From what I read, they tried to open their stores in buildings that were something else before. Out here all the Targets were built from scratch.

Really simple: Target opened a few dozen stores in Canada, but couldn't get their supply chain act together, so they failed miserably and lost about $1 billion.

There is no Target within 300 miles of me. Meanwhile, there are about 15 Wal-Marts within 300 miles.

Target is less crowded and Walmart is a bit less expensive.

You never know what you will see at Walmart. :p

Walmart all the way. Good prices and you're likely to get entertained by the crazies.

I got to target about once every 2 months.

Neither.....I do not feel safe at Target and do not agree with what they stand for and Walmart does not treat their employees well. I only go there if I can't find what I need at my usual stop

Wal-Mart for basic stuff - deoderant, toilet paper, a new broom, whatever.

A real grocery store for food.

(Assorted places online) for stuff I really depend on - shoes, computers, a new phone, earbuds, etc.

No Target close to us. Guess nobody hit the Target.

What's your usual stop? And why dont u feel safe at target?

Out here, target is like where all the hipsters with lots of disposable income shop and walmart is where sometimes you see scary people shop. I don't even like being in the walmart parking lot because there are sometimes beggars hanging out there and they will come up to you as you're walking to your car.

Walmart, I love it! :p

I like Target too...but Walmart is way better. I can get anything I need at Walmart. At Target, I feel like there is less variety.

Target is nicer, Walmart is cheaper. Target is cleaner, Walmart has more variety. But I like thrift stores the best! You can get designer clothing & shoes, and high end kitchenware & home products for cheap.

Looks like they're just in the midwest, think of a smaller version of wal-mart with a fairly good grocery section and you're probably pretty close.
