I hate them and I don’t use the word ‘hate’ lightly or frequently.
This is one of those cases where I do.

I realize that this is a personal preference but to me it just seems stupid to paint your own body.
Leaving aside that this has become a trend where people are neither sailors or soldier but city dwellers, it’s simply absurd to me to paint my own body with ink.
Why? I’m fine the way I am. I don’t need any “add-ons”.

We are no longer under the old testament, Jesus was clear, ALL THINGS are new in Him.
I have not and will not as I am no longer my own, I am His, and walking out the guidance and direction He gives before He calls me home.
Saw too many tattoos working in corrections, the word then was 1 or 2, and sometimes maybe 3, and you don't have to be concerned, over that you need to be aware there maybe be psychopathic personality. Seeing how many police get all tattooed up brings to mind how people who seek jobs with power over others is another RED FLAG, we are to mirror Christ who came not to be served but to serve, and give His life a ransom for many.
blessings:)(y)

Do you have any? Are they religious in nature? How do you feel about them in general and do you feel they are sinful?/morally unacceptable?
I do not have a tattoo but I do not fault anyone who has one or more. Now the law, from the which we are now freed, says not to mark the body. For those who have them, as long as you are content with them, I think you will be just fine. God bless you.

Freed from the law, but not from obedience. We are to take ALL THINGS to Him for His guidance, and then walk it out.
I have yet to hear of anyone who was directed by Jesus to practice self mutilation.

It was written in the old testimate to not get tattoos. You have tattoos, I would not worry about this, as I really doubt God is going to condemn anyone for having one. God's commandments are to love people, and not hate them.

Oh yes, there is scripture in the new testament about following rules or laws or regulations. This is just so you can be at peace with those people. For example right now in modern times tattoos are seen as something to not have. But you already have the tattoo, I would not worry about this, except adding new ones. And I want to say on this note, I thought about getting a tattoo, but I changed my mind.

Also, most tattoo art is about demonic things.

I did get a piercing, and I thing this too is something that is written in the old testament. It was a spider bite on my lower left lip. I had to take the studs out because it really started to bother me before it healed all the way. I still would like some piercings, just not in the mouth again. That will be the last time I ever do that.

It used to be forbidden in the church, to have your ear pierced, but it changed after looooong time in history.

Did you know that having a tattoo can still in these modern times, stop you from getting a job at a bank?

no tattoos. leviticus 19:28 teaches no print on thy skin. to me, tattoos are disgusting. people follow suit so easy. someone gets a tattoo, most everyone else gets 1. it only takes 1 to get started. in fact, years ago, i established a rule for dating; "no girl with a tattoo". not can merge into rituals, evil practices & so forth.

What the...?

I don't personally consider tattoos to be the wisest thing one can do, but I know a lot of people who have tattoos, and offhand I can't think of one single person's tattoo I know of that is demonic.

Maybe it's because I live in Southwest tennessee. Maybe tattoos in general are a lot more demonic wherever you live.

I remember one lady who was at a Chinese restaurant one time, reading the menu, and there was some Chinese writing in an elegant script. She was so impressed with how it looked that she got it tattooed on her forearm.

Only after she got it permanently etched on her skin did she find out that, roughly translated, it meant "cheap, but good."

I don't see anywhere that hate came into this discussion....

This might be true, as the crime rate is really high here. It's a dangerous place to live.

Women with tattoos?
Uggghhhhh....

Hate to tell you ladies, guys prefer ladies without tattoos. And I TRIED to explain this to my Sister who is still seeking a husband but can't find one. But she got her feelings hurt.

I get it....for some people they are an identity thingy. But it really does not define you except for the associated psychosis surrounding getting them.

Same thing with guys. Where women dont really care, but you are giving away secrets about yourself when you get one. The biggest being about your confidence and nervous tension levels.

Call it double standards all you want. But thems the facts.

lots of assessment there. i assent. also, people following suit so easily by desiring attention. that's 1 of the biggest issues too.

I have none and I'm against them. Never saw one I liked in any way, shape, or form. I don't think tats are a sin, just a foolish thing to do - marring God's wonderful creation with something ugly.

I researched the origins of tattoos and body piercings a long time ago and learned that they were used mostly by polytheistic cultures.

The only Biblical references I can think of are in Revelation. It's about the 144,000 from Israel's tribes.

14:1And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Zion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

22:4And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

7:3Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. 4And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
