You shouldn't be surprised. You're a rather wise and sometimes opinionated cat. But it's hard not to feel strongly about people self destructing under their own stupidity (which is how a lot of bad relationships end up).
I was pleasantly surprised and glad you expressed your input on these matters. Thank you. Yes, no one would stay if all it is a what's in it for me mindset, I agree.

I was just going to say what a poster above said. Dating and timing is much different at age 54 than it was at 24. Things are much more intentional and deliberate.
We have no idea of what our futures hold, but God does. If seeking Him, He will provide the answers we seek as well as the skills and opportunities to get there.

Sorry the only secular umbrella song I know is from the 60's or so. I think it was the beatles but I'm not even sure of that (nope youtube says it was the Hollies- strangely enough I've never heard of them though I've heard at least one of their songs).
