Definitely there are ghosts - after all, Jesus 'gave up the ghost' and He gave us the Holy Ghost. aka known as the Holy Spirit.

Animals are very sensitive - they DO have extra sensory perception or ESP for short. Dogs can hear better than humans and cats can see in the dark. So what we can't detect, they can.

What I love about animals is they can do things us mere humans can't, and it all comes naturally to them. They have natural balance because they have tails. Birds can fly. Gods creatures were created first before humans - we were last. I suppose we like to think we are the pinnacle of existence...but actually we are far down the ladder lol

A whale could swallow us whole. Animals can outrun us and outswim us. They can camouflage and they have a natural covering. Us humans when we are naked are ashamed.

Lambs are sacrificed for us. We need to have a healthy respect for God's creatures, not this kill everything, ruin their habitats, poison them nonsense.

Animals fear us and dread us because of our sin.

I don't think animals actually need smartphones, their intel and communication systems are way more advanced than ours.
Ships eating whales? That's a new one on me.

Where are these ships that eat whales. I thought humans ate whales back in the day when they had no other food and refused to eat the millions of other fish in the sea, that was in better bite-sized portions.

When I was a preteen, I came across a series of books in which 4 ghosts became friends and were trying to solve the mysteries behind their deaths. I can't remember the exact title or author, as I've been trying to find them again, but alas, I've only found other series with similar concepts.

Thanks so much for the link to the book finder site. I wound up not having to use it, but I bookmarked the link for future reference.

I was finally able to find the book series when I also typed in that it's from the 80's (I was guessing that this was about when I was reading them.)



This was a whole series with 6 titles (or least, that's what I found listed. )

You'll need to look for this specific author, as you'll get many other hits for other things also called Ghost Squad.

I was delighted to hear that your daughter found these plots points interesting. However, I haven't read them since my original run back in the 80's -- I was looking over a summary and had to chuckle when it says this group of ghosts finds a way to communicate with a living person THROUGH A COMPUTER. The emphasis was a bit ground-breaking at the time, because computers were just starting to be seen in homes and schools for the first time. But they soon partner with human allies to start solving mysteries.

I can't remember which book mentions animals seeing ghosts, and I'm not sure if your daughter will be impressed by some of these old-fashioned concepts, seeing as it seems to be very much a product of the time, but if she does read them, please let me know what she thinks!
