Today many people's seems waiting the coming of the Antichrist, even though, if we study the Bible, we may learn, that there is not such a thing like the Antichrist, instead the Scriptures tell's that there will be time of the antichrist's and that time of the antichirst's was predicted to happen in a time when the temple of Jerusalem was ruin, by Roman empire around year 70 A.D.

15. When therefore ye see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him that readeth understand), 16. then let them that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains: 17. let him that is on the housetop not go down to take out things that are in his house: 18. and let him that is in the field not return back to take his cloak. 19. But woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days! 20. And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on a sabbath: 21. for then shall be great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever shall be. 22. And except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. 23. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is the Christ, or, Here; believe it not. 24. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. (Matthew 24:15-24)

That abomination of desolation seems to be the Roman army in ground of Jerusalem, in year 70 A.D, and it seem that, this was the active time of the antichrit's or false people's, who claim that they are the Christ.

18. Little children, it is the last hour: and as ye heard that antichrist cometh, even now have there arisen many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last hour. 19. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they all are not of us. (1 John 2:18-19)

But sure, today some one may claim to be Christ, but I believe that the main time was back then.

This waiting of the Antichrist causes, that people's do not want to see that the big delusion is already here right now.

Do not deceive your selves

A dash is fine, as long as one does not claim that Christ has already Returned for His Bride.

Or, like some, believe we are in the peaceful bliss of the thousand year reign of Christ on earth.

There already has been, and there still are many antichrists, antichrist is a spirit that works in many deceivers.

To the OP...deceive ourselves? Hmm?
Lets go.......the old "abomination that causes "desolation " spoken by Daniel?

IMO, l'd try a search on the words "let the reader understand"
Take those key verses and apply it to history of what might fit it....add faith and trust to realize/believe that it may indeed be the correct interpretation.
No confusion on God's part....ever.

The "Holy Place".
Israel's history....add a bit of logic, and once again-documented history, the rest of the Bible's perfect flow....and you'll get your answer.
I think?

Doesn't sound like anything Roman? Right?
Faith is the most important ingredient to this.

The OP needs to take their own advice as they have become deceived by the heretical fallacy of full preterism and are now unfortunately propagating it.

Read this eleven part series by Dr. Thomas Ice of the Pre-Trib Research Center at Dr. John Ankerberg's website to understand why the OP's preterist false assertions fail:

Faith is the most important ingredient to this.

I do not follow you now, but I see that you do not agree with that, that the Roman army is the abomination of desolation.

But if we study the Scriptures.

20. But when ye see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that her desolation is at hand. 21. Then let them that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains; and let them that are in the midst of her depart out; and let not them that are in the country enter therein. 22. For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23. Woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days! for there shall be great distress upon the land, and wrath unto this people. 24. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led captive into all the nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. (Luke 21:20-24)

Here above we can see that our dear brother Luke writes about the same situation, as our dear brother Matthew in next part.

(Matthew 24:15-21)

The Roman army was the army which destroyed the Jerusalem, and our dear brother Matthew writes that as the abomination of desolation, like in the prophecy which has come to the prophet Daniel.

31. And forces shall stand on his part, and they shall profane the sanctuary, even the fortress, and shall take away the continual burnt-offering, and they shall set up the abomination that maketh desolate. (Daniel 11 :31)

Not necessarily, antichrist is not mentioned as a single individual man in scripture, but a spirit working in many. Also the "man of sin" Paul spoke of is said to work in "them, they, they all" meaning more than one. The word man used in Revelation and in Pauls writings is "anthropos", strongs number G444 which can mean "man" or "men" plural.

Bible usage...
a human being, whether male or female
  1. generically, to include all human individuals

Context dictates an individual.....I will not argue with you.....if you want to deny a single individual and the person pronouns used and the context that dictates that it is a single individual then have a ball! And where do you see the words anti-Christ in my post?

Antichrist is actually a spirit that fills many people past, present and future. The beast of Revelations is thought to be the full and final embodiment of this spirit.

But the bigger problem is prophetic interpretation. God's word is eternal. finite events are not. So while one event may seem to fulfill prophecy it doesn't then render the prophecy moot. A great example of this is the tribulation. God's prophecy says there will be tribulation. And indeed there has been. but that doesn't mean there won't be more. In fact, prophecies show that tribulation will not just accompany us but grow to unknown heights in the end. It's the same with the antichrist. There have been and will be people possessed of the antichrist spirit. This will culminate in the final overwhelming embodiment of that spirit in one person.

Prophecy is like a snowball rolling downhill... it's fulfillments get bigger and bigger until the final crash.

It is your mind that dictates "it" is an individual man, not the scriptures. The Holy Spirit is also shown as "HE", and we know "He" works in many disciples of the Lord, just as the spirit of antichrist works in many deceivers. So you have the Spirit of Truth working in many, and you have the spirit of a lie (antichrist) working in many. Notice the Holy Spirit (Spirit of Truth) is also shown as "he" and "him" but yet works in many.

John 16:7-8[SUP]7 [/SUP]Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

But believe what you will D-Con. :)

Or, like some, believe we are in the peaceful bliss of the thousand year reign of Christ on earth.

you are mistaken. we do not believe that we are in a period of bliss, except as bliss for Christians. But we do believe that we are in the period when the martyrs and dead believers live and reign with Christ above (Rev 20.4-5), whilst we live and reign with Him on earth Eph 2.5-6) as a consequence of His resurrection, the first resurrection. The New Testament Scriptures outside Revelation say nothing about a Millennium. Was Paul so dim that he never thought abut it? Was Peter prophetically blind? This suggests that we should interpret Rev 20 in line with the rest of the New Testament, especially as it speaks of SOULS being with Christ and says NOTHING about a reign on earth for dead saints. The truth is that they are reigning in Heaven.

But the converts of Darby are too brainwashed to see it LOL

Yeah I will...and I will also believe that a collective group cannot take a deadly would to the head and then stand back up again and start calling down fire from heaven.....with the use of the personal pronoun HIS deadly would was HEALED and all of the world wondered.....HIS<----if clear enough for me!

There is a definite man who will be identified as...

The Little Horn<--Daniel

which one, the one who arises on the Greek empire, or the one who arises in the Roman empire? little horn simply signifies a horn that is growing after the others.

The Man of Sin<---2nd Thessalonians

the man of sin has already risen and been dealt with. He represented successive Roman emperor 'gods'

The 1st Beast<---Revelation

The first beast was the Roman empire and its emperors.

The abomination that makes desolate<---Matthew, Mark and Luke

Luke makes quite clear that this occurred in 70 AD.

HE (personal pronoun) takes a head wound

Caligula

HE (personal pronoun) makes war against the saints<--Revelation

The Roman emperors followed by others

HE (personal pronoun) wears out the saints of the most high<--Daniel

same as above

He (personal pronoun) thinks to change laws, times and customs<--Daniel

same as above

He (personal pronoun) has a forerunner and type in Antiochus E.<---Daniel

same as above

The FALSE Prophet makes and IMAGE of the BEAST<--Revelation

the Roman priesthood did this for Caligula

The BEAST has an identifying number of a MAN<---Revelation

which no one knows the meaning of. probably signifies antichrist (Christos soter with a serpent in between)

All commencing fulfilment in 1st century AD :)

All wrong...try again......

The little horn/beast ALL make war with the saints and prevail against them for 3.5 years or 42 months or 1260 days ALL tied to the great tribulation of the end of the age......The rise of the MAN of SIN is tied to the apo-hystamie and the the END of the AGE...So...tell me...when did the 2nd Beast make the IMAGE of the 1st Beast and demand that all fall down and worship...when did they call down fire from heaven...when did they have everyone beheaded for refusal to take the mark? These things would be written in ROMAN history....they are NOT....

The 1st BEAST is the 12th IMAM of radicalized Islam, the GOD pushed and worshipped is ALLAH and the last POPE is the 2nd Beast/False Prophet......It all occurs at the end of the age yet future...albeit close at hand for sure!

Yes the book of Revelation is very symbolic but can be understood by scripture with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Just as the head wound was also prophesied from the beginning with the serpent,(aka Devil, Red Dragon) notice "it" will bruise the head of the serpent...

Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Dragon has 7 heads (heads of countries aka nations) also wounded....

Psalm 110:6
He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.

No offence but that does not jive with scripture......the devil is not defeated until the end of the age (completely) and then the final victory takes place at the end of the age when the last enemy shall be defeated which is death.......!

The definite article (the) points to what is known and is applied unto the MAN (singular) of SIN, THE (singular) BEAST and THE (singular) little horn......you can slice and dice all you want...at the end of the day the devil has been attempting to bring about himself worshipped in a MAN from the beginning (continually hindered by God as it was not yet time) and it will come to fruition and culminate at the end of the age when a MAN is possessed and taken over by the devil after a HEAD SHOT...HE WILL stand again and be worshipped as GOD just as the kings of the empires were that ruled over the Middle East and had dominion over the Middle East starting with Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome and what Rome culminates in which is the 10 horned beast of Revelation. The beast/little horn AKA anti-Christ (so called) will subdue three of the 10 horns unto himself, take control of the 10 horned beast and will establish the 8th and final kingdom that will exercise dominion over the Middle East which will be the 8th and final Kingdom, of the which Christ overthrows at his coming....

Why do you suppose Satan disputed over the body of Moses in Jude? Because he CAN possess and he will possess the body of who ever the MAN of SIN will be!

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
