What you may not have heard Fenner, is that Ann of Green Gables will only be showing on Canada's Netflix. So you will have to hack into Canada's elite web security (which means getting past two Canadian geese wearing bucket hats and holding pre-WW1 muskets while standing outside a building that says "Canada's Internet"), and then you can watch Ann of Green Gables.
But don't be scared of the geese Fenner, just shove a couple of maple-syrup covered crackers into their mouths and they will let you pass with no questions asked (it doesn't take much to bribe our geese!).

I happened to just glance at the title and thought, "Wait, hold up, Barney the Purple Dinosaur is a quarter Canadian??!!"

Descyple, I will have to continue buying black market copies of Anne of Green Gables from the Internet. Frankly sir your geese have major attitude problems and their poop is really disgusting. Those bipolar geese spend all Summer and like most tourists , as soon as there is the slight mention of snow they run south, leaving all their crap behind for us to clean up.

Fenner, if you ever want more copies of Ann of Green Gables on VHS, just let me know, because here in Canada that is all we have (dvd's haven't been invented here yet). In fact, if you ask the average Canadian to give the definition of "dvd" they will assume it's a venereal disease!!!

Well that explains the encounter I had with a Canadian tourist visiting my city last weekend. I was walking my dog by Lake Erie in our state park called Presque Isle. A nice older gentleman said, Hello it's a lovely day, Eh. Yes sir I said. Where are you from? Ontario Canada, he said. Well, I said, I hope you're enjoying your stay. Oh yes indeed I'm enjoying this more than a Tim Horton's glazed donut. But can you tell me where I can rent a video? Oh yes, I said, there's a Redbox up the road about two miles from here. What's a Redbox?, he asked. You can rent DVD's. What!? He said, DVD's, are you the type of woman that likes DVD's and would share them? Well sure I guess I can give you one since you're not from around here. Then he ran away. I wondered why he acted so frightened.
Is it bad that my brain immediately went to the Murdoch Mysteries episode with Tesla. With Constable Crabtree dreaming about a future where every house had a room dedicated to using microwaves to cook potatoes?

It never ceases to amaze me how little Americans know about Canada. I have seen dear Americans cross the border with skis, looking for the snow...in JULY!!!
Whereas we study American History and Geography in school, our dear friends to the south do not..unless they are Homeschooled and study Canada a a Foreign Country choice.
Anyway....I laugh at this thread, and how few Canadians are on it. Not sure if that is good or bad. Either we are all happily married, and have no need of a Canadian dating site, or we are too shy to admit the fact.
I am neither.
I am not married, and not too shy to say that I have had just about enough of this singles thing. Valentines is getting really boring.
Bonus points for you, if you have any idea what my picture is about (not "aboot"..we do not say that!!)

)Skiing in July does sound rather naive! I remember friends driving into Canada with Texas plates on the car, and having the border patrol NOT BELIEVE them when they insisted that they had no guns in the car.
Yes, a Texan who doesn't own a gun OR a horse. I don't know how this even happened!

Sad that you had to explain that this thread was a joke. Although, I liked the slip in of the superiority of Canadian education compared to American education. That was super classy. Just another fine day here at CC.
This thread is a joke for sure. I really don't make it my life to seriously offer Canadian dating. But sorry you were offended. I did take geography in and school and do realize that Canada doesn't typically have snow in July. I live in a city that a large number of Canadian's visit for retail shopping. I have seen my share of some rude behavior, luckily I realize that not all Canadian's will haggle with a manger at Kohl's Department store over a few dollars. But most of us Merican's are nice educated people who have a good sense of humor.
Oh you poor thing, you should start a serious Canadian dating thread. I think you should start one in every forum so the people of CC know that the Canadian's are taking over.
