Shame on you people! C'mon, let's hear some condemning. I'm having withdrawals without my hourly fix of damnation.

Please direct us to evidence that Wommack, Virgo and George were teaching Prince's errors before he did. For example, the 1 John 1:9 lie, not necessary to pray for forgiveness, repentance not necessary, etc.

Do you beat your wife much??

Willie...this is for you!....REPENT

There is a delusion, that grace has not been preached since Christ rose? It has but in proper balance with obedience and walking.

The problem with not answering theological or logical constructs of models, is you actually accept defeat.

I am happy that you capitulate so easily, but I know that actually you just do not know how to answer, because the process of answering will change your experience, which you literally refuse to do.

It is this kind of rebellion that keeps you imprisoned in your lives and thought processes.
This is not what Jesus called us to face in "I am the truth"

Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
Mark 13:11

No one could say a word in reply, and from that day on no one dared to ask him any more questions.
Matt 22:46

Be careful who you are arguing against. If it is the word of the Lord, take heart and listen, for He means you no harm.

The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.
1 Tim 4:1-2

Does your conscience matter? Above everything else your conscience is you barometer of where you stand.
Jesus cleanses our consciences of the stain of sin.

Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
Heb 10:22

I speak the truth in Christ – I am not lying, my conscience confirms it through the Holy Spirit –
Rom 9:1

Your conscience is your barometer of how you are walking with Jesus.
Paul was very conscious of the importance of adjusting your behaviour not to upset the conscience of another christian.

When you sin against them in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ.
1 Cor 8:12

Any teacher or person sharing which down plays or condemns listening to your conscience is as Paul would describe
"Such teachings come through hypocritical liars."

He links such ideas to "deceiving spirits and things taught by demons."

Look into the spiritual background of such people and their emphasis is very much on visions, spiritual encounters with beings other than the Holy Spirit, and doctrines and ideas spoken from these spiritual sources.

POO! ... Legalism is like poo ... when you step in it, you can smell it 10 feet away, and you wont step in it again ... goodbye :)

You are wrong. (sorry for being direct but I am just reading scripture as it is put forward)

Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.
Acts 13:38-39

Belief or faith sets you free from every sin, which is not possible any other way. Jesus does not wash away sin other than by faith in Him.

When Paul talks about Jesus dying for everyone this is a shortened version of Him saying access to forgiveness is available to everyone, not it is actually applied to everyone. It is that straightforward.

Paul is writing as he does because he would not believe you could create such a concept or theology from his words, but that is what you have done.

It is an abstraction of reality and completely disconnecting the individual from guilt over their sin, and how sin is bound to the heart of the sinner. It is why people cannot have fellowship with God, it is not some odd washing or mystical thing that happens when they die to make it possible. The more we talk about different models the clearer it becomes to me.

Woah, wait, faith in Christ sets us free from EVERY sin?

I think you're getting this Grace thing, Peter! That's what we've been trying to get across!

We seem to be making some progress here!

Right. Forgiveness offered must be forgiveness received to be applied. No argument there. We are not, nor have we ever been, teaching universalism. The OP makes that clear (you did actually read the OP?).

I think Paul did have it in mind, that's why he made clear that we must believe in Christ to receive the free gifts of Forgiveness, Righteousness, and New Life. Completely clear in Paul's writings.

I'm not sure what that above part of your quote was suppose to mean, but regarding "disconnecting the individual from guilt over their sin" I do know the Scriptures say this:

19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22
let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. (from Heb. 10)

What you said is not clear; what Scripture says is clear. So thankful for the Scriptures \o/!

Somehow you have a polarised view of everything I am saying. Either I am a grace believer your way or I am a legalist.

Guess you missed the bit about me agreeing with most of your above post. Can't win with you, Pete.

I am a grace believer, but that grace and love is accepted believer by believer. It has not washed the whole of mankind clean. What you are talking about is mysticism.

Yes, accepted sinner by sinner, turning them into believers.

Christ's Blood, however, was ENOUGH to take away not only our (believers') sins, but the sins of the whole world:

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. (from 1 John 2)

My sin has effects on me. It is that which Jesus died to put right. He washes me clean because of my faith.
He washes you clean because of His MERCY. You enter into what He has done by faith.

My faith is a gift of God, because He chose me. The cross shows me the ultimate price of my rebellion, my attempts at life, my failures and also says it does not matter, it is not your fault. It is odd the idea I blame myself for failure when without God I will always fail no matter how hard I try.

But with God I will always succeed in righteousness. That is true love at work in me. He took away the pain, the hurt, the damage done by life and others, and makes me whole, able to walk, a little better each day. In His family I am safe, I can trust Him implicitly.

Starting again to sound like one of those dasterdly Hyper-Gracers . . .

Paul said the law was given to sinners, because sinners do not walk in righteousness.
As saints we fulfill the law so have no condemnation as we are no longer failures by it.

You're almost there. We aren't under the Law because we are righteous in Christ, not because we fulfill the Law. We are not condemned by the Old Covenant because we have entered into the New Covenant by faith.

But it appears the law condemns you every day, because you know you sin, but wish to ignore it, rather than deal with it.
That is called rebellion against God.

And here you go off the rails - the punchline attempting to misrepresent the Grace position once again. You attempt also to avoid slander by saying 'it appears', but your intent is clear. And it's still slander . Or maybe just gossip. Hmmm . . . is there much difference, really?

You create an elaborate theology to excuse this so judgement is about only good works, and not sin. Now I hope you are happy with this, because your soul is not, and you know who is going to loose this delusion.

I didn't create anything. The Gospel is simple and straightforward - so that a child can understand.

Both my spirit and my soul are content being in Christ, my Rock and my Redeemer \o/!

What can I say? You got it going on Sister. Blessing to have you here.

This is why I like CC. go to any other forum and we may find one or two grace believers and they are warned and on the verge of being banned.

Grace believers are not the majority here, but there are quite a few. Nice to see, I haven't found it to be that way in any other forums. The Grace believers are the first to get the boot and lucky if there are 1 or 2.

27 And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, 28
so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him. (from Heb. 9)

-JGIG

Good verse, but it only applies to those who believe in Jesus.........

It does not apply to the unbelievers and disobedient or you make a contradiction in the word, because that is exactly what Gods wrath and the judgment after the 2nd Resurrection is about. Plus that is a bad translation because the original says "apart from sin" not "not to deal with sin."
