So you look down on Sunday? The day that Jesus Christ rose from the dead. (Matthew 28:1)

In Leviticus 23:5-11, Look at verse 11: "'And he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord for you to be accepted; on the day after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.'" The day after the Sabbath is Sunday. Read on specifically looking at Leviticus 23:15 - "'You shall also count for yourselves from the day after the sabbath, from the day when you brought in the sheaf of the wave offering; there shall be seven complete sabbaths. You shall count fifty days to the DAY AFTER THE SEVENTH SABBATH; then you shall present a new grain offering to the Lord.'" This is the Feast of Pentecost. It was one of the compulsory feasts of Israel.

Note on the day of Pentecost, a Sunday God's people were commanded to worship. God says, "On this same day you shall make a proclamation as well; you are to have a holy convocation. You shall do no laborious work. It is to be perpetual statute in all your dwelling places throughout your generations." (Leviticus 23:21). :)

No distinction is made by God between these holy days and the weekly Sabbath. He also includes them as holy. This would mean that under the old covenant the First Fruits Sunday and the Pentecost Sunday were also holy.

Burial - Matt 27:57 "as evening approached", Mark 15:42 "It was Preparation Day (The Next day was a high day, an annual Sabbath) So as evening approached", Luke 23:54 "It was Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was about to begin", (Same reference to the High Day or annual Sabbath not the weekly 7th day Sabbath.) John 19:42 "Because it was the Jewish Day of Preparation..." Jesus was buried as evening approached before the next day began, because it was a High Day an annual Sabbath.

Resurrection - Matt 28:1-6 (1) ... at dawn on the first day of the week (6) He is not here he has risen (this statement is in the past tense, already done. It does not imply he rose Sunday morning.) Mark 16: 1-6 (6)"...He has risen" (States the same thing, past tense already done.) Luke 24:1-6 (6)"He is not here, but is risen ... " (States the same thing, past tense) John 20:1-16 (1) Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark (all the information given in John)

Q. If Crist was buried in the evening just before sunset and for exactly 3 days (72hrs) how did he rise in the morning?

Christ was place in the tomb on the 4th day of the week a Preparation Day in the evening just before sunset because the following day was a High Day / Annual Sabbath, so they rested on the 5th day of the week. On the 6th day of the week, they gathered the ointments and herbs and all they needed. The 7th day was the observance of the weekly Sabbath, so they rested. Three days and three nights would put his Resurrection on the 7th day in the evening just before sunset and the new day Sunday started. This is the way Scripture lays it out!

Leviticus 23:5-11 Just states when He wanted them to bring in the offering. Nowhere does is state or imply that the Sabbath had been changed. People gathered every day of the week even Sunday to break bread, to fellowship, to read and even preach the gospel, but that by no means change the day of the Sabbath. Show me just one instance where Jesus broke the Sabbath and labored not pertaining to good works. Show me just one instant where Jesus entered a Synagogue other than on the 7th day of the week to preach the gospel.

This late spring holy day must be counted. God instructs us to count 50 days from the day that the wavesheaf was offered. This explains why this day is commonly called Pentecost, which means "count fifty." The Sabbath (verse 15), the day after which we start to count, is not an annual holy day, but the weekly Sabbath that falls during Unleavened Bread. We know this because Pentecost must be counted every year. If this Sabbath were an annual Sabbath, Pentecost would always fall on a fixed date. It always falls on the same day of the week—the first day, Sunday—because one begins to count on a Sunday.
So, what does this have to do with changing the day of Worship or the Sabbath?

I agree, every day is holly in that we should praise, honor, worship and glorify God, but God himself set one day apart from the rest and blessed it, sanctified it and hallowed it and that day is the sabbath, the 7th day of the week the day God rested from all his work.

God did not change the day we should honor him man did starting with the Protestant Reformation, then Constine and then The Roman Catholic Church

It is fair game to pass judgment on your ideas. If you feel judged personally when your ideas are judged, perhaps you are too invested in them.
I'm not judging anyone I'm just posting what I believe in. I'm not upset at anyone for responding to any of my post. I like the insite even if I do not agree.

You have a blessed Sabbath day, Danny.

What is wrong with us that believe in keeping the Sabbath. This forum is for posting one's thoughts and opinions. I do not see it as arguing and am sorry that you do. There are two sides to every coin but it's still the same coin, meaning we may not agree in a lot of issues, but I think we can all agree its God that matters, and we worship him each of us in our own believes the best we can.

if you wish or feel lead to keep it, then that is fine.

but, if you think in any way that keeping it or not keeping it has anything to do with your salvation, than that is very dangerous.

the only thing that will save you is 100% trust and faith in Christ. if you are in any way depending on anything else, you will not make the Kingdom.

Christ and only Christ. not Sabbath, not good behavior, Christ alone.

Amen! Their absolute obsession with the 10 commandments (with a heavy emphasis on the 4th commandment) demonstrates what they are really trusting in for salvation and it's not Jesus Christ alone. The Bible clearly states that we are saved by grace through faith, not works, (Ephesians 2:8,9) but for them it's salvation by grace plus law, faith plus works. Mixing the old and new covenants together remains their Achilles heel.

Ephesians 2:8-9

Who are you to judge, you are the one making accusations, as I see it you are breaking Gods Sabbath Commandment.
My accusation is based on the fact that Scripture does not say that Abraham followed the ten commandments.

How desperate you are to pretend Scripture actually says this, when it does not.

So desperate you are willing to continue bearing false witness, to prop up your assumption.

Rather, you should just admit the truth of the matter. Are you capable of that?

You show me Scripture where God had two sets of Commandments and Laws. That is a ridiculous argument.
Not an argument I made.

So, what do you say about the Sabbath being established at creation when God said He rested on the 7th day, that is the sabbath he is talking about and set it apart and blessed it, sanctified it and hallowed it. Is that not one of the Ten Commandments He was talking about?
I already said that it pointed forward to the rest we find in Christ.

Jesus worked on the Sabbath, and said His Father continues to work.

No, that does not mean I believe Jesus broke the law as you claimed.

Q: why are the Ten Commandments all throughout the NT?
Q: why is the Sabbath mentioned and observed 60 times in the NT?

Go to BibleTools.org and look up the Sabbath
Blessings, danny
I do not need to look anything up to know that the command to observe the Sabbath is not repeated in the NT.

I am happy to respond to your post with scripture, but it wasn't what we were discussing previously.

You made this statement:

2) The True Sabbath Also Resides In me

I have asked for scripture where it says the Sabbath is in us, instead of the commandment God gave. The scripture you previously posted on the Sabbath was about Sabbath-keeping the way God commanded.

There is no scripture that says this, otherwise I am sure you would have posted it.
You got me confused with someone else.. I did not make that statement that I remember
can you respond to what i said?

The Ten Commandments have been with God from Creation and will be with us on the New Earth "... and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship me, saith the Lord." (Isaiah 66:23) Moses did not write the ten Commandments; they were given to him by God. The Ten Commandments are not part of the Law of Moses or any part of the old Mosaic Law. "Do not think that I come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them" (Matt 5:17) The Sabbath is mentioned 60 times in the NT alone and all have to do with the 7th day Sabbath but on which refences an annual Sabbath. God made the Sabbath for all mankind (Mark 2:27). Jesus kept it (Luke 4:16), Paul kept it (Acts 17:2), and Gentiles kept it (Acts 13:42-44; 16:13) Several of the Ten Commandments are mentioned throughout the New Testament. God only set one day apart from the rest and blessed it, sanctified it and blessed it and that would be the 7th day of the week not the first.
Zec 14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

Isa 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
Isa 11:7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
Isa 11:8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.
Isa 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Zec 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Jesus and the saints will rule over the heathen that God spared at the battle of Armageddon, and they have to go up year after year to worship the LORD, and keep the feast of tabernacles, and keep the physical sabbath to be right with God.

They will be in the flesh, and cannot have salvation for they took the mark of the beast, so they have to keep the physical ordinances to be right with God.

They still have punishment coming but it is postponed until the millennial reign is over.

The saints have a glorified body, and are led of the Spirit so they cannot do wrong being as sinless as Jesus so they are not under the law for they are not breaking the law, and they do not have to keep the physical sabbath, or any physical ordinances for they are spiritual.

Isa 28:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
Isa 28:12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Col 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Col 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Isa 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

It is a spiritual sabbath, and the physical sabbath was only given for the Old Testament physical covenant with physical blessings.

Jesus took the physical ordinances of Israel out of the way for they were contrary to us which they had no bearing on spiritual salvation.

So let no person judge you concerning the physical ordinances including the sabbath days.

Jesus went away to prepare a place for the saints which is away from this earth, so this earth is not going to be renovated but it will be a new earth where sin has never been, and sin will never be.

The saints and angels will remember nothing prior to the New Jerusalem, and will feel they have always been there, and nowhere else.

The earth has been tainted with sin, and the heaven has been tainted with sin by the fallen angels, so they will be destroyed by fire which all sin is purged with fire.

Which the saints receive the Holy Ghost and with fire.

The Old Testament was to celebrate this earth, but Jesus went away to prepare a place so the saints celebrate that new earth.

Which when a person has the Spirit the kingdom of God is within them, and they are strangers on earth seeking a better home, so they belong to that new earth which is a spiritual sabbath of rest.

The Bible does state that Abraham obeyed God's voice, kept His charge, His commandments, His statutes, and His laws, but the specific charge, commandments, statutes, and laws that Abraham kept are not explicitly mentioned in the Bible. It's important to note that the Bible does not provide a comprehensive list of charges, commandments, statutes, and laws that Abraham kept. Therefore, you cannot say with certainty which specific laws Abraham kept so your argument is inconclusive.

So, although God's rest on the seventh day (Genesis 2:3) did foreshadow a future Sabbath law, there is no Biblical record of the Sabbath before the children of Israel left the land of Egypt. Nowhere in Scripture is there any hint that Sabbath keeping was practiced from Adam to Moses. You do not hear that Abraham, Isaac, or Jacob kept the Sabbath. It is not until after the God delivered the Israelites out of Egypt when they were safely on the other side of the Red Sea that you read in the Book of Exodus that the Sabbath is mentioned. (Exodus 16:22-30). Abraham was given commandments and ordinances, but the Sabbath is never mentioned as one of them.

Once again, notice in Deuteronomy 5:1-15 which gives the commandments to Israel. 2 The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb. 3 The Lord did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, those who are here today, all of us who are alive.

Also, in Nehemiah 9:13 - “Then You came down on Mount Sinai and spoke with them from heaven; You gave them just ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments. 14 “So You made known to them Your holy sabbath, and laid down for them commandments, statutes and laws, through Your servant Moses.

Faith in what? Obeying the 10 commandments (with a heavy emphasis on Sabbath keeping) for salvation? You seem to be thoroughly indoctrinated, if that's what you mean by grounded.

"Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws." (Genesis 26:5) well let's see, (1) Abraham obeyed his voice, God actually spoke to Abraham. (2) He walked with God, keeping charge stresses that we must assume full responsibility for the lives that God has granted us and live them in a way that honors him. (3) can't be much plainer than this, Abraham obeyed Gods Commandments, that is the Ten Commandments he is referring too. (4) My statutes are referring to Gods written law, on your hearts and minds. (5) Gods Laws - When we obey God’s instructions, we are keeping the commandments, and we will be saved. Religiously, a law is any instruction from God — that is, a law is a commandment or a set of commandments, as in the Ten Commandments.
The Miracle of Manna Reinforced the Seventh Day Sacredness
Every week during their 40 years in the wilderness, the Israelites witnessed a threefold miracle. This miracle intended to teach them the sacredness of the seventh day. A double amount of manna fell on the sixth day, nothing on the seventh. And the serving needed for the seventh day was preserved without getting spoiled. When if any were kept over at any other time it became unfit for eating.
What day of the week do you think they worshiped on before Moses? That is a ridiculous argument.
The Seventh Day Observance Instituted at Creation
It is well documented that they worshiped and honored God on the 7th day Sabbath. The Bible tells us that the seventh day observance was instituted at the very beginning of time – at creation. “And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made” (Genesis 2:2,3).
You Posted: Also, in Nehemiah 9:13 - “Then You came down on Mount Sinai and spoke with them from heaven; You gave them just ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments. 14 “So You made known to them Your holy sabbath, and laid down for them commandments, statutes and laws, through Your servant Moses.
The Sabbath was observed from Creation, and the bold type above states the same as (Genesis 26:5) confirming that the Sabbath was holly and one of the Ten Commandments.
The crucifixion- the Ten Commandments being repeated throughout the NT confirms they are still valid even today.
The Sabbath is mentioned and observed 60 times in the NT showing that it is still one of Gods Commandments we are to, how did he put it: Remember the Sabbath and keep it holly.

This is anachronism at its... silliest.

The ten commandments were given to Israel through Moses at Sinai, some 430 years after Abraham's encounter with God. While the text you cited tells us that Abraham obeyed, it doesn't specify "the ten commandments". You're making an argument that cannot be supported logically, let alone biblically.

There is nowhere in scripture saying that the Sabbath day has been changed.
God did not change the day we should honor him man did starting with the Protestant Reformation when they wanted to distance themselves from the Jews who were being persecuted by the Romans, so they changed their day of worship from the 7th day Sabbath to the 1st day of the week, note that they did keep the Sabbath then they changed it NOT God. Then Constantine who worshiped the Sun (is where we get Sunday from) actually made the first law implementing mandatory Sunday worship and banning Sabbath observance. and then The Roman Catholic Church has formed Sunday worship into what it is today. They actually state that Christians have no bases for worshiping on Sunday except explicitly by the authority of the church. They state that Sat. is the Sabbath, and they take credit for changing its observance to Sunday.
it is a very simple question, if the Ten Commandments and Sabbath have been done away with or just changed in some way WHY are they all throughout the NT?

The Perpetual Covenant

Exodus 31:13-16 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

  • The Sabbath is a sign, which is synonymous with mark or Seal.
  • The Sabbath is a perpetual covenant.
  • The Sabbath is to be kept throughout the generations.
  • God was speaking to Israel.
Who is Israel?

1. There is neither Jew nor Greek. All are one in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Colossians 3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
2. Gentiles are grafted into Israel.

Romans 11:13, 22-23, 25 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. ... Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again. ... For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
3. The apostles taught the Gentiles on the Sabbath. The Gentiles asked to be taught on the next Sabbath. The Gentiles observed the Sabbath.

Acts 13:42, 44 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.
Acts 17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
Acts 18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

  • The Sabbath was an integral part of the worship service and teaching by the apostles.
  • If Paul kept the Sabbath as was his custom (as his manner was), taught the Sabbath on the Sabbath then he did not contradict himself concerning the Sabbath anywhere in his writings (the verses Christians like to use to dismiss the Sabbath).
  • The Gentiles are Israel and are bound by the perpetual covenant of the Sabbath, to observe it and keep it holy.

The Pointing Backward and Forward

The Creation Account and Jesus' Own Words

Genesis 2:1-3 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Mark 2:27-28 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

  • God rested from creation, not because He needed to, but as an example for man.
  • God blessed and sanctified the seventh day as a day of rest because of creation.
  • Jesus became Lord of the Sabbath because it was made for man.
  • The account of Sabbath rest points back to creation, "And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made."
  • The account of Sabbath rest points forward to perpetuity.
    • Adam and Eve were created and placed in the garden of Eden with access to the tree of life which gives eternal life.
    • God made Adam and Eve on the sixth day, and rested on the seventh.
    • The Sabbath was made for man, which shows us that God rested with Adam and Eve as an example to them.
    • God would later reiterate the Sabbath as a perpetual covenant to Moses.
  • Jesus never relinquished the title of Lord of the Sabbath. In the statement He made He pointed back to creation, when the first Sabbath was observed.
The Law Spoken by God and Written in Stone—Twice!

Exodus 20:8-11 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

  • God points back to creation as the reason He commands that we keep it and the reason He hallowed it.
  • God points forward to perpetuity by telling us to remember what He knew we would forget.
End Time Observance

Matthew 24:20-22 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

  • Jesus points forward. The Sabbath day is being observed in the end time, pointing to its observance at a future time; further solidifying the perpetuity of the Sabbath.
  • Jesus points back to creation, to the beginning of the world.
  • The great tribulation.
    • The great tribulation Jesus is speaking of is on a world scale.
    • Jesus links the Sabbath with the great tribulation ("for").
    • The great tribulation affects all flesh.
    • The Sabbath is binding for all flesh, but the majority won't be keeping it.
The First Angel's Message

Revelation 14:6-7 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

  • Worship is the key issue of the end time.
    • The angel points forward calling for perpetual worship.
      • Fear God and give glory to Him.
      • Why? For the hour of His judgment is come.
      • Worship Him
    • The angel points back to creation as the reason for worship.
      • ...Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
    • There is only one event in creation that points to worship. The blessed and sanctified seventh day rest, made for man.
The Sabbath in Heaven

Isaiah 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

  • Isaiah points forward to perpetual osbervance of the Sabbath in the new heaven and new earth.
  • This is the new heaven and new earth being described. Isaiah is not pointing back to creation as the former world has passed.
Does God Change?

Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

  • God doesn't change.
  • Jesus doesn't change.

Conclusion

At no point in time in scripture do we find God's people not observing the Sabbath.
  • The Sabbath is being observed creation to Sinai.
  • The Sabbath is being observed from Sinai to Jesus.
  • The Sabbath is being observed from Jesus to the apostles.
  • The Sabbath is being observed from the apostles to the end time.
  • The Sabbath is being observed from the end time to the new heaven and new earth.
  • The Sabbath is being observed perpetually for eternity in God's kingdom.
Scripture repeatedly points back to creation concerning the Sabbath for a reason. It is the perpetual covenant of God, instituted at creation as a day of worship. It is a sign.

The first angel calls for worship because His judgment is come, and points to creation concerning worship where we find the seventh day rest, the Sabbath of the Lord thy God. None of this is coincidence. The Sabbath is magnified by its link to creation, as a memorial of creation, and the only worship day God commanded to remember, to keep holy.

Some of the weeks in the old testament had 8 days, so it had 2 sabbaths. Their month started on the first light of the new moon(when the first sliver of moon appears in the west after sunset) and they counted the days starting and ending in the afternoon until the next sliver of the new moon so some months had 29 days and the last would be counted as the 8th day of the last week. Just thought I'd through that in there.

My point being, Sunday or Saturday may or may not fall on the real Sabbath day of the week.

My point being, Sunday or Saturday may or may not fall on the real Sabbath day of the week.
that is made very clear in Scripture that the Sabbath is refering to the 7th day of the week. There is not one verse anywhere that refers the Sabbath to the 1st day of the week.
