Oh WoW !
You are saying here that "The Son" now has authority, while the Father doesn't ?
Please read what I just posted to Inquisitor above ... This same thing goes for YOU ...
The Father didnt lose His power; He used it to give the Son ALL authority in heaven and on earth, not just some. In John 5:22, Jesus explicitly says the Father judges no one but has entrusted ALL judgment to the Son. What do you not understand about the word ALL? The Father’s actual will is that we believe in the one He sent (John 6:29), and the Father’s own command was to Listen to Him.

By going back to the old stone tablets to find your rules, you are actually ignoring the Father's direct command to follow the Son. The sheep follow the Son's new commandment of love because they trust the King's total authority, while the goats are too busy with their own merit and checklists to realize they are being disobedient to the Father's current instructions.

Jesus the Son is speaking at Mt Sinai, Jesus is the Great I AM John8:58 that never came to destroy His own commandments as He stated so plainly, not a jot or tittle. Mat5:17-30 Why He taught, when we lay aside the commandment of God quoting from the Ten Commandments it makes the word of God void, it makes our heart far from Him and our worship to Him in vain. Mat15:3-14 Mark7:7-13 Listen and follow Jesus John6:46-48 He is the LORD of the Sabbath Mark2:28 our Creator Col1:16 Exo20:11 the only God we are called to worship Rev14:7

IOW e.g., Matt. 5:19 should be harmonized with John 13:34-35, Rom. 3:21-5:1 & Heb. 7:11-10:1.
Let me harmonize those verses, towards Obedience to God, rather than Disobedience, which you are attempting to do.

Matthew 5:19 teaches that the commandments are still to be obeyed, and those who teach others to do so will be highly regarded in the kingdom of heaven. It’s a call for faithfulness to God’s law while acknowledging that it must be kept in the spirit of Christ’s grace.

John 13:34-35 emphasizes that love for one another is a mark of a true disciple. This love is not just a feeling but an active principle that leads to obedience to God's commandments, especially those related to our relationship with others.

Romans 3:21-5:1 Romans highlights that justification comes by faith alone, not by works of the law. But this faith leads to a life of obedience, where the believer’s actions reflect the commandments, enabled by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Hebrews 7:11-10:1 Hebrews highlights that the ceremonial law, which was a "shadow," has been fulfilled in Christ. However, the moral law (expressed in the Ten Commandments) continues to be the standard for Christian living, even after Christ’s atoning sacrifice.

Harmonizing These Passages:

  1. The Role of Grace: The passages from Romans and Hebrews show that we are saved by grace through faith, not by the works of the law. However, this grace does not nullify the law; instead, it empowers us to live according to God’s commandments. This view, emphasizing that grace enables believers to obey the law, rather than being a replacement for it.
  2. Love as the Fulfillment of the Law: John 13:34-35 teaches that love for others is the key distinguishing trait of Christ’s disciples, and this love is the heart of the commandments. Jesus’ new commandment to love one another is not in conflict with the Ten Commandments but is the deep fulfillment of them, as love encapsulates all of God’s moral law. “Love is the basis of godliness. Whatever the profession, no man has pure love to God unless he has unselfish love for his brother”.
  3. Christ’s Example: Matthew 5:19 calls us to teach and keep the commandments, and this is possible through Christ, who both fulfilled and magnified the law. As believers, we are to live as Christ lived—obedient to God’s commandments, empowered by His Spirit, and motivated by love.
  4. The Moral Law Continues: While Christ fulfilled the ceremonial aspects of the law (as seen in Hebrews), the moral law—summed up in the Ten Commandments—remains the standard for Christian living. Salvation by grace is not an excuse for disobedience but a means to live a life that reflects God’s holy law.

who are functioning as False Prophets.
Says the guy who follows a false prophet.
Sister, !:-) You are right in the respect of my attitude is not altogether Christlike in my "Reproving, rebuking and exhorting" of which I confessed above as not being " done in a Christ-like character of deep humility, sorrowful love, and tender concern for the soul’s salvation — it is both loving and appropriate to explain to professed Christians (especially teachers or leaders)" who are functioning as False Prophets. I am doing this out of Love for Deno246, Mem, Psalm1, Inquisitor, Et Al ( as examples of False Prophets ) as fellow human beings, my neighbors of Matt 22:37. If I were being a false prophet, and / or having a spirit of Anti-Christ, I SURE WOULD WANT someone, anyone to point this out, to reproving me, for my souls sake ... Don't Ya Think ?

I need to pray for "greater repentance" and for less "self righteousness" and more "Christ Righteousness" This is the sanctification process, where we become less of ourselves (selfishness) and more Christ and His Righteousness dwelling IN US. Gal 2:20 The Holy Spirit is working mightily with me, I pray !!

Yet, My message of a warning to these people ( by calling them out as FPs ) and of having the spirit of Anti-Christ and false prophets, is still the same.

Thank you Sister for pointing out my unrighteousness, Twas needed and appropriate.

Kinda ironic that you call others false prophets for following the simple words of Jesus, yet you follow a human-made blueprint that treats the Holy Spirit like a math problem. You are actually the one following a false prophet by prioritizing a modern sanctuary code over the living voice of the King. Real sheep don't need a calculator or a checklist to find the Shepherd; they just know His voice and reflect His love.

For sure Jesus is officiating the Judgement NOW, in the heavenly sanctuary, as He was given this function / authority by the Father.
Jesus repeatedly saying that He did and is doing The Will of the Father, who's Authority Jesus kept and is keeping.
Remember ! Jesus is God as well as the Father,,, it's ALL the same authority, just difference in functions of the God Head, obedience to the Son is obedience to the Father... and they both have the same requirements for that obedience.

The fruit of the Holy Spirit IS our obedience, to the Will of the Father, as Christ showed us.
without obedience, there are no fruits of the Holy Spirit
without a person showing fruits, there is no evidence of indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit can & will only "fruit" obedience, which is the Character of Christ and His Righteousness.
The Holy Spirit is Perfection, Love, obedience to the Father's WILL, as Jesus was & IS NOW ! ... and forever shall be.

Come on !! Inquisitor! You can realize this ! The Holy Spirit is THE Spirit of Christ !!! Christ always did the Will of the Father. ( His Law )
Jesus, ALWAYS has the character of His Father, which is exemplified by His Commandments of Love, Love for Father God, the first 4 commandments, and love for our neighbors, the last 6 commandments. ( Matthew 22:37 ) Jesus and the The Father are one, one mind, of one accord, ALWAYS ! in harmony, synchronized in Love, synchronized in obedience, in no wise is there ANY disobedience, by Christ to His Father, EVER !

If you have the Holy Spirit IN YOU, Christ's Spirit, it will be evidenced by you being obedient & righteous, Christ being IN YOU, Gal 2:20
obedient = Righteous = the "right doing of Christ" manifesting thru you to the world. ( being an ambassador & disciple of Christ )
This is VERY simple logic (reasoning) very simple math, ( a=c. b=c :: a=b , a=b=c )

So ! From our many conversations, were you proclaim promote and teach, your misunderstandings, disobedience and un-righteousness, you are not exhibiting ( bearing fruit ) of the Holy Spirit of Christ.
By your teaching & preaching this Religion of Disobedience, and calling yourself Christian, this makes you a False Prophet, which I'm obligated by God, to expose and reprove, and to warn. Revelation 14:6-12

Please, Inquisitor, repent , and be baptized into a newness of life, into obedience to the God of Heaven, a new man ... come over to the winning side, in this battle for the souls of men, between Christ and His Angel and Satan and His Angles. I pray, Amen !

Acts 2:38
Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins,
( Disobedience ) and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." ( Reformation & Revival ) = ( Who will justify you & help you remain obedient, by faith and prayer )

"The Just shall live by Faith"

moral law summarized in the Ten Commandments on the other.
Is all the moral law actually included in those ten? Where is the commandment against child abuse, animal cruelty, or human trafficking? The Ten Commandments say do not murder, but Jesus says do not even hate. The moral law isn't summarized in the Ten Commandments; it is summarized in Love.

And you can continue to disregard the rest of the very verse you cited (Matt. 5:18): "until all is fulfilled",
which his atonement did, thereby ushering in the NC/Gospel that supersedes the OC/law as the means of attaining salvation.
please do look at the proper meaning for the word fulfill you will find many definitions for it, please use the proper meaning in the context of this verse and you will understand. it does not mean to end or abolish as many believe, just verify yourself and see.

You are right that Moses wrote down all the words of the Lord and read them to the people and sealed the covenant with blood. Nobody is dismissing that. It happened and it matters.

But here is what you cannot simply step around. What happened immediately after Exodus 24 changes everything. While Moses was on the mountain the people built a golden calf, worshipped it and descended into complete moral collapse at the very foot of the mountain where God had just spoken to them directly. (Exodus 32:1-6). That rebellion changed what came next permanently.

Moses himself reminded Israel of this in his farewell address just before they crossed into the promised land without him:

Remember and forget not how thou provokedst the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt ye have been rebellious against the LORD. Also in Horeb ye provoked the LORD to wrath so that the LORD was angry with you to have destroyed you. (Deuteronomy 9:7-8 KJV)

The additional laws, ordinances and sacrificial system that followed were God's direct response to that transgression. A temporary guardian added because of human sinfulness pointing forward to Christ. Scripture confirms this precisely:

Wherefore then serveth the law it was added because of transgressions till the seed should come. (Galatians 3:19 KJV)

And Moses himself declared the physical distinction God ordained between the covenant and the added law just before he died:

Take this Book of the Law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God so that it may remain there as a witness against you. (Deuteronomy 31:26 KJV)

Beside the ark. Not inside it. The book of the law written by Moses was placed beside the ark as a witness against the people because of their persistent transgression. But the Ten Commandments written by God's own finger were placed inside the ark where His very presence dwelt. Inside versus beside. God's writing versus Moses writing. The eternal covenant versus the ordinances added because of rebellion.

And God called what He wrote with His own finger the words of the covenant not once but five times throughout Scripture. (Exodus 34:28, Deuteronomy 4:13, Deuteronomy 5:2-3, Deuteronomy 10:4, 1 Kings 8:9). Five declarations. From God Himself. All pointing to the same thing. The covenant is the Ten Commandments.

That is why Exodus 34 matters. Not to ignore Exodus 24 but because God Himself declared what His covenant was in His own words five times and arranged everything physically to make that distinction permanently visible and impossible to miss.

And when God finished speaking the Ten Commandments directly to the entire assembly He did something He did with no other part of the law:

These words the Lord spake unto all your assembly with a great voice and he added no more. (Deuteronomy 5:22 KJV)

He added no more. God spoke the Ten Commandments directly. He wrote them Himself. He placed them inside the ark. He declared them His covenant five times. And then He stopped.

So the honest question is simply this. Why do you believe none of that is a distinction God Himself was deliberately and repeatedly making

Continually being stuck in the Old Testament, glossing over large amounts of scripture in the New, simply indicates that you are stuck in the Old Testament, case in point, your declaration that the 10 commandments are the covenant.

This is an anti-gospel declaration from which springs most of your other observations.

Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, which you continually and consistently deny by presenting the commandments as per the very op of this thread you began. Do you suppose He was absent during the OT timeline or perhaps not capable of securing salvation and so He needs our help to underscore his sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins?

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

Jesus sat down at the right hand of the throne of God because, as He said on the cross, IT IS FINISHED. If you are not completely trusting in Him, if you think you own efforts at law keeping add anything to God's perfect gift of salvation, YOU ARE DECEIVED and in the business of DECEIVING OTHERS.

The Father and Son are one, but the Father specifically commanded us to Listen to the Son, not to stay stuck in the old functions of the sanctuary. If the Son has ALL authority and says His new commandment is Love, then clinging to the old stone tablets is actually an act of disobedience to the current King. You are treating the Son like a secretary who just enforces the Fathers old rules instead of the King who has the authority to lead us into a New Covenant of rest. The sheep follow the living voice of the Son while the goats are still trying to find their merit in a blueprint of the past.

The only bad fruit I see here is your constant insults and hostility toward anyone who follows the simple words of Jesus. If your "simple logic" and "biblical proof" only lead you to judge and attack others, then you are the one failing the fruit test. Real sheep reflect the heart of the Shepherd, not a checklist of rules used as a weapon.

The term ""Moral ""is used by people, it is nor used in scrioture but there are other ""Moral "" commandments, Jesus mentioned 2; love with with all your heart stremght, and love your neighbour as yourself, if tyou see any other saying in the N.T. that are Good, you can certainly apply them also.

You are absolutely right that Jesus summarised the entire moral law in love. Nobody here is arguing against that. He said it Himself with complete clarity:

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (Matthew 22:37-40 KJV)

Love is the root. Everything hangs on it. That is gloriously true.

But here is where the argument stumbles. You are suggesting that because the Ten Commandments do not explicitly mention child abuse, animal cruelty or human trafficking they are therefore insufficient as a moral foundation. But that misunderstands what the Ten Commandments actually are. They are not an exhaustive legal code listing every possible sin. They are the foundational moral principles from which all specific applications of love and justice flow.

Think about it honestly. Child abuse is covered by the commandment to honour your father and mother which establishes the sacred nature of the parent child relationship, by the prohibition on murder which covers all destruction of innocent human life, and most fundamentally by the command to love your neighbour as yourself which Jesus confirmed as the heart of everything. Human trafficking is covered by the prohibition on stealing which includes stealing human freedom and dignity. Animal cruelty flows from the stewardship God gave humanity over creation from the very beginning. (Genesis 1:28).

The Ten Commandments are not a ceiling. They are a foundation. And Jesus did not come to replace that foundation with love as though they were competing alternatives. He came to show us that love is what the foundation was always built on. He said so Himself:

Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets. I am not come to destroy but to fulfil. (Matthew 5:17 KJV)

And then He went deeper into the commandments not away from them. Do not just avoid murder, deal with the anger that produces it. Do not just avoid adultery, deal with the lust that produces it. Do not just avoid false oaths, let your yes be yes. Jesus was not replacing the Ten Commandments with love. He was showing that genuine love from a transformed heart is what the Ten Commandments were always pointing toward.

The Ten Commandments and love are not two different moral systems competing for the top position. They are the same moral reality described from two different angles. Love is the spirit. The Ten Commandments are the practical daily expression of what that love looks like in real life. You cannot genuinely love your neighbour and murder them. You cannot genuinely love God and worship idols. You cannot genuinely love your neighbour and steal from them or lie about them or commit adultery against them.

Jesus tied them together permanently when He said:

If ye love me keep my commandments. (John 14:15 KJV)

He did not say if you love me the commandments because genuine love always expresses itself in specific, practical, daily obedience. That is not legalism. It is Love for our creator.

you have it all wrong, Jesus did say to keep the commandments, how he do it? the Holy Spirit see Jeremiah 31:31-34. Love is the core, the root of the commandments. He gave them to us so we can be with him in heaven it is the reason. Jesus made it possible for us, done reject his commandments. the old way, the letters on the tablets of stone if keeping them but not understanding how, Jesus explained all this. to follow his voice is to obey Jesus.

Despite her failures in 1844 and 1845, Mrs. White continued predicting Christ's imminent return. She and James appear to have quietely adopted Joseph Bates' prediction that the Day of Atonement would last seven years, and Christ would return in the fall of 1851.2 Mrs. White was soon having visions supporting Bates' flawed view. She had a vision on Nov. 18, 1848 (in Dorchester), and Bates published a transcript of it in his book, The Seal of the Living God, in 1849:

The time of trouble has commenced, the reason why the four winds have not been let go, for the saints are not all sealed...
( Ellen White, Present Truth, Sept. 1849.)

In the summer of 1849, a cholera epidemic struck American cities leaving hundreds of people dead. Mrs. White apparently saw this event as an end-time fulfillment of Jesus' prophecy of "pestilences" and other events which were the "beginning of sorrows" (Matt. 24:7-8). She instills terror in her readers with a graphic prediction of soon being surrounded with dead bodies:

What we have seen and heard of the pestilence, is but the beginning of what we shall see and hear. Soon the dead and dying will be all around us.3
Not long after this prophecy was penned the epidemic ended and the United States entered a period of relative peace and prosperity that lasted for many years. The above line was removed when the passage was republished 33 years later in Early Writings (1882).

Today, thanks to the foresight of those who quietly deleted it, few Seventh-day Adventists are aware of this inspired prophecy.

It should be noted that even today, the 'any minute now' doctrine of SDA "Jesus is coming are you ready?"...is being bandied about even though quite a bit of prophecy needs to be fulfilled before that occurs.

This constant so called prophetic ministry mimics without accuracy, actual biblical prophecy and the objections of those with even an inkling of discernment.

He did not say if you love me the commandments because genuine love always expresses itself in specific, practical, daily obedience. That is not legalism. It is Love for our creator.

You are trying to stretch the Ten Commandments to cover things like child abuse and trafficking just to keep them as your foundation, but why settle for a foundation of stone when Jesus gave us a foundation of the Spirit? You quoted Jesus saying if you love me keep my commandments, but you are ignoring that in John 15:10 He specifically distinguishes between the two:

“If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Jesus kept His Fathers commandments to perfectly fulfill the old contract, but He told us to keep HIS commandments. In John 13:34 He defined exactly what that looks like:

“A NEW commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.”
‭‭John‬ ‭13‬:‭34‬ ‭ESV‬‬

The sheep in Matthew 25 did not have a foundational checklist or a practical expression manual; they just had the nature of the Shepherd. If you need the stone tablets to tell you how to love your neighbor, you are still acting like a goat that needs a fence. A sheep just follows the King and the NEW commandment He gave us.

Most people miss what its really about, the mark of the beast is over worship- are we worshipping our Creator, or the government who changed God's times and laws. False worship according to Jesus in His own words is laying aside the commandment of God for traditions of men. He said it makes our worship to Him in vain (false)

Mark7: 7 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ 8 For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men

It comes down to which authority one is going to listen to. Whoever we obey is who we serve (worship) Rom6:16KJV

Rev 14:6 Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people—7 saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” quoting Exo20:11
8 And another angel followed, saying, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”
9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

The only safeguard to worship the beast system is found in the next verse which matches exactly what Jesus said- in vain they worship Me, keeping the commandments of men over the commandments of God. Those who worship our Creator Rev14:7 obey the commandments of God including the Sabbath and serve Him Isa56:6 not the beast who changed God's times and laws that most people follow which is a tradition over obeying the commandments of God.

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

The mark of the beast has not happened yet because we are free to worship God on the Sabbath like the commandment of God or Sunday like the tradition of man. But when the law goes in effect where Sunday worship is required and Sabbath worship is against the law that's when the mark of ten beast will take in effect. I know this seems far-fetched but they are already working on Sunday laws to pass and you don't pass laws without consequences otherwise there is no teeth to them.

So its not just "Sunday worship" that is the issue, is choosing to obey another voice other than God. Whoever we obey is who we serve or worship. Rom6:16KJV

Or we can obey God

Eze20: 20 hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the LORD your God.’

This SDA believer tells us to obey God while following a false individual, Ellen G White, whose many false visions and prophecies have failed and these are documented along with the failures and false representions.

Ellen White said an angel appeared to her to encourage her to present her visions etc. It is of no little significance, that all of the false so called 'ministries' today have been visited by what they call an angel. YET we are warned in scripture that if anyone at all, including spiritual beings, present a gospel other than the one in scripture, they are to be rejected!

But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be under a curse!
Gal. 1:8

This apparition made itself known to White in the month of Dec. 1844. (Ellen G. White: The Early Years: 1827-1862, vol. 1, p. 63)

At this point, White referred to herself as a 'messenger of God'. Consult (Life Sketches of Ellen G. White, p. 71) for further info on her portraying herself in the presence of angels...plural...and the physical sensations often experienced by people who are being seduced by lying teaching spirits. Consult 'War on the Saints', by Jesse Pen Lewis, a history of satanic deception in Christianity and the conflict between good and evil.

So it would seem that the actual choice is between White and the actual Bible.

( Ellen White, Present Truth, Sept. 1849.)

In the summer of 1849, a cholera epidemic struck American cities leaving hundreds of people dead. Mrs. White apparently saw this event as an end-time fulfillment of Jesus' prophecy of "pestilences" and other events which were the "beginning of sorrows" (Matt. 24:7-8). She instills terror in her readers with a graphic prediction of soon being surrounded with dead bodies:

Please ask your AI to quote one time EGW herself gave a date for God's Second Coming

Is Jesus a false prophet in your view because He predicts His imminent return

Some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom Matthew 16:28. On its face, that sounds like something at least some of his hearers would witness within their lifetime.

this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened Matthew 24:34

Behold, I am coming soon Revelation 22:12.

EGW never set one date for God's second coming. These accusations have been twisted around just as people twist Scriptures we are warned about 2Peter3:16

We can make anyone say anything when we delete the context.

Now you are falsely misrepresenting me. I do not use AI. The false visions and prophecies of White are well documented.

If you cannot see that and instead accuse a person of using AI, it simply underscores your inability to be truthful. You really should stop accusing someone of using AI as it is character assa sination...another thing you are good at.

Of course you would not want to point out the error and biblical misrepresentation or the way White kept predicting Jesus was going to come back at any moment...kind of like some of you are doing in this thread. You cannot be very accurate with actual biblical prophecy to keep making that statement.

Its the same format as AI and if not AI an anti-SDA site- why don't you post your resources its the same critic play book that each one has been addressed. Jesus made it sound like He would come back at any moment- is He also a false prophet in your view?

Perhaps He is false to you since you misquote Him so often.

As it is, Jesus said NO ONE knows the hour of His return. Just another false representation of Jesus by SDA
