If the seeker didn't believe it existed, he wouldn't bother even hoping to find it, he would put all of his effort into being content where he is. This is an example of works following faith. Even if I used an example where the hope disappoints, believing that God exists and is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him does not disappoint because it's not a fairy tale. If I believe that God can and has cleansed me from all of my sin, then I won't have much trouble walking in purity.

100% dependent on Father, who the the Disciples, reported to us the people, now known as the bible. Jesus said, I do nothing or say anything without Father's lead\. Amazing If we the people become 100% dependant on Father as Jesus is, there would be no time for any sin, or would their be? I mean focusing on God, alone through risen Son gives from Father new life to reside in, having no time for anymore sin. Romans 8 upon these things focus and see truth, Father by risen Son for us all too
Then in John 20 after risen and had not yet ascended told Mary to not touch, he had not ascended yet
Then said he goes to his Father now yours Mary. Now our Father too. Amazing, as we each personally turn to God in Faith to God,
then God starts growing us up (Hebrews 5:12-Ch. 6 new daily in seeing new, more and more as we do not quit belief to this amazing truth, he is risen for us to be also, no matter what, at least me, this I see clearer and clearer daily. Blows my mind
And I love deeper and deeper in God's truth of love and mercy to us all, not a few, thank you for your post

You're asking me to account for the motivation not others others. That's unreasonable. What I know is people are responsible for the choices they make. They may not be aware why they make the choices they make but they are responsible for their choices. Even people who are drunk but drive and kill someone are responsible for their choice to drive even though alcohol impairs their judgement. Scripture is quite clear people will be held responsible for their actions or inactions.

No he didn't get them to eat it, they decided to eat it. Free will. No one was more with God then Adam and Eve and they chose pride over God.

If Jesus wasn't able to refuse the cross then what he did wasn't because he loved us. Thomas Aquinas said, "love is to will the good of the other". The will is our thoughts and our choices being focused on the good of others not ourselves.

That he chose it is a wonderful thing that made salvation available to us at all but our accepting the gift and nurturing it to maturity is our choice. His choice was to freely give his life up for us and so our choice should be to freely give our lives up to him. That's a choice but unlike Jesus we aren't perfect and can fall away.

Yes God first loved you therefore you CAN love others but that's not the same as you always DO love others. That's a choice. Loving the people who love us is no virtue. Tax collectors do that much Scripture tells us, Loving the people who don't love us is a choice. That's the real choice.

Lok to Ezekiel 36:26 and ask God for the new heart. Once given this, there is no more need to think and decide things, anymore to be right, whrnob only Father is good as in Matthew 19 states, Mark and Luke also.

No need to think anything over anymore once love leads, the love of God 1 Cor 13:4-7, 13. One, anyone can rest when see Col 1:21-22 as correct and done for us forever works through us, taking no credit in it to self ever, at least to me thank you love you from God in mercy and true for us all to all John 13:34

Here's your problem you think all this is an either/or proposition its not, it's both/and. I trust completely in God because I don't trust completely in myself. You and I will be judged on our actions or inactions. On that point scripture is quite clear.
