thrift store haul.jpg

OK - photos I take from my phone tend to post sideways...:confused:

This is a thrift store haul from earlier in the week:

1. A paper cutter - to use with patterns I create in my stained glass work
2. A glass candle holder - I may put a mirror base on the upper box and resell. It has a nice rose etched in one of the beveled sides. Once sold, it will more than pay for itself and will have provided me with a fun side project. I'll also use the one beveled piece on the base that does not have engraving. Repurposing thrift store glasswork is kind of fun!.
3. A cookbook of one-pot cooking
4. A book entitled "American Roots Music" - includes histories of blues, zydeco, country & western, gospel, etc.
5. A book of Escher's mind blowing art
6. A two foot tall blue nutcracker - been wanting one for years!
7. Two blue (can you tell that I like blue?) martini style glasses with contemporary striped etchings.

This put me back about $40.

I keep going to the shops to do my Christmas shopping, but I just end up buying myself some gifts. I haven't been very productive.

The last thing I bought was groceries. It included the following:

Tcc-Coconut-Milk-Premium.jpg152608.jpg785077.JPG008160.jpg

Exciting, I know.

Chocolate skim milk, popcorn, and my workout supplements. With the exception of the occasional toy or workout equipment, I don't really buy much outside of necessities, so often I have nothing that's really worth taking a pic of lol.

I just got this book and am starting to read it. Pretty interesting. It's about using a special brain scan to "see" brain functions and use this information to diagnose and treat people who are suffering from a wide variety of both psychological and physiological disorders.

Yes, I also went through a rough spot with replacing alternator and a service.

Please let me know when you finish reading it. It sounds interesting.

Ummm, I'm smoking again. I grudged the money spent on the cigarettes.

So last night bought over $500 in College books for the oldest!!! I bought some silverware for me yesterday as I seriously cannot figure out where it keeps disappearing too. And I bought some Gas Gift Cards for my nephew for his birthday this morning so he can travel to his favorite fishing spot.

hmmmmmm ... Very suspicious! I wonder if your silverware and my missing soc eloped and are long gone.

I really think that expensive colleges and universities are the 2nd biggest racket in this country, topped only by the pharmaceutical industry.

I didn't remember. Please remind me what I did here. Did I say something in the past. I apologize... Thanks.

I bought a 5lb tub of protein powder of "Chocolate Milkshake" flavour. :D
