Scripture says otherwise, in Acts 11:26, 26:28, and 1 Peter 4:16.There Is no such name as Christian.
Again not sure what your point is? Do you think marrying and having children is some kind of sin?If you look at humanity as a whole..regardless of religious preference...you will see they all follow the same path....but worship in various ways...people marry..have children and so the cycle continues....
remember Jesus said...where the blind lead the blind both fall in the pit....and he commanded us not to trust anyone who teaches contrary to the Gospel....which is the sacred instruction of God
The abandonment of everything for the sake of Jesus and the Gospel....
would be nice to discuss
It is the name that the masses gave to the followers of Jesus....

Not sure what you are implying in this thread? Are you saying that we need to acctually forsake fathers, mothers, husband/wives, children etc. and literally sell all that we own?
If so, do you really think this is what Jesus was teaching and meant? Do you really think that God would want mothers and fathers to abandon their children? Or sell their homes and make their children homeless? Or for husbands and wives to abandon one another?
Was he not simply saying to put him first above all else?
Ok, no such thing as a Christian then in the bible. Not even a term used derogatory, in Antioch? Ok I would define a believer today ( or a child of God ) as someone who is in the body of Christ. We can't go back in time to before the cross. We have to look to how salvation is appropriated today . And its not by ' fruit bearing ' i think Cain tried that one .There Is no such name as Christian....there are just the children of God and the children of satan......as Jesus said by their fruits ye shall Know Them....most certainly true
Yes and a disciple is one who follows in the masters footsteps......and if they do not follow and desert their master to avoid the suffering.....then what are they now called...Yes exactly Christians are disciples of Jesus Christ .
Walking like Jesus involved fulfilling all righteousness, walking on water , perfect obedience to the law , dying on a cross for the sins of the world , being buried and rising from the dead . I always wonder why folks say " we must walk as Jesus did " ?most certainly...we must walk as Jesus did....unto death
like I said not all can accept..as the masses said...this is very hard teaching who can accept it..
The cross is ever before us and in us....as Paul said..I carry the crucified Christ in meOk, no such thing as a Christian then in the bible. Not even a term used derogatory, in Antioch? Which verse is that please? The cross is ever before us and in us....as Paul said..I carry the crucified Christ in me
Could you explain what the Gospel is please ? which verses are you referring to when you say gospel ?If you look at humanity as a whole..regardless of religious preference...you will see they all follow the same path....but worship in various ways...people marry..have children and so the cycle continues....

It seems to me that you have a narrow view of what makes a true believer in Christ. You consider yourself to be one, but you think very few others are. Do you attend a fellowship with other believers?Yes and a disciple is one who follows in the masters footsteps......and if they do not follow and desert their master to avoid the suffering.....then what are they now called...
Those are the mysteries of God....and the spiritual meanings are concealed....this is why Jesus said..give not your gift to the dogs...for they will devourWalking like Jesus involved fulfilling all righteousness, walking on water , perfect obedience to the law , dying on a cross for the sins of the world , being buried and rising from the dead . I don't think that's true ? Are you referring to this verse ?The cross is ever before us and in us....as Paul said..I carry the crucified Christ in me
