Perhaps if you would devote more time yourself to study of scripture you would understand. Christ said, and I paraphrase, "they killed me and they'll try to kill you. I bring not peace, but a sword. You'll have to hate your family if necessary". He said much more than that. You simply don't understand the work of satan when you see it.
Christ expects us to stand against, to repel, to take our ultimate weapon, His word, into the fray and do battle with those evil forces.
satan goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. You want peace? Join the battle and fight 'til the end so you can inherit that peace.
2 Timothy 4:7,8 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."
