Judging people according to the day they go to church is not biblical, there is no biblical backup for it.
I agree, and you still need to provide a source for your information regarding pagan worship practices.

Why do you think you are so against all scripture?

I am not against scripture

I am posting to the people interested in what scripture tells us, you are not so why are you reading posts?

Im Reading posts because I can

You are using them , distorting what they say so by the time you answer it is a testimony against all that is of the Lord.

Wow you really think highly of your posts

It was the Lord who told us to kill animals as a symbol of Christ's giving blood for sin. It was the Lord who told us that we must not do that after Christ gave His blood for our sin. Are you against God?

No, I'm no fool

I have said that the Lord established the Sabbath at creation, do you think that the Lord did not do this?

No I don't believe he did

You speak of obeying man's interpretation of scripture, have you seriously considered doing this?

Nonsensical.....please explain

Are you putting me up for trial so that you may judge me, and what gives you the right to be my judge?
When you post on a public forum you put yourself on trial besides have you forgot what Jesus said?
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Matthew 12:37 KJV

Sorry I'm still trying to figure out the best way to respond to these posts.....

1.) When you post on a public forum you set yourself up to be judged

For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Matthew 12:37

2.) No I don't believe God established the Sabbath at creation

Let me make sure we are on the same page.

Do you observe Saturday as the sabbath day of the OT

It is the Lord that justifies, and the lord that condemns, not people. That is why I never post without consulting scripture and prayer. I have posted inaccurate scripture, but a kind poster pointed it out to me so I could be forgiven. He used scripture to show me, not name calling.

I am condemned by people here, but it is for such as saying that God created a Sabbath, or that there is law, God called it Torah, or that God spoke to all people, God included all in His love not just the Israelites. I use scripture to speak of these things and there are others here who are as interested in scripture as I am. I speak of scripture, only, and being aware that Christ said not to call others a fool even, I try to never judge people--only scripture. I stated that God does not judge people by the day they go to church and someone wanted scripture back up for that, and of course there is no scripture saying God judges us by the day we go to church.

It is amazing there is no name calling and judging people if they go to church on Sunday, but the whole world comes crashing down on anyone who would dare go to church on Saturday.

It is none of your business what day I go to church. You garble my posts so in your mind that it is better for both of us if you would please refrain from reading them.

God made it "Holy" And 'Rested" Ex: 20:11 says he established the 7th day at creation. And verse 8 says we should Remeber this day and keep it holy. By following the 4th command we are "keeping it holy" "Keep" meaning faithful to. or in keeping a promise to God"

When we Keep the promise we are living by faith not by sight! One day might seem like the all the rest but we are not asked to see the 7th day in our own understanding but by faith. And by doing this by faith you are pleasing God.

here's the earliest writing i found that says 8th-day worship assembly has pagan origins:

View attachment 222491

this was published in 1928

the author says ((without any historical documentation)) that sunday was a pagan worship day.
the author also says that sabbath has pagan origins.
the author also says that Jesus didn't die.
the author also says that Jesus didn't perform any miracles.
the author also says that Jesus wasn't born of a virgin.

((source: https://truthsnitch.com/2018/08/17/refuting-the-pagan-origins-of-the-lords-day-myth-part-1-did-pagans-celebrate-a-weekly-festival-on-sunday/#sthash.X4BuXW1z.Ppadt5Vw.dpbs))

is this y'alls 'historical source' @Blik @mustaphadrink ?
To put your mind at rest, I have never heard of or seen the book in question, let alone read it. And to put the record straight, I NEVER form a doctrine based on one book. My tally to date must be nearing 30 in all as I have already said. But I guess when you have blinkers on, it must be difficult to see beyond their field of vision.

@Blik @mustaphadrink

here are 15 pre-Nicene Christian sources demonstrating without controversy that the custom of believers in Christ was to meet on the 8th day for worship.
here is where you can find their writings both in the original languages and English translations:
https://www.documentacatholicaomnia.eu/25_20_25-_Rerum_Conspectus_Pro_Auctoribus_Ordinatus.html

these are not pagan sources. their justifications are from the scripture, not from 'previous pagan habits'

please give me even one single source prior to the 19th century that demonstrates anything to the contrary.
Somebody is having a lend of somebody as there are only seven days in a week.

can you please post the evidence, so we're not just hearing your opinion, but actual fact?

what early church writings say Christians met on the 7th day and not the 8th? please cite them.
I don't need to as there is no eight-day. A week consists of seven days, not eight.

In the same way, ex idol worshippers met on the day they had always met. They formerly met on Sunday to worship the sun god.
I have never read that in any book I have read on the subject so I will let that one go through to the keeper. What I have read in many books is that the New Testament Church, which was known as The Way, consisted mainly of Jews and they did not stop being Jews to become a follower of the Messiah, so they continued to meet on the sabbath (Saturday) in the synagogue and every other night in their homes for meals together.

They were not Christians as that term did not come into being until Acts 15 and it was given by unbelievers as a term of scorn.

Yes, even as late as Acts 22, this was what Paul said of Ananias

12 And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there,

Jews who believed still continue to keep the Law of Moses.

Maybe he is a programmer. They changed the numbering system to 8, 16, and 64. They count to 16, like we count to ten, then spill over. like we spill over after ten to 11, then 21, etc. So Tuesday would be our Monday and ???????

the 8th day is also the first. 8 is congruent to 1 modulo 7.

i can provide you with 100 examples of early church writings calling it 'the 8th day' in no uncertain terms if you like. it is a very well established thing.
let me know. it would be later this evening when i have time.

To be fair..... I didn't ask you what day you go to church on....I could care less if you go 7 days a week, 365 days a year and one extra day on leap year....

I was only trying to figure out what we was disagreeing on. With all due respect I find your posts hard to follow.....

The law was given in Exodus 16 creation was in Genisis 1

The word sabbath isn't in the book of Genisis and there is no record of anyone prior to the law given in Exodus 16 keeping the sabbath (Adam never kept the Sabbath, nor did Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph or anyone in while in Egyptian bondage.)

You said "verse 8 says we should remember this day and keep it holy"

Could you give me a few examples of how I should "keep" the sabbath? Another words what I can and cannot do on sabbath day?
