Not any more! They are now going to court to prosecute someone who assaulted the officers with a deadly sandwich.

People used to ask, "What if this is as good as it gets?," implying there is nothing better to look forward to, and other would say, "Oh, you've seen nothing yet." implying the worst is still to come. Both are fairly pessimistic outlooks even though the former attempts to make the best of it. And then there's the old saying, "No news is good news." which strikes me as saying, The gospel is no news." Well, that is an fairly accurate statement, I suppose, but it leaves something out that I'm having some trouble defining, and I don't know why. 
The only job originally was to protect from all foriegn and domestic enemies. Too bad the left doesnt like that.

I like Texas. Makes America whole and the map looks better with Texas in it.

You’re reading way too much into my comment. It had nothing to do with the union. It had to do with Feds interfering in states rights. They do what they do and we do what we do and everything’s fine.
My how things change. I don't know how many remember, but in 2015 the US military was planning a large military exercise in TX. People were freaking out and saying Obama was planning to send in the Guard, take their guns and declare martial law. Alex Jones was one of the loudest mouths.
But now, when the Guard and military have actually been deployed in two US cities with very little justification, everyone is praising the Donald's "bold and strong leadership," including Ted Cruz of TX. I remember Cruz, when he spoke at the Republican National Convention in 2016, couldn't even bring himself to endorse Donald but told people to "vote their conscience." Now he's one of his biggest cheerleaders.
A dark shadow has been cast over this nation. I just hope and pray people will repent and turn back to the Lord for real, not just to score political points.

Our politicians seems to have lost their backbone. It’s like a schoolyard. The bully gets to reign until someone gives him a beating.
