“Should Christians fight back physically or resist by force the such a Governmental Law and confiscation of property and destruction of life with weapons, such as guns, knives, and physical violence, for Jesus said, “… he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one”?
“Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.” – Luke 22:36 KJB
“For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.” – Luke 22:37 KJB
“And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords (*). And he said unto them, It is enough.” – Luke 22:38 KJB
(*Simon Peter, being one, and the other likely being Simon the Zealot; the two Simons. Any system which today is like that?)
What did Jesus mean?
Did the disciples understand Jesus’ words about the selling of the garment and the buying of a sword?
No.
The disciples still misunderstood Jesus’ spiritual meanings with physical meanings, even after so long a time with Him. Jesus was
not talking about physical weapons.

The disciples were to trade in their old ‘garments’ of self-righteousness, and take up His righteousness, the sword of the word of God.
“And, behold, one of them (Peter; John 18:10 KJB) which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear.” – Matthew 26:51 KJB
“Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword (*) into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.” – Matthew 26:52 KJB
(* Did Jesus say, “My sword”, or “thy sword”?)
“Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?” – Matthew 26 :53 KJB
Jesus also said:
“Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” – Matthew 5:10 KJB
“Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.” – Matthew 5:11 KJB
“But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.” – Matthew 5:39 KJB
“Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. ” – Matthew 5:43 KJB
“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; ” – Matthew 5:44 KJB
“That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.” – Matthew 5:45 KJB
“Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” – Matthew 5:48 KJB
“Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.” – John 18:36 KJB
“He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.” – Isaiah 53:7 KJB
“Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.” – Psalms 44:22 KJB
“The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.” – Matthew 10:24 KJB
“It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?” – Matthew 10:25 KJB

Jesus was made to be sin for us …
Our resistance is the "Word".
