Why are you asking me who has authority over me, Christ or a Pastor? I have not yet developed deep convictions on gender issues in the church. In our present form, we let everyone participate as lead by the Holy Spirit and authority/gender issues have not yet caused any controversy. Sorry.

Its a growing attitude with woman that men think that way.
Yet i dont know of any men who think that way.
But i do know alot of men who would rather not retool scripture

I personally didnt care fo the angle from the start back

Being a jerk is simply that. Disrespect, borderline slander etc.
But in case you didnt notice it was done to both male and female
alike and seemed childish to bring up the man thing is all. I see
the point you were making. But i really thought it was not covering
the woman who were also involved in the same situation.

My opinion is that the real subject should be how do we act when
discussing theology. See to some im lukewarm because i dont believe
in burning heretics at the stake. Actually i dont really approve of using the
word. I dont like false teaching, but im not willing to slug it out. And if
i ever get rude its not because i believe im allowed to that i should.

So the issue with me is how far do we go with standing for the truth?
Of coarse i understand not everyones truth is true...but my point is
behaviour. As i see we all have our own ideas on that. Some draw the line
at cutting and quartering them. Some drop it when it gets past polite.

So if anyone has that figured out maybe they can share.

My view is that we treat everyone better than ourselves. And that
we are not to strive. But again i may just be lukewarm

Perhaps that is justified. However, if you described their characteristics to a T without mentioning who it is, you're actually accusing nobody personally. Note the Scripture:

One person's accusation will hold no water. As a matter fact, one lone person making any accusation is often looked upon as a guilty party themselves, as you have said something already similar. There are other witnesses, but trying to get a Christian to speak up for what is right like pulling cow teeth. If the amount of witnesses increase, the chances are better to at least get two or three. So, with the issue out in the open, folks can see for themselves who I am talking about, knowing them by their fruits. It may not get anything accomplished as far as disciplinary action, but the majority will have open eyes to see for themselves. Some think I'm just causing trouble...... others will see that I am simply opening the eyes of the blind. Once they see, they will also see the damage resulting from this. This is what I want. I'm not trying to make an accusation....... I'm simply increasing the number of people who will see the truth, and letting them decide on their own what they think should be done.

I don't have a vendetta of getting someone banned. I believe this forum needs renewal. The only way you could have renewal is to expose sin for what it is.

I hear alot in the threads that men make judgements in scripture interpretation
based on a depraved attitude towards woman. You said some men in here want woman
under their feet. Ive been told that a few times as a response to how i view scripture
yet its not my attitude at all, nor any man i know. That was my point on that.
Already in this thread some woman sort of attacked me on this, and i wasnt even
talking in this thread about that topic. It was assumed....as i said this is a growing
attitude woman are being led into. Yet i dont personally know any man that wants
woman under foot.

Sorry I'm late on this, EG, I just got back in from work. This is not about accusations, neither is it about names. I am speaking about actual people who do such actual things. This is not about all women, neither is it specifically about men. It is about "certain" women who have argued, mocked, and ridiculed many people in this forum. Most of these that do don't believe in women preachers or teachers, and they strictly do not believe a woman should use any type of authority over a man who is a Christian. Yet over and over they dominate other people, without any concern about how they make people feel. I'm trying to catch up to the other pages, to see if anyone has any thoughts on my three questions.

hopefully we get this narrowed down a little.
not quite understanding the issue.

it might be a good idea to possibly cast a wider net on this mockery issue....such as what do "certain people"(we could keep it vague and suggestive but not specific) who believe "certain" things....and teach them to others...which are actually a mockery of the Holy Spirit.

i wonder which issue is the most important?

As for those posters here who feel they are not intelligent enough to participate in any thread, you are mistaken. Sometimes the most simply stated posts are the ones most easily understood to get the point across.
This was the show stopper for me=People who call themselves Christians, then want to debate their beliefs that they KNOW are not in the Bible. Then there are others who participate in those threads who actually admit they know & say "But that is one of those Scirptures I dismiss because I don't agree with it". When I tried to participate in the abortion discussion which was started as a pro abortion thread,I showed Scripture where abortion was wrong, & I was called "sick & twisted" by another poster.(among other things).So basically, Some Christians do NOT look to the Bible to confirm their beliefs.Some posters at this site don't care what the Bible says & will admit it & be very rude to you because you go to Scripture for confirmation. They are looking for confirmation from other posters for their OWN beliefs, who also call themselves "Christians". I can't hang with that.

Because that thread was opened, others were able to bless her and change her mind. Just one is worth at all. Maybe something like that could happen on this one as well.

Yes but i think its a sin thing not a wrong theology issue. Alot of wonderful marriages have proven that.
Most of the time that stuff happens in the dark. Many churches see the need and try to involved men
in mens groups so men can be taught what causes abuse and such. Most men dont want to be that way
but simply find themselves without the tools and knowledge. Some are just plain blind. They do their best
but havnt a clue what their doing if they didnt have it in their upbringing. Woman have issues also but quite different.
Id say sick is an ok word. God used the word sick in Isaiah. Its definantly an issue no church should avoid.
