Most humans would not have been able to survive the suffering which Yeshua (Jesus) endured even before he reached Golgatha. The reason Yeshua could do so was because he was both the Son of G*d and the Son of Man. G*d turned the sky so dark that no one could see the hand in front of their face before he began to pour out judgement on Yeshua, the Messiah. Yeshua had remained silent through all the suffering which man had inflicted upon him before G*d's judgment. When G*d began to judge the Messiah for all of our sins, Yeshua screamed for the first time 'My G*d, My G*d! Why have you foresaken me!" When G*d was finished pouring out this judgement on the Messiah, Yeshua said 'tetalestai!' Grammatically, this phrase is written in the perfect passive indicative tense, signifying that an action has been completed in the past, yet the result is ongoing and in full effect.
