Typical weekend.......Church, tennis, shopping, and chores. I live in the fast lane...haha! I might go out with friends Sunday night... Who knows?!?!

I'm going to church on Sunday and that day i will get my prayer notebook by mail., i'm a notebook junkie! Hehe. Saturday i might hit the pool but i don't know.

Typical day chores. I'm taking a break from my dissertation. I think I might plow my garden under.

Tomorrow (Saturday) is my day off. I will be watching soccer all day. That's about it.

Ahh weekend has come. I'm attending a birthday party. Lots of games and fun. In exchange for sleep, however.

The rest of the weekend, I'll spend studying.

I'm very very very very sleepy.

Going to the Chiefs game this Sunday.

th

After church, playing piano in a wedding.

After that, I'm taking lil' road trip to Oregon. I don't know yet if I'll leave Sunday after the wedding or if I'll get a good night's sleep and leave Monday morning - I have most of next week off. I'm delivering a stained glass panel I made for a friend's business up to her (ex CC member Olerica, if anyone remembers her).

Of COURSE we remember Olerica! Why did she leave, when is she coming back, and could you tell her Lynx said hi?

I'm on my way back to the states this weekend...time to assess the extent of hurricane damage to my house in person (my neighbor emailed me pics) and deal with the insurance company. Also, laundry.

I miss my bed, my shower, normal drinking water, and my dog.

God really knows what he is doing. I have been feeling very down recently. I am tired, and when I am,the self pity and loneliness lurk around to grab hold of me. Friday, and finally done teaching at 7 pm. I had a visitor coming through Airbnb. Oh dear. Another one... I am not in the mood. I want to just watch TV, eat my Friday chips, drink my Friday soda. And just tend to my Friday misery. But God wanted it differently. The sweetest girl arrived. A Christian woman from the UK. Why are most of my guests Christians? Why are they feeling free to speak about their faith? Anyway. God knows who he is sending. And He knows what I need. Always. It is going to be a good weekend after all.

Working out at the gym, cleaning the house, studying/researching (typical grad student stuff), clean out and hand wash my car, and go grocery shopping.

Finishing up chapter 6 of the dissertation. So near the end of this cotton-picking document I can see the finish line.

Have a couple movies on the DVR I want to watch.

Making pork tenderloin sammiches for supper tonight and thinking about making corned beef and cabbage for Sunday supper.

Friend came over for the weekend. We have been speaking linguistics, politics, kids , men and cooked. We were supposed to eat rakfisk today, but we are really full after a delicious lamb curry (with a minor chilli accident) so rakfisk will be tomorrow's lunch. And a roast beef will crown the weekend tomorrow. Life is good. Even without meatloaf.

I got fever today so I couldn't go to church. Haven't been here in a while. How is everyone?

This is a weekend to remember. First a confession. I have been avoiding a certain game on my computer since July, and I have been quite proud of that. But yesterday I fell back into temptation. Winter and depression are getting closer and I decided to allow myself this weakness. So. One of my things this weekend will be milking cows.
I have tons of digital paperwork to do, and that will be my day tomorrow. And on Sunday I am off to meet my new servive dog. A black lab called Memo. I will, after 10 rejections from dog friendly people that all love Plato, keep him for my self, though. And because of that, I need a bigger bed. I need space for two big dogs now. Anyway. I am very excited to train with my new dog. It will be great fun. Perhaps so fun I will forget about milking virtual cows.
