My turn offs... Hmm..

-unathletic/out of shape
- smoke ANYTHING.
-close minded
-too nerdy (some nerdiness is cute. like Tina Fay. But not TOO much)
-If I dress better than she does, there's a problem haha
-racist/prejudice/homophobic/anti-semitic or anti-islamic
-unintelligent (not interested or knowledgeable about political and world events)
- [Republican]

Fixed it for you! :P

I wasn't sure if the two above it completely covered it. I felt a blanket statement might be best, based on other posts.

All in good fun my Brother.

JERK! Lol
I've dated a Republican once... And then I realized I was slowly started to hate (no not really, but you know what I mean) her. And I was worried I'd strangle her in her sleep... So I dumped her haha.
Nothing against Republicans (well...) I voted for a Republican for congress... And I'm pretty economically conservative. But... Some of your women... (Ann Coulter, Sarah Palin) they just need to... well stop lol

This is very interesting as I have found that some things that were deal breakers for me are not so much anymore and now I have new deal breakers. They have changed as I have matured. (I guess I have matured!?!?!?!?!!?!!???)

For instance I sat infron tof this guy today in church, He was probably in his late 40's and chubby and balding, but for some reason I thought he was so cute. Maybe because before service started we chatted a little about making sure our cell phones were off and he seemed very nice.

But several years ago, I would have thought why is this creepy old bald man talking to me.

Today I would say a red flag is when someone who professes Jesus as their Lord and Savior, gives me a dozen reasons why they don't attend service regularly. Just be honest and say "I just don't go I have no excuse."

(shaking my head) That was your dream guy sent by God and you let him get away. :(

JERK And I was worried I'd strangle her in her sleep... So I dumped her haha.

hahaha..that's funny :)

I wouldn't have to completely agree with someone politically, but I do think being polar opposites could be quite an issue, as I'm pretty passionate about what I believe. :)

On the smoking issue, I don't condemn people who haven't kicked the habit (I have my vices too), but it would be an issue for me simply because I have a touch of asthma. :(

And bigotry is a HUGE turnoff....can't abide it.

I guess another red flag would be predictability.

If every time I see this person the conversations feel pre-scripted which kind of leads to pre-scripted dates, which I would only assume leads to a pre-scripted and highly predictable marriage. *yawn* Even so much as a sniff of Wally and the Beaver; I will run.

So with that said I think I'm going to post a '6 flags that put someone over-the-top relationship wise.'-Thread

Other than the obvious stuff...i guess i have a hard time having a list.............I think outside of the glaring obvious, red flags slowly appear over time....relationships are like early morning fog.............the fog goes away as the day goes on...........so as the relationship goes on..all the stuff covering up the red flags goes away.........

Do they STOP in the name of love or do they STOP in the name of Love ! What gets them to slow down in life, be still? Is it the love of God in their life or secular love that drives them ?

Are they so gaga over you that they are letting God slip to number two???

Are they wanting to spend quiet time with God sometimes or always with YOU ? ?

IF you want a Godly guy or gal, not to mention, not have sin and have God'
s blessings in your life, you must put God (not your significant other) FIRST in your life and there will be times when doing that kind of sacrifice will be tough. But it was tough on others too, right. You know who Abraham was and the sacrifice he was willing to make because he was being obedient to God. If you don't know what the sacrifice was, here's a hint: his son. Oh, I guess that was way too much so much more than a hint, oh well, I'm not so good at hints sometimes I guess . :-)

Stilly does have a point. It could be foolish to draw rapid conclusions without taking the time to learn why/how people are the way they are, why they do the things they do/believe the things they believe.

There was someone who posted in these threads in recent weeks that, at first glance, I would never have considered to have the sensitivity they displayed in something they wrote. It was a very touching surprise. Lesson learned.

Lack of ambition, bad hair, and lack of respect.

Also if a guy smells amazing he will instantaneously be 10,000% more attractive.

I'm so with you on the smelling good thing, Amjet!! Maybe we can go sniff guys in the cologne department at the mall sometime. hahaha Though I have to admit that most of the time it's not a cologne I like at all, it's a soap or shampoo...

Yesss... some repeats but all true, no less.

- bad hygiene (aka smelling bad)
- smoking
- lying at any level
- emotionally unstable
- apathetic towards others/laziness
- selfishness
- self-centeredness
- clingyness (Oh my word, I need my space, too)
- disrespect to anybody
- ignorance
- not active at all/unwilling to try anything active/new
- inconsiderate
- "woe is me" mentality (pessimism?)
- unwillingness to communicate
- whining

Hi, Perdy.
Good traít list, milady. Perdy, you oughta write a book on this stuff, call it, Trait Me Right, Guys.p
Anyway, the trait you think pessimism, Woe Is Me. , would be a 'defeatest' traít. Later, Mac lady. God bless :-)

Someone always sick, even when the doctors say she is fine. I can not stand anyone that just wants me to forget my friends.

ANYONE that thinks they will come before my daughter or god.

Anyone that thinks they are going to change me into something that i don't want.

Someone that can't cuddle.

Inked, you got me thinking about a time way back when ... my college rookie and I met some girl friends jun California (we went to school in Spokane, Washington State). Anyway, we met up and it was fun for 6 hours but then BOTH girls started acting tired. There was a connection between my friend and one of the two girls but he said I distinctly heard, 'Their energy level just dropped off .' Or something real close said to that. So yeah, I agree winked, a girl who is always tired and one who is not feeling good a lot is red. A red flag, as long as God agrees. ;-)
