There is a whole forum dedicated to prayer requests. Make one there? I'm surprised that the prayer thread was placed here and not in the Prayer forum. I mean, that's where it would logically go right?
Thread title -Prayers for people you dislike
or vice versa - Prayers for people who dislike you.
People will always disagree on where to place certain threads.
As the author of a thread, you have to take a lot of things into consideration when choosing which forum to post in. For example, Zero brought up that several of my threads being in Family now, and that's because we had a lot of married friends who wanted to answer, but didn't want to have to go to the Singles Forum.
I put the Praying for People You Don't Like thread in Singles because when we singles have disagreements with someone, it's generally just us and God.
Marrieds theoretically have someone else in their corner to at least back them up. So, I was interested the whole discussion around single people who feel alone in their distress, and how they communicate with God about it.
I also see the Prayer Forum as being a place for prayer requests and not discussions about prayer. I felt that dropping a big discussion about prayer itself might interrupt the flow of that section, seeing as people go there to make or reply to prayer requests.
But that's just my own opinion. I always have specific reasons why I put things in certain forums. For instance, some have said I should post in Miscellaneous and not Family, but I've noticed that Miscellaneous gets used for a lot of political discussions and world events, and I don't want to interrupt that vibe, either.
One of the few luxuries a thread writer has is deciding where to put their musings, and it might often be for reasons the readers don't understand.
Not everyone will agree with the choices that are made, but for me, my only concern is if the moderators want to see certain threads in certain areas -- then, of course, I would oblige, especially if/when the mods moved my threads themselves or sent me a notice.
